The greeter was very rude. She rolled her eyes at me when I entered and when I exited for no reason.

Now the store is not very affordable at all.. You're hard pressed to find bargains and the ones you do find are typically extremely expensive brands that are discounted... but not to the point of the kind of affordability that Winners markets itself as. Prices are similar to or higher than department store prices. I only recommend shopping here if you really know what you want and have compared the prices to elsewhere.

Some times you go in, and it is like hitting the jackpot. You find everything and then some. Other times you will go in, and nothing, zero, nada. You just find nothing that you want, or maybe it is at the end of the feeding frenzy for all the shoppers before you. All picked over! Just wait for a new shipment to come in. Now, my experience at all Winners is the staff is found only, at the cash registers and dressing rooms. There are not staff walking up asking , may I help you. This is definitely a self-serve kind of place. Also, you can spend a lot of time in here. I have given many hours to perfect the shopping experience of Winners. Also ,not all stores carry the same merchandise. Happy Shopping!

Almost every guy I know loves Mark's Work Warehouse. I don't know what it is, but I must admit,…read morethat I enjoy the store myself as well. The Halifax location is a good sized store and is well laid out, with women's fashions on one side and men's on the other. The selection is great, and the prices are quite reasonable. The staff are friendly and are always eager to help. Over the past few months they've had many savings specials. Recently they had a Ladies night where you save 20% off everything in the store, and they frequently have monthly specials where you save $10 when you spend $50 (upon presentation of a coupon). Overall, I've been quite pleased with this store and will continue to shop there in the future for myself and for others.

Although, they have expanded to include more women's wear, there is still nothing there for me. There is no real variety, and most items are very similar. I'm not a fan of the women's footwear either. Ugly. But, this could all be just my personal taste, right? So 3 stars? If I where I dude.. (hmm Beyonce's song just popped into my head) If I were a dude, I think I would thoroughly enjoy Mark's. There is tonns of clothing; outerwear, sports wear, business wear. Whatever. A man can find whatever he is looking for in here. If you work in a business setting: hello, dress shirts, pants, jackets. If your a mechanic; hello overalls, coveralls, steal toe boots. And there is lots, not a little to choose from, lots! Name you're profession, there will be something there. MWW is not cheap, but it's not too expensive. It's a middle-of-the-road type of store, and you can find some deals, that's for sure. Most of the time I have been there with the bf, with a purchase he receives some kind of discount off for his next visit--hmmm, that makes sense as to why we go quite often.... So all-in-all, not for me. But good for him

It can be a little on the high end for some, but the quality is very good here. We went when they had a fabulous sale on, buy one get the other for a dollar. You just cannot beat that! I didn't have super high expectations based on the redundancy of the commercials. Cheeseball Quotes such as: "You're going to like the way you look" and "When everyone's looking at her, she'll be looking at you." - were playing in my head and as a result my expectations were low. As it turned out, Moores was actually a pretty decent shopping experience at this location. I realize that selling a suit to a guy who comes in with his girlfriend might be tough for some but our tailor/saleslady was great! She measured Mark and then sent us to an area of the store with all of the suites in his size. Once we had picked a few out she reappeared with more helpful hints on tailoring. We even left with shoes when all was said and done! Overall, a great experience! Perhaps this is uniform to tailoring in general but why the extra charges, Moores? If a suit comes without a hem then I don't think you ought to charge someone to finish sewing it. At Moores the cost of basic hemming is $10 and in Mark's case there was an extra cost to extend the sleeves as well... seemed odd to me but other than that, this was a great suit shopping experience! Painless, even for M.

I have a love/hate relationship with Gap. I find the clothes ridiculously overpriced for the…read morequality. But the thing is, a lot of their clothes fit me just right. That's rare - I have a hard time with that. So for investment pieces, the high prices are worth it. Otherwise, I stay away. But Gap Factory Store bridges the... uh... gap. Not everything's a great deal here, but sometimes I hit the jackpot. If you give them your email address, they send out notices of sales and give you coupons. Last night? I hit up their "up to 70% off" sale, armed with an additional 15% off my entire purchase coupon. While only one item was actually 70% off, between the sale and the coupon, I actually saved quite a bit more than I paid. I do have a major pet peeve - you have to be really careful the item you're buying is actually discounted as listed. Picture this. Bayers Lake, early 2012. I desperately needed an emerald green cardigan (it may have had something to do with a Lego party, but I'd been looking for one anyway). I found one I loved on a tabled filled with identical cardigans of varying colours with a 50% off sign that specified only "cardigans". Tried it on and fell even deeper in love. I was on a shopper's high as I approached the cash register, cardigan in hand. It came up full price. I smiled and explained there must be some mistake - the sign says it is 50% off. The sales clerk sighed and basically shut me down. No discount. I showed her the table and the sign. Apparently last season's colours were 50% off, but green was one of the new colours. So only 2 of the 8 or so colours of cardigans on the table were actually on sale. This sort of thing has happened a couple times since. If not for this, I would gladly go with a 4 or 5 star rating. Also, I think some of the clothes are made specifically for the Factory stores, and some are slightly off season clothes that have just come off the shelves at Gap. I've seen overlap occasionally, with the same item in both stores at the same time. You'll find a fairly large array of women's, men's, activewear, and children's clothing. Bottom line: lots of great deals to be had, but make sure you don't get burned.

This outlet isn't too bad, I mean... it's a shopping outlet. What do you expect? Deals. That's…read moreright. you expect deals, and that's what they got. I don't shop here often, but thought I would pop in since I was close by recently. I like to buy my jeans at the Gap, and normally, regular Gap has great sales so there's no need to really outlet shop. They don't sell the same kinds of jeans, but whatever... again, it's a deal. I wouldn't recommend going in here and paying the 'regular' price of stuff.. since clearly it's an outlet, and that sweater is going to go on crazy sale in 15 minutes. Needless to say, you can find some great deals in here! It's worth a stop in, if 1.You like the Gap, and 2. You're not looking for something specifically other than a great deal.
