I love this company! Am finally posting a review after a number of projects I've had Olectric do. Got several quotes before settling on them and liked that Rick came out and took the time to listen to what I needed done. He was dependable and was efficient in getting back to me with a quote . . . and believe me, I had a LOOOOONG list of things I needed help with. So the day comes for the work to be done and two vehicles pull up, right on time. Darnell, Ty, Dale and Justin took care of everything, were professional, and cleaned up. But wait . . . there's MORE!!! Some of my light fixtures hadn't arrived so I told them they'd have to come back. The guys were packed up and getting ready to leave for the day when UPS dropped off 8 fans and lights. They unpacked and got right back to work and finished everything. I'm sure they wished I could have gotten my act together more, but they didn't show it and were great! But wait . . . there's MORE!!! So they let me know there was a broken truss in the attic. This was still covered under warranty by our builder so thanks for letting me know that, Olectric! But wait . . . there's MORE!!! So I had to call on something over a weekend and left Rick a message to please not worry and that it could wait until Monday. But still, got a call from them to help me figure things out. So after about 5 jobs out here, our house is finally done. Each time that Darnell and his crew were out here, they were punctual, efficient and took care of everything. Also, one of the crew, Dale, has a good eye for measuring your light fixtures. My double sconces and double chandeliers were hung perfectly and symmetrically. I highly recommend Olectric. They are fair, professional, clean, and don't keep you waiting. read more

Showed up earlier than scheduled which was good as I had another appointment within a tight time frame. Both workers wore masks during project. Job took longer than expected, nevertheless honored the original price that was quoted. read more

He came the same day I called. He fixed only what I needed fixed. Fair price. Very pleasant guy. Didn't feel in any way taken for a ride

I was frustrated with the lack of overhead lighting in my tract home (one of the sneaky ways they make tract homes cheap) and decided to shop around for an electrician to install a light box and run wire to the back of a switched outlet. I checked around for pricing and found quotes to be pretty similar, so I went with Olectric based mostly upon reviews and the fact that Olectric responded the fastest to a request for a quote (I called, the owner answered immediately). I scheduled the work to be done just a couple days out. When the day of the appointment arrived, two electricians arrived to the job exactly on time and were courteous and professional. The job didn't take much time at all and the workers cleaned up after themselves and very neatly replaced the pieces of drywall they removed which made my job of patching the couple holes left as a very easy task (patching drywall is not within their scope of work). I would not hesitate to call up Olectric again for any of my future needs and would recommend them highly to anyone who needs an electrician for renovations or emergencies. They have the work force available to get to your job quickly for a fair price. read more

Olectric - So happy with my new light fixture! - Electricians Near Me - Reno, Nevada

Had a power outage, but was told they were booked for 2 weeks solid. Then Rick called me back and said he might be able to stop by on his way home. He did and was able to fix everything quickly and didn't charge an outrageous fee. Really good experience! read more

I would highly recommend Olectric Electricians. Despite treacherous road conditions, Justin and Dale showed to complete the job. I was impressed that they showed. I was even more impressed with the job they completed. I had two ceiling fans that needed to be assembled and hung. They completed the job in just over an hour and without need to look at the fan assembly directions :) They did an outstanding job. I will definitely use them again and will refer them to friends and family who need electrical work done. Oh, one last bonus, Olectric undercut the bid of two other companies - one by $450 and the other by $100. Reliable, fast, fair, courteous, experienced and professional - what more could you ask for?!?!?! read more

We were converting our electric stove to gas and the night before it was to be changed we realized the electric was going to have to be changed. I asked for a quote the morning I needed it via Yelp and in about 30 min I got a quote and they could be at my house at 10am! The price and time were what I needed so we told them yes please come out! Rick came out changed the wiring in record time. He gave me a quote on putting power in our island which we will be doing soon. I would recommend this company to everyone. Thanks again Rick you saved the day!! read more

HIRE OLECTRIC! I had Rick come out to my parents place for a free estimate. He recommended a solution to their problem that did not cost anything. What company does that?? I will call Rick with any electrical issues in the future and you should, too! read more

I had a small job (dead outlet and breaker wouldn't reset) but it was for a dryer and i didn't want to mess with it myself. I tried getting an electrician out from several companies but most wouldn't respond via Yelp. These guys though were quick to respond, very reasonably priced, and fixed my problem quickly. I'll be using them again. read more

I live in a mobile home, and woke up in the middle of the night to find one of my electrical outlets was warm to the touch. I spent the rest of the night sleepless. I called a lot of electricians in the morning; no one was able to help me because it was a busy time of the year for them. Finally (and thankfully!) I found Olectric, and gave them a call. Rick was super nice and helpful *and got some help out to me in under one and a half hours because I was really cold and worried.* Dale and his partner had the part replaced in half an hour for a very reasonable cost. They were nice, friendly, efficient and professional. They were just awesome! I will have them do any future work that is necessary, and am glad I found them! read more

Awesome service very professional and very fair with the cost of the work. I would definitely recommend that you call them.

