Kyle worked through it methodically right in front of me: tried an impact/hammer method, then a glue trick, and when those didn't grip he moved to carefully drilling them out. He explained what he was doing and why every step of the way, which I really appreciated. After consulting with my ChatGP "buddy\advisor" specific screws were crucial to successful install. I purchased them separately from Amazon. Steve didn't like the head tapering. He asked permission to use his own screws. Upon my affirmation, he proceeded to his belt sander to make custom length modifications on his own screws.
