We had an amazing stay! The STAFF! Is what makes this place amazing! The true definition of southern hospitality! And the view and location can't be beat! Now, my son, did have an experience with the ghosts here. So I don't think we will be going back based on that! But I would highly recommend to anyone who wants to feel like you're staying in the heart of Savannah to stay here. The only complaint I would say was the rooms were not very well cleaned. The bed area especially was a little off putting. But I don't want to discredit the staff or the experience of the hotel for this. read more

A nice hotel situated away from the real busyness of Savannah but walkable to everything. All rooms are suites with a large living room, kitchenette and bedroom. Looks like a small apartment. The top floor suites have the best views. Not sure what the basement suite view. Three levels of rooms. A nice wine gathering from 5:30-7pm. Four choices of wine - two white and two reds. After a long trip into Savannah, we arrived at Olde Harbour Inn and were instantly put at ease by Brandon at the front desk. He didn't just check us in--he welcomed us like old friends. Friendly, warm, and genuinely helpful, Brandon set the tone for what turned out to be a fantastic stay. Someone give that man a raise. The location couldn't have been better. You're right on the river and walking distance from everything, but once inside, the hotel is calm and quiet with tons of character. Our suite was *huge*. I'm talking unexpectedly large, with a separate sitting area and a kitchenette that made it feel like a mini apartment. One of the highlights was the daily happy hour in their beautiful lobby lounge. It felt more like a relaxed social event than a hotel freebie--another thoughtful touch that made the whole experience feel personal and elevated. What a great stay! Had the large chocolate lab in tow which limits us. I'm a hilton guy and usually stay at one of the corporate places with points. However, after reading reviews, I decided to take a chance and try this place on our way back to Florida. What a great surprise!. First, it started with Brian at the front desk. His energy and positive welcoming was infectious. Then, they had a great accommodations with a two story room on the 4th floor. Traveling with my wife and 2 daughters, they were surprised since they are used to my corporate rooms. Also had a chilled bottle of wine waiting for us in the room. The hors d'oeuvres and wine at 5:30 in the lobby was also a great treat to hold us over until dinner. Brian recommended Vic's for dinner which did not disappoint. I forgot to tell them, but the girls discovered the Klondike bars in the freezer upon our return which was fantastic. Whoever is training their staff on customer service gets 5 stars as well. Everyone we interacted with had a big smile and was very welcoming. Even the ladies cleaning the rooms yelled down at us from upstairs as we were leaving thanking us for staying and wished us safe travels. Wow. Other businesses can learn from this in how you treat customers. Just awesome. Overall, we only passed through for one night, but decided to plan our trip next time to stay a few days. We stayed two nights in The Constellation suite and had a great experience! The location was absolutely prime, basically right on River Street. Parking was included and conveniently right next to the entrance. Every staff member we interacted with was friendly and welcoming, from helping us bring our luggage to the room, to delivering complimentary ice cream treats and little note cards with the daily weather forecast. The suite itself was massive and felt like an entire apartment. We did hear that the hotel was haunted by a ghost named Hank, but we slept peacefully and had zero disturbances. The walls were a little thin, but ear plugs were provided, so the noise wasn't an issue. Our room also had a view of the river, so we could watch the boats passing by. Had a horrible experience. We tried to change our planned visit because of the pending heavy rain and storms and risk of floods and likely Hurricane or Tropical storm. The management would rather put their guests in harms way then accommodate a more than reasonable request. They are obviously hurting and desperate for money. Loved our stay at the Olde Harbour Inn. We loved the size of the suite and the fact that we could see the Savannah River from the bedroom window and the lobby. Staff is super friendly and very helpful. Great location for a quiet stay away from the hustle and bustle of downtown area. We were able to walk down River Street and also to get picked up for our Trolley Tour right behind the hotel. Loved the wine and cheese reception each evening and the Klondike bars in our freezer in our room. Even though it is on the edge of the historic district we were still able to walk to Broughton Street and to other locations in the center of town. We would definitely stay again and will be telling our friends and family about it. read more