Olectric did a camera system for my employer's business. Not only was it quality equipment and service, but they even came back several times to fix what we would mess up. Very reliable company!! read more

Olectric came out on time, worked efficiently, and got two fan/light combos installed for a very fair price. They had to run wiring through the attic and punch through two rooms to get them installed. They even cleaned up their mess and put the beds back. Thanks Olectric! read more

I went on yelp looking for an electrician to help me with installing a couple flood lights. I requested a quote and Rick got back to me within minutes. This was a Saturday so I really thought I was completely out of luck. My bad for waiting till the last minute to get this done. I kid you not. I guess I hit the right timing, but within the hour Rick was over at my house installing my lights. He was gone before the next company called or responded to my quote request. This guy was friendly, honest and did an excellent job. Seriously Thank you Rick for a great job and completing this so quickly. I can't guarantee they will always be this quick, so just keep that in mind. They have fair pricing and I would hire them in a heartbeat again. They are going on my "Go to Electricians" lists moving forward. When asked for a recommendation, this is who I'll refer them to. HANDS DOWN THE BEST EXPERIENCE. Note: Olectric worked on my house here in Reno, NV. read more

Someone came in the same day we needed our outlet fixed and had a pretty good price. The job was done in about 20 minutes so overall it was a great experience. read more

One breaker would not reset in my main panel. I called for an estimate and sent photos of the breaker and the panel to Rick. He said he could stop by and give me an estimate. He removed the front of the panel and the breaker reset and was holding fine. Rick said that three minutes would normally be $150.00, but we could call it even for $50.00! read more

Rick got my work scheduled quickly and his team showed on time or early. Communication was excellent when weather caused some work to be postponed. I tried to get a few other electricians to quote the work I needed done. It was like pulling teeth. Rick got back to me immediately and provided a very reasonable quote. Overall, excellent. I have a few ongoing projects that I am going to keep using Olectric for going forward. read more

Reliable, Highly Qualified, Dependable & Dedicated... Rick not only catered to my home electrical needs, but he did it on off hours, which is something I would have never expected a company to do. I was, for lack of a better term, a "Damsel in Distress" with a serious outlet situation that could have damaged my home. Thank you for your service and for taking the time to be sure me and my family were safe! I would recommend "Olectric" to anyone and everyone. read more

Dale did a fantastic job of installing a wall outlet so we could hang a TV. Arrived early and the price was reasonable. I was glad to get an appointment when I needed it - I'm a very happy customer! Thanks! read more

On time and under quote price! Doesn't get much better than that! I had a broken front porch fixture. Electrician was on time (7 am) and light was fixed in under 20 minutes. Price was very reasonable too! read more

We chose Olectric to do repair work for us after reading other reviews on Yelp. We had lost electricity in a few rooms of our home, but no breaker was tripped. We called Olectric and within a few hours, Dale was here to save the day. He found the problem quickly and had it repaired in less than an hour. The price for the repair was fair, and actually less than we feared it would be. Dale did a great job and we highly recommend Olectric. Very quick response and fair repair rate. We will contact them again if we ever have electrical issues in the future. Thank you for making this a good experience. read more

Quick professional and reasonable. Wanted my ceiling fans installed. The two person team came in and was very professional. Pleased with the work and when I need more electric work done I will be calling them first. read more

I explained my situation and he was able to send someone out right away. His price was fair and they came back the following day and knocked it out for me. Now my shop is cool and I can not thank him enough. Thanks to his crew were cool again. read more

I can't say enough good things about this company. I'd just bought an older house in midtown that had years of DIY patched wiring. They came thought and brought it all up to snuff, helped troubleshoot and figure out how to accommodate new remodeling. Special shout out to Dale who was courteous, smart , and hard working to get the job done! They have my business from now on! read more

My upstairs smoke alarm came on and wouldn't stop, at about 0530. Even waiting until 0700 to start trying to get help, all I got anywhere was voice mail. The smoke alarm is on a very high ceiling and even standing on a ladder I couldn't get to it to in order to disable it. I called Olectric and they had an emergency number to call, which I did, and got Rick Olivas. He asked me to text him my address and he would see if there was anyone in my area who could get there. In only a few minutes he texted me back and said he would stop and buy a smoke alarm and come by himself. He arrived promptly and it was clear he had planned a day off. He had his daughter with him, and apologized for arriving in shorts and a t-shirt. All I cared about was getting the smoke alarm stopped and replaced, which he did. read more

Dale and Justin were fast, friendly, and efficient. Olectric is priced reasonably and they did such a nice job! They installed our new ceiling fan and it looks great and it works by switch or remote. We also asked them to mount a neon sign on a wall without an outlet. They drilled a couple holes and added electric plates, feeding the cord through the wall. It looks finished and I do not have to look at a long ugly black cord. Thank you Dale and Justin! read more

After attempting several times & with much frustration to fix our problem we decided we had to call a REAL electrician. Called Olectric due to all the great reviews on Yelp. Got a call back within minutes & believe it was owner (Rick). Explained our problem & he said he thought he could get a guy over right away due to a cancellation.. Got a call from Dale ,said he was on his way,& he fixed the problem in a Jiffy.. Highly recommend Dale & this company.. Fair price, quick service, & will definitely use these guys again if the need arises. read more

I came to you because of the Yelp reviews. I was skeptical even though the reviews were good. Now, here's my story: from Rick who set the appointment to Darnell and Ty who did the work - I cannot say enough good about these guys. They took a rats nest problem that had the potential of being a real electrical issue (which is why I called them), and corrected it in short order. They could have taken me to the cleaners, but they fixed the problem in less than an hour. Darnell and Ty, as a team, did the trouble shooting and corrected the problem in short order. These guys are tops and I would recommend them to anyone who needs electrical service. Great job guys, and thank you for your professionalism and honesty. read more

Ultimate professionals!! Great service and knowledgeable! Gave great advise.

Rick with Olectric is professional and went above and beyond to help figure out what was going on. All of our business was conducted over the phone, he was very good at communicating what was going on and what needed to be done. He recommended a few solutions that gave us options of how much we would spend. Would definitely recommend and will use again when we find ourselves in need of a good, honest electrician. read more
