We loved the merchandise in Conservatory Coastal Home very much and really enjoyed the beachy themes that this store had to offer! I particularly enjoyed the large blue glass balls, their small ornamental air plants in glass balls, the chandelier and lamps! The staff here were extremely friendly and very helpful with whatever questions we had. Steve and I have been wanting to do a beach themed room for a very, very long time and were trying to get ideas as to how and what kind of decor we wanted to make that happen. For the longest time we just had bits and pieces for ideas at various stores but at Conservatory Coastal Home we had a good idea about a lot of the things we had in mind for such a room come all together to give us a fresh perspective as to how to go about creating our beach themed room.

There was one of RuPaul, Pee Wee Herman and the entire Rose Family from Schitts Creek. There were other great ones too but those really stuck with me. He was watching us almost obsessively the entire time we were there and seemed annoyed when I asked to see something that was in the case. After taking a look, I decided against purchasing the item that I was looking at, as the ring was too small for me. I thanked him for getting it out of the case and he accused me of stealing. It is important to note that he required me to come to the front of the store to try them on, which is understandable. However, he did not ask the white women who wished to look at earrings only mere minutes before me. I calmly explained to him that I had not and emptied my pockets onto the counter and told him he was welcome to look through my small purse. He insisted that I stole one of the rings even after I politely showed him everything inside my purse. No sort of an apology was given and I promptly left, as racist establishments do not deserve my business. I would highly recommend to avoid this place if you are a minority, unless you want to be accused of stealing!