Whether you're bringing your fur friend with you or not, this boutique hotel is amazing! We booked two rooms, one dog friendly and one balcony suite. Both amazing. I will always stay here when I'm Savannah. The staff are always courteous from the moment we get there. Since the last time we stayed here two years ago, they have upgraded the bathrooms and they look fabulous! For a building that was built in the 1800s they have kept a nice touch to render its history. The wood floors still got a little squeak to them and that's the stuff I dig! Arrival was awesome! The staff was very friendly and the check in process was quick. We ordered a bottle of wine which was waiting on us in our room. I love a glass of wine as I'm unpacking. The room was very spacious. We loved the view and all the room. The walls are very thin but it doesn't take long to realize this and most of our neighbors and us realized this quickly and used our inside voices. There were three rooms beside each other. We were in room 205 which was the middle one between two others. On the third night new neighbors arrived at about 2am to the room beside us. They did not use their inside voices. There was a lot of yelling, not angry yelling but definitely a lot louder than normal conversation. I'm not a light sleeper and after two hours of this I called the front desk. They did an amazing job of handling this. They went to the room and asked them to be quieter so we were able to get back to sleep. When we dine out for dinner I can never finish all my food so I usually eat it for breakfast the next morning. Our microwave didn't work so I went to the lobby and let them know so they heated my food for me. Cleanliness needs much improvement especially during COVID. The first thing I noticed was the two inches of dust and dirt under the bed. Not that I make a habit of looking under beds but my dog's ball rolled under and I had to get it out. The other thing I noticed was broken glass in the bathroom behind the toilet. I loved the historic hotel and though the ear buds provided for the noise was a nice touch. This review would have more stars if the room had been cleaned and the microwave would have worked. The staff was very friendly. read more

There was a horrible musty smell throughout the entire suite! But the worst was on the day of our departure we went to the front desk and arranged for an 11:30 checkout instead of 11:00. But later we were horrified by the experience of having a staff member walk in on us at 10:40 -while we were indisposed and with no explanation or apology they left and shut the door behind them. (We had the do not disturb sign hanging on the door) When checking out I told the front desk what happened and he didn't even apologize he just simply said," oh that was probably miss Linda checking on her check out rooms" I was very dissatisfied and disappointed and will most likely not return Treat the mold or whatever is causing the musty smell in room 301 and train your employees to knock before entering and to respect your customers privacy when they have the do not disturb sign on the door!!! read more

We stayed here over Thanksgiving weekend. We loved our room, it was so spacious! We brought my sister's dogs and they had a welcome gift bag for the dogs! Everyone was so nice and welcoming! Every night they have wine and snacks, coffee and free water and soda all day long. My only complaint is the walls were very thin, we heard our neighbor's tv and they're talking frequently. The other thing you should note is the hotel is not friendly for disabilities or people who can't walk up stairs. read more

Needed a dog-friendly hotel for one night as we traveled through Savannah. Directions to the hotel were perfect (there's a video). We arrived in the pouring rain and the attendant Kevin was right outside waiting; escorted us inside for check-in, carried our bags (in the rain) upstairs to our room and gave us a run-down of all the hotel perks. Kevin and the other check-in staff were super friendly, very helpful, answered our questions about where to go and what to do around town. They had a super cute goody bag for the dog filled with practical items that we began using right away. They also came in while we were at dinner and left ice cream bars in the freezer for the kids. Beautiful Bed and Breakfast. Right off of River Street. We stayed for the weekend and only had to pay $14 total for parking. The building itself is very beautiful. Inside has a rustic feel. I like that you get hot breakfast in the mornings. Everyone raved about the grits. I got eggs, bacon and sausage. They even had biscuits. In the afternoon, you get free wine and snacks like chocolate, mini chicken salads as well as other items. Staff was very friendly and welcoming. The two men that helped us were so sweet. The girl that worked at breakfast time was also so sweet and helpful! We had a beautiful room. Fully furnished. Bathroom was small though. It was one of the few places that had a mirror. The kitchen was outdated but I didn't really care. They also deliver you ice cream for you for free! My only complaint with the room is that since the building used to be a wearhouse, the walls are VERY THIN! We were on the very bottom floor and I can hear the people above us talk. I could even hear a man sneeze. I heard several times a cell phone alarm go off ugh. I even heard a tv that stayed on all night. That part was horrible. I think next time I would suggest to go on the very top floor. Even though the walls are very thin and a huge flaw, I would probably come back. The location is awesome and the staff is just so nice. I have mixed feelings it was a cute historical hotel, and the people were very nice. No luggage service at this hotel, but they offer bottled water, and soft drinks. As well as a happy hour at 5:30-7:00pm. It is in nice location. However, it needed to be cleaned better, and it is in need of a bit updating. The carpet in our room was in need of replacing, and the rooms were not well dusted. (I did ask for the one vent in the bathroom to be cleaned and the next day it was) . If I could do 3 1/2 stars that would be my opinion for our stay. read more

