It is what it is…read more I'm not a big shopping guy and even less a TJ Maxx guy. But, from time-to-time, I am dragged in there. So, if you've ever been to a TJ Maxx, you'll understand where I'm coming from. They place is always a disaster with a moderate rhyme-or-reason to where things are. Sure, you can find the luggage section, or the shoe aisles, or clothes, etc. But, you might be at the shoe rack and come across a decent pair of dress shoes, right next to a pair of slippers, right next to those measuring cups for the kitchen that you suddenly had to have. Now, I'm not sure if that's how TJ Maxx gets you or if that's just lazy customers. Either way, it's genius. Anyone who says that more than 75% of the time the go into a TJ Maxx for something specific but ultimately walk out with 1 to 9 items that they didn't come in for would be lying. On top of that, they're walking out with those 1 to 9 other items and in many cases, not what they originally came in for. These are hard facts. It's a brilliant marketing scheme. Being completely bewildered in an aisle that seemed to make very little sense to me, I asked on of the workers who was stocking the shelves how she knew where to even put things. I had been browsing through this aisle for a few minutes and noticed her taking things off of her stock cart and putting them on shelves, in between other completely related items. She said that in some cases they have a general idea where things go and just find a space. That's a perfect way to describe many of the aisles of TJ Maxx. Again - this is either insane or genius. I'm guessing it's the latter. Would I go back? I don't know. Probably. I would never think of going there. I'll never say, "hey, I need to run to TJ Maxx". But thinking about it, I should. Because they honestly seem to have everything you could ever think of. This isn't a bad review. Like TJ Maxx, it's a very hard to define review. If you like browsing, look no further. You could spend hours here. Think of it as an indoor scavenger hunt. Pro Tip: If you're looking for something in particular and don't find it in the area you locate that has similar items....say shoes... keep looking in other aisles around that general area or quarter of that part of the store. You may still find what you're looking for among things that are completely unrelated. This too, is a fact. I have literally had this experience myself. Think of it as a real life Highlights magazine picture search. I can almost guarantee if you look closely between the items in the aisle that has hard candies, holiday gnomes, assorted Keurig K-cups and socks, there is a real good chance you'll find that meat thermometer between the toddler size tap shoes and gourmet peanut brittle.

If you are ever in the market for a neat lamp, her husband makes them and they are amazing. All kinds of unique pieces turned into lamps. This is my go-to spot if I need a gift for my mom, sister etc or just something for myself :) She also does events with local Hamilton businesses. I had to drive back an hour away to get my credit. Make sure to check your receipt. I was told they have been having problems with the wrong prices in the computer.

I was blown away for starters by the customer service from multiple employees. One found me a shoe in a size that wasn't even on the floor, another brought a different size to the dressing room, and a third suggested a better way to complete my transaction! Now keep in mind the stuff here is brand name and higher end than, say, a Marshalls, but I still found a ton of good deals. I saw higher end brands like Tory Burch, Birkenstock, Democracy, and more. I got a $200 free people dress for $35! It's now definitely worth checking out and could be dangerous... I got so much stuff!

Staff was made to stand at the entrance to welcome the customers super sweet. So for people who have been to NR it's definitely a couple of notches above TJ Max but the model is similar. So there is section for male, female, kids clothing and shoes. They also have a home section along with jewelry, make up, perfume, sunglasses and handbags. Lots for everyone. This particular one has lots of parking and very centrally located. Prices are fair to the brands they offer. Oh I forgot they also have some snacks right near the check out. I booked my appointment for my family photos almost 2 weeks ahead of time at 10 am for 11/25. I received a call from the store early last week to confirm my appointment. Never once was it mentioned that they had double booked themselves for the 10 am spot. I have a 5 month old baby that we were scheduling this shoot around his nap as well as a 13 year old. We had to wait 10 mins outside the store in the freezing rain while trying to call the studio to be let in, once let in because the doors where locked. we were informed that our appointment is pushed because they had over booked and only had one person in the studio. It took an hour for another employee to arrive and start our session. This employee REEKED of weed smoke and did not introduce herself was dry and didn't seem to care about the wants from my family for this session. The whole time she was acting like my children should know exactly where to stand and got short with me when I said her direction where to stand wasn't clear. She didn't help distract or even try to get my 5 month old to look at the camera. I personally had to keep running back and forth from each picture to try and get him to look even the ones I was apart of. There was no apology for our wait or for the lack of attention to my families shoot. 2 hours later only 3 photos turned out decent enough ( my son cried the whole time because we were going into his nap time). And we paid 172 dollars plus change for 3 photos ?! As someone who spent her whole childhood coming to J.C. Penney's for family photos and always looked forward to those day I t's disappointing to say my children couldn't relate and that my family will NEVER be returning to this location or any location for J.C. Penney's portraits again! I also called customer service to file a complaint was given a ticket number and when I asked when I should expect a call back the representative didn't even know if they will call me back!
