They recently moved to 370 Main Street N and the new location is 3X the size and AMAZING! They buy clothing from the public to stock their store so inventory is always changing. They're fair and make sure to select the best items for their racks. They buy casual clothing/everyday wear for teens and twenty year olds however I always see various age demographics shopping in there! You bring in your items and they sort through them in usually 20 minutes but can be longer depending on how busy they are. They select what they can sell and it gets priced 50-70% below original retail price, and then offer you 30-40% of that price upfront in cash, which is pretty fair for items you don't want or are going to donate anyway. They aren't a store to resell and make a huge profit, just get cash for clothes you don't love anymore but are still in good condition. They put on their sales floor what they Purchase so inventory all depends on what people are selling. Some days they're low on certain stock (like size 8-10 shoes) and the next time you go they have a ton! So best to check back often. They don't clean items on site but advertise that everything brought in has to be clean/freshly laundered. I've found most items to be clean and in good condition, sometimes items get damaged on the sales floor but when pointed out to staff they take them off the floor right away. Some of the reviews below are misleading and inaccurate all stores have policies, even thrift stores. I've always found them to be very accommodating and respectful. It's a loft-like space with lots of natural light and really well decorated. One thing that set it apart immediately, is it doesn't have that thrift store smell. They're true to their word that they're only selecting good quality items. Sure, some of the items are perhaps a bit plain, but you don't have to take too long to find a few things you'll like. It's certainly not the case of searching for a diamond in the rough. I imagine woman will like the place even more since about 80% of the floor space is for them. There were several shoppers there and they seemed to have no issue picking out great stuff too. Also, prices are GREAT! Anyone who's 'vintage' shopped in places like Kensington Market will know that things can still have relatively higher prices. My items were incredibly inexpensive, including a Banana Republic shirt which showed virtually no signs of wear for $10. I found out at the counter that this is actually a franchise as part of a fairly large chain (which I hadn't previously heard of). Regardless, they're a very unique and welcome edition to the city.

When we asked the desk about the buy 1 get 1 have price deals. The desk told us something different than the floor people. At times I asked if this was a promotional deal and they said only the ones with the sign. This was incorrect as we purchased singles of some items and they told us to grab another one if you want the promotional deal. So inventory on the floor was not organized properly into promotional material. The Cost: The items were fairly priced for the quality of merchandise. Refund Policy: I was concerned about the hooded zipped sweaters my daughter was getting as the zippers were very flimsy. I asked the desk what their return policy was because I was concerned with the zippers. They said full refund with original receipt within two weeks. Exchange or store credit if returned in same condition after the two weeks but the time frame was for that was wishy washy. My wife returned the zippered sweaters the next day with original tags in A+ condition and only received a store credit. So based on this it seems that the employees in the store do not know their products very well and their refund policy. Great place if you know what you are getting and are 100% sure that you are satisfied with your decision as their is no refund only only exchange if you change your mind. And the exchange policy is wishy washy so do not know if you can actually exchange the items after two weeks. I would be careful with anything with zippers - Jackets or sweaters etc.. Because if this breaks I do not believe they will take it back for an exchange based on the stores refund policy and wishy washy time-frame to exchange items. So overall the employees have little knowledge of their products or refund policies and I would only go there if you knew 100% what you are getting as their refund policies have become store credit or exchange only in the firs two weeks.

I was helped by a cheerful gentleman that told me about the sale in the first place when I first walked into the store. He also helped me with a fitting room since these are locked, and finally with checking out. There were actually a lot of employees at checkout but it seemed like there were two seasoned employees training two new ones. The gentleman that helped me was really holding down the fort for everyone and was very friendly and polite to boot!

It's almost like the company likes creating disposable clothes where you are expected to buy article of clothing, wear it a few times, and then donate it. My friend and I were at Heartland Town Centre last weekend. We were at Old Navy and decided to pop into H&M next store. I did like some cute tops while I was there, such as a tank top with cute lemons, a shirt that pointed out that it was Saturday, and a lemon purse accessory. I didn't by anything. If I were dying to get something, it would have been the lemon purse accessory. It was something like $4 and was cute. Luckily, my willpower had kicked in. They started out primarily with monochromatic themes like Club Monaco but created pieces with unbelievably gorgeous pastels. After popularity struck it's been paired with Versace, Madonna & very high paid models for runway shows. Contrary to popular belief , the quality isn't the best but when you have brand power, it really does not matter if the stitching is only going to last you 2 night of sit down dinners. I really prefer this location to the mall H&M stores. 4 reasons 1) you can find 2 seasons worth of stuff here. Excellent for those of you who enjoy dressing themselves to the beat of your drum rather than choosing out of what is 'in'. 2) most of the cute items that are in the current weeks shipment will be on sale here 3) very few sales people and big location = shopping at your own pace 4) loads of size availability Tip: if you make a visit in the afternoon (pick me up at lunch hour?) the line up is non existent, which is never the case for the mall H&M's.