We absolutely LOVED our stay!! The rooms were clean, well maintained and very well decorated. The staff greeted us as soon as we pulled up, helped with luggage, check in. Offered us cold drinks and made sure we were happy. My husband's wallet fell out of his pocket while we were drinking coffee and chatting with staff our first morning there. The housekeeper found it, and it was returned to us intact!!! We did get a visit our first night from a friendly spirit. And the next morning I chatted with him and captured photo evidence of him sitting on the couch. This Inn is a must stay!!!! We will be back soon!!! read more

Just got back from a great stay at the Olde Harbor Inn for a long Thanksgiving weekend with my mom. Olde Harbor Inn wasn't our first choice when we were booking, but there weren't many options in the busy holiday season, so we took a chance with a place we had not stayed before and ended up pleasantly surprised! -The Pros and Cons- Pros: -All of the staff was beyond friendly and helpful. Whether it was helping with our luggage, booking dinner reservations and tours for us (which no concierge has ever done for me), or just the friendly servers at breakfast, everyone had a smile and the warmest attitude. Especially over a holiday weekend, I could not believe how patient, helpful and just nice everyone was. Rachel at the front desk was especially helpful. -Rooms were very clean with daily housekeeping service. The bathroom was a bit small, but we had a full kitchen including a full-sized fridge, coffee maker and dishwasher, so that made up for lack of restroom space. Decor wasn't my taste but was well done and made everything look fresh. -Parking was easy and located next to the hotel. I don't like being forced to valet my car to a remote lot where I can't keep an eye on it, so it was nice that they have space to park, even if it is at a small cost ($20/day). -Location was fantastic! We were nearby just about everything we wanted to see in the historic district and could walk to restaurants, shops and things to do very easily. Cons: -Due to the location and age of the hotel, this place is not even close to soundproof, which is the only reason why I took down a star. Located right on the Riverwalk, you will definitely hear some noise from the partiers below. I could probably live with that if I couldn't also hear everything my upstairs and next door neighbors were also saying and doing. To be fair - the Olde Harbor Inn does their part to help with this by providing some very effective earplugs and a bedside sound machine. Overall - this is a great, historic location (as long as you don't mind a little noise) with excellent staff. The quintessential Savannah experience! read more

I called before booking to confirm Olde Harbor Inn is pet friendly and the level of noise to be expected at night as we're traveling with our toddler and wanted quiet. The lady I spoke to confirmed quiet and pet friendly. As soon as I booked I received my confirmation email and noticed the request to call in if coming with a pet. So I called and was told there's a $50 pet deposit. At this point I was annoyed because booking thru their site there was no mention of a fee. (Westin, across the river, has none at a much lower rate) We arrive and are warmly greeted and checked in by staff. Upon entering the large room in the basement of the building you immediately notice the water stains all over the ceilings and the insane amount of dust everywhere. The floors were dirty with caked on crud. I wouldn't let my son take a bath because after taking a white towel to wipe it down it turned black. Peeling paint and limescale buildup on the shower head, I hesitated taking even a shower myself. Our bedroom was nicely appointed but again, dust everywhere. When I was looking for a plug I noticed an extension cord wrapped around the headboard. Behind it was so much dirt and dust including remnant M&M's from a previous guest. The noise at night was that of cars driving by our window above River Street blasting their music. Thankfully it died down around 10pm that we noticed. Unfortunately, not a place we will want to revisit, especially for $300+/night. Overpriced for what it was. read more

