They have a live DJ, and the atmosphere is welcoming. It is easy to find... just follow the crowd and the sound of music. It's a small market, but there are a good number of vendors offering food items, clothing, jewelry, plants, mushrooms, and art, among other things. I decided to buy two coloring books (for a neice) from two separate young and black artists. The parking is decent - there is a grassy lot as well as street parking, all free and first come, first serve. Next time, I may have to come ready to eat so I can sample food from the BBQ truck.

I chose the Volcano Roll from Satori (lunch special-$12.99) as well as the Yumfinity Bao and Egg Rolls. Everything that I ordered was clearly made fresh. The roll was delicious! The Bao lacked enough filling for the filling to bun ratio, so I would not order again. The Egg Rolls were such a unique flavor and came with 4 which was a good sized portion. I had some difficulty with the online order so I ordered from the iPads at each stall. Satori sent a text when my order was ready and Yumfinity brought my order to my table. I think that the food was good, but a little pricey for lunch time. I would like to see more lunch time combos.

A grilled cheese and side of Mac and cheese was ordered at the BBQ spot for my grandson, and I opted for a chicken tawook platter with hummus and rice from Beirut Bites. The 2 chicken skewers were well flavored and the hummus was fantastic, but the pita slices and rice were average. The customer service was excellent. The pasta peeps very much enjoyed their creations and the grilled cheese was enjoyed. Unfortunately, little man couldn't eat the Mac and cheese because it was flavored with peppers and had some kick. For an adult, it was tasty. All in all, this was a great spot for lunch. We filled our bellies and departed with leftovers.

The bag policy permits only clear bags, except for diaper bags and bags for medical items. There is a maximum of 2 minors per paid adult allowed. All minors 17 and under have to be accompanied by a parent/legal guardian 21+. There were guided parking and ample parking spaces when we arrived. Check points were set up for bag checks, metal detectors and of course ticket collection. The staff members working the bag check and the exit gate were courteous and polite. The Fairgrounds was not crowded so it was easy to walk about and not bump into other people. There was law enforcement presence inside and outside the Fairgrounds.

The 4-H exhibits were also really nice to walk through and gave them a chance to see livestock and learn a bit about how much work goes into raising the animals. There were plenty of midway games that kept them entertained, and they had a blast trying to win prizes. One thing that really surprised me was the $20 per person helicopter rides over the fairgrounds. We almost did it and I kind of regret not taking the chance--hopefully they bring that back next year. Overall a really fun family outing with lots for younger kids to see and do.
