Highly recommend this salon. I have been in the health profession for many years and am very particular about sterilization techniques..I am confident to go here. I have to add an update. I broke a nail and contacted Allure. They got back to me very quickly and fit me in. Ashley did a fabulous job repairing my nail! She was very gentle and careful and precise in her work. They did an amazing job, but after pushing back my cuticles and filing them, my cuticles were still there so I asked them to cut them off. This extra step counted as a manicure so it was an extra $12 charge? Which, okay fine.. but it just added to the cost of everything. For a gel refill (+2 nail fixes since they popped off from my first appt), plus design, plus covid PPE costs, & tip, it came up to almost $150! I don't understand how people can keep getting their nails done with these prices. I was okay paying for it since I needed PERFECT nails for my wedding - and I am BEYOND happy with the outcome, but the price is keeping me from going back unless for a special occasion. (The first time I went for a full set of gel nails & 1 colour with sparkle on top came up to $90 with tip).. so almost double the price if I went to a basic nail salon. You do get what you pay for, but again, not sure how people can keep up with these prices. I would still definitely recommend going to Allure Nail Bar. All the staff are friendly, clean up after each client, and know how to execute your nail look 100%.

She sighed at me and looked around in annoyance and rudeness when I asked if I could take a peek to see if the nails are the same length before she started painted them. She had the guts to tell me that they were the same length without even comparing them. I put them side by side and said look, the ones from the right hand are much longer. She then proceeded to start filing to fix them a little better. Then, I asked if she could let me know when she would fix the corners because they were too square (so sharp they could cut). If I remember correctly, she sighed and said "let me finish my job"...and it just went downhill from there. It was clear that she was exhausted from her day of work, before she even start with me, and just wanted to get it over with. She didn't even clean my nails with the cuticle pusher or the clipper and proceeded to put the fake nail and was hurrying to slap the colour on top. On my ring finger's nail, she tried to cut the frozen cuticle AFTER she applied the polish and although it scratched the side, she just put the top coat on and asked me to cure it in the machine. I couldn't believe she didn't even attempt to fix her mistake. When I noticed how uninterested she was (as I would ask how her day went and she wouldn't reply, and I would thank her on multiple occasions and make remarks on how pretty they look when in fact they looked awful, she would still not reply). On top of it all, what bothered me the most is how crooked the nails were in the end, and yet, she couldn't have cared less. When I asked her to fix it politely (i asked if she could and if she couldn't, it was totally okay), she filed here and there and stopped. At that point I was too sad and decided to take the nail file and do it myself. I paid $75 + I gave her a $4 tip just because I felt like it's the right thing to do, but inside I feel very saddened by this experience. I've never been this mistreated in a nail salon and I've been to MANY. I've seen nail technicians who have done a bad job but NEVER did I have to take the nail file and do it myself and she just got up, took her stuff and left. Needless to say, I'm very disappointed because I was looking forward to paint them for a long time. I hope she realizes how rude she was and how unfortunate it is for her because the team seemed fun and nice. It was her who simply didn't care.

The prices are average for the services provided, I typically pay about 60 with tip for a full bio gel set, sometimes I spring for a fancy design and only get charged a bit more. I almost never make appointments (not saying people should do this), but they always take me regardless. The people are sweet and treat you like a long time friend. The BEST thing about this salon though, is the insanely large selection of colours and unique polishes. Every time I see someone with a unique colour, they always say it's from here. I would highly recommend this place if you're looking for somewhere new to try!

Both times I've done walk-ins, they've been able to handle me right away and without some of the issues I've had at other places. They've also been great about booking appointments, and it isn't hard to book if you're not fussy about which manicurist you get. It's clean, and doesn't have that horrible smell that many nail salons do. It's not fancy, but it's well maintained, and they have very fair prices. It's also not overly busy and somewhat quiet, which is SO nice. I used to go to Top Queen down on Lawrence, but the service was so horrible, the place so loud, and the smell was SO bad that I couldn't do it anymore - Kimmy's was literally a breath of fresh air. I've had their shellacs last nearly FOUR WEEKS without chipping, which is pretty unreal. My last one had a few small issues (practically nothing) a week after getting it, but I was in with a friend, and the manicurist who was helping my friend noticed and got one of the other women there to touch it up free of charge. It really is a lovely salon. Not fancy, but if you're looking for cheap, good service, they are worth it.

Not only did I have a tiring work day, but at 5:45pm I searched online and came across Dazzle. I called to find out if there was a sliver of chance they could take me in such short notice. A lady named Ann picked up the phone and her friendly voice said yes I could come in for 6:15pm. I went and to my surprise, it was so pretty inside! My nail technician was Kyle and o-m-g he is sent from nail heaven! very patient and gentle. I had my existing gel removed and received a new full set of gel nails. Nail shape is probably the most important thing and he did a flawless job executing my request for "pointy roundish" ...haha... Normally I get so sleepy and tired during a 1.5 hr nail appt, but this place was so different. I watched Shark Tank on their TV and Ann sat near my nail table the entire time and we laughed and chatted about all things Shark Tank. She was SUPER nice! I just want to say that this place exceeded my expectations as a first time customer and I'd highly recommend it. I guess my quiet tears and blood soaked tissues that they used to wrap around me were only worth "10% off". I'll be filing a complaint to the government.