I'll be back..... Get ready HANK!! I have no clue if this place is haunted or not. But. It did keep me up all night for two nights in a row from all the ghost stories I read in the room's guestbook. I am a wuss. The staff here is southern friendly. Everyone from the doorman to the front desk lady were wonderful and welcoming. I came with a big group, and they remembered what we did each day and suggested new spots to check out each morning after the continental breakfast. The best two parts... the ice cream sammies that magically appear in your freezer when you come home after a long night of drinking mint juleps and eating pralines. Yummers. And. Where do I start?!?!? So which was better, the Inn or the Awesome staff with great attention to every detail? I'm going with a tie for first place. The Inn had so much character and beauty. It was such a comfy and well-appointed setting. The rooms and grounds were beautiful. It was a great balance of historical and modern. Staff anticipated every need. As soon as we drove up, Dom was popping over to help us get parked and hauled a lot of very heavy luggage up a pretty high flight of stairs, and grab me some ice for a much needed cocktail, without missing a beat. Erica was always present with a kind word and beautiful smile. Happy Hour, each night, with wine and cheese, plus bruschetta on night was a nice wind down. Sharika, always quick with coffee and breakfast each morning. And last, but not least, SPOILER ALERT!!!!Each night, Dom or Keith could be counted on to bring a Klondike Bar and the next day's weather report. We really have loved coming to Savannah around Christmas. In the past it's been a fairly quiet time, but those days appear over. The place is quite busy, which is great for the town, and with that I have no problem. The hotel is right on River Street, although the entrance is off Bay. Our suite was nice, and the staff accommodating; especially Kevin, Martin and Steve who, as a native and has some great stories. The hotel lacks a bar, restaurant, pool or any amenity found in higher end establishments It's much more a B and B than hotel. Our main complaint is with housekeeping, or lack there of. Having stayed in everything from Days Inn to Ritz Carlton, I have never encountered maid service this bad. It's truly disappointing that a place this nice is so poorly managed. We actually had to call down for toilet paper because our inept housekeeper couldn't be bothered to even look in the bathroom. For $300 a night, one can do much better. Three years ago we stayed at The Marshall House on Broughton, and had a great experience. Both properties are owned by the same company, and yet are worlds apart. It has not ruined our trip, but it did very little to make us want to return. What a pity. Another minus is the pet friendly policy where every idiot with a dog feels compelled to take their animal with them on vacation so they can annoy others. I will never stay anywhere that allows anything but true service dogs. The women in the next room brought their yapping mutt and they left the thing in the room all day. How selfish is that. Savannah, sorry to report is turning into another theme park in a host of ways; none very welcome in my opinion. The history is there, but the tank tops and flip flops are becoming so prevalent in many southern cities that the charm is vanishing. The homeless, or as we used to say, hobos or bums are an unwelcome addition in any town, and here is no exception. Seems time to find another town that can take the place of this once great one for our occasional holiday trip. read more

We really enjoyed this place. Our room ended up being a one bedroom condo with a full living room, bathroom and bedroom. Very neat old industrial building turned into a very nice little hotel. Could be a bed and breakfast except they only offer breakfast for an extra fee per person in the form of a small buffet. Parking cost you $15 per day. There is a great place for breakfast just down the street call Two Eggs. The location of this place is perfect to see old Savannah. Highly recommend this place. read more

Love staying here. This was our second stay at the Inn. It's a beautiful large living room, kitchen, bathroom and bedroom. The colors are peaceful and relaxing with the decor. The offer wine and cheese socials every night and bring ice creme to the room every night at 7pm, if you aren't in the room they leave it in the freezer. Best place to stay by far!!! The staff at the front desk and helping us check in were beyond friendly, they assisted us with parking our car and getting our bags to the room. The location is awesome , you can walk to all the shops, restaurants and bars in the area which we loved! Reasons for four stars instead of five: there were long black hairs all over the bathroom, it didn't feel very clean. Came into town for my bachelorette weekend and could not have been more impressed with the staff's hospitable nature. Several of us work in hospitality and we were constantly blown away by their attitudes and attention to stellar service. True southern hospitality. Special shout outs to Dominic and Kevin who went above and beyond from check-in to check-out to ensure we were always taken care of, including bringing the wine & cheese reception to us, and running to pick up Benne wafers for one of the ladies. The rooms were spacious, tidy, and had updated amenities. Some fixtures did need minor repairs, but otherwise we were thrilled with our stay and would recommend the renovated condos to anyone coming to Savannah. This was my one millionth visit to Savannah (ok maybe an exaggeration but there have been many) I have traveled with a man friend, and a coworker, and a rowdy pack of Bachelorette partiers..but never with my beloved doggy, Waylon..none of the hotels I have stayed at before were pet friendly so I had to branch out a bit..and I'm so so glad I found this place..it's location is FAB..the suite was amazing..like..i want to live there, and they were oh so sweet to my tiny sidekick..now let me talk about the staff..I had interactions with Martin, Erica, and Ian..they were all so friendly, professional, and Welcoming! ! Ian walked with me to my car to bring me back to the correct parking place, showed me to my suite and explained everything along our little tour..I feel like a shit because in my excitement I didn't tip him..there's going to be a card on its way to him because he definitely made me feel at home..now people, when u travel with a pooch..it's sometimes difficult..they gave him a welcome gift!! He got treats and a water dish and some potty bags and an adorable tag for his collar..these touches make someone like me come back..and it didn't stop there..they do turn down with ice cream treats yall..i was a bit late checking out because I may or may not have been a little hungover..and they were even sweet about my 30 minute delay in getting my life together..I walked to get some breakfast, and found my car burglarized when I returned..shit happens, totally not any fault of theirs..a member of the staff came and waited with me for the police, and made sure I was ok..I can not think of one thing for them to improve upon..totally knocked it out of the park for me..thank you for everything, I will be back!!! read more
