I was the first person in the door today and was looking to buy a suit for a wedding coming up next week. The sales associates greeted me tepidly as I entered and I told them what I needed and when I needed it. I was wearing blue jeans, and henly, and my chacos. I was also carrying around 20k in my wallet in credit I could've used there. I knew exactly what I needed and the color/pattern I needed it in. A midnight blue suit. Nothing outrageous. The guy who helped me took one measurement, showed me two jackets above a $400 price point, and said, "That's all we have that's going to fit you. So are we doing this or what?" I wear a 46R in a suit jacket. I am hardly big or tall. He seemed annoyed that I was buying a suit and not as part of a group and even went as far as to say how odd it was that I was buying this suit on my own. "Shouldn't the groom do that?" I ended up at Kohl's. Put a suit together myself from their inventory and got out under $250. Long story short: Save your money and your dignity and shop elsewhere.

I went to the store and was told there was no order there by that number. I was directed to call the corporate number. I did so, and the person I spoke with re-ordered my items. I received another email saying they were ready to be picked up. I went back to the store and was told again that there was no order there by that number. A salesperson went to look for one of the items on the sales floor and told me I could have it for the original sale price as though I was being offered a great deal. The store item wasn't the one I originally ordered. Another salesperson rather rudely said the store had to return my items because the store couldn't accept them as a shipment. No one at the store had contacted me about this before sending them back. A salesperson said I'd have to re-order them online and then return to the store for a price adjustment for the original prices of the items. One item is no longer available. I was on my own as the salespersons made no further suggestions or offers. I won't be returning to Kohl's any time in the future.

My wife likes to shop the clearence racks. There are overpriced name brands at 50-80% off in many clearence racks. The same is true for the men's department, except there are only a few such racks. I was looking for some flannel shirts on clearence. The racks have size markings seperating the various sizes. The problem is the merchandise is not sorted accordingly. There is every size from small to 3X in the same size catagory. And everything from t-shirts to pants to sweatshirts on the same rack. I spent 20 minutes looking for a flannel shirt in my size before giving up in frustration. Even Goodwill sorts the sizes and items accordingly. If I do return, it will be for a specific item not necessarily on clearence.

The clothes are organized but there isn't a lot of signage/it's hard to see so it can be a little difficult to get oriented when you are looking for something. The primary room is packed with stuff so it's a tight fit if you're shopping when they're busy (especially if you're wearing a winter coat). If you sell clothing to them, you can either get cash or save it to use as credit - I believe you get 10% more if you choose in-store credit.

They tried to purchase three of my Hollister items for $13 and told me that it was two items while they were hiding one with tags on it underneath two other items. This must be something they do; only purchase a few of someone's very nice items, to make it appear like there is a supply and demand issue, so you are more likely to take their measly payment. Anyway, first they tried to tell me that the clothing was outdated, but they actually took one item that was exactly the same as the other item in the basket, but one had tags and they took that on, and the other one didn't. But neither one had been worn, the one had just been washed one time. Lastly, so it's like they try to degrade you at the outset, and then they left my items over on their shelf and said they only wanted to purchase two items. However, I could see that there was another item, the item that still had tags below the other two items on the shelf. And I told them that there was three items there and they tried to gaslight me and tell me that there was only two items even after they could clearly see that I could see that there were three items. I told them I wanted my items back. And then they rolled their eyes and threw my items back on my basket. This is already like the third time something like this has happened, and this most recent time was the worst because they flat out lied to me and tried to steal my namebrand clothing after pretending that my clothing was trash. I was impressed by the selection of vintage denim. I'm obsessed with denim but I stayed away from purchasing any today. However a beautiful woven straw & leather bag caught my attention. I knew it was mine to have once I checked out the inside, it's lined in a canvas or I believe linen material. Made in Italy, everything was right about it! Even the price for all the bargain hunters! Check out the shop, the owner is lovely! She's only been open since April, support a local business in downtown Green Bay!!!
