1-Star Review: Old Navy's Outdated & Customer-Hostile Pricing Policy I am beyond disappointed with Old Navy's archaic and frankly pathetic pricing and price-adjustment policies. In 2025, it is ridiculous that a major retailer still refuses to honor their own online prices in-store unless the item is also purchased online. What kind of logic is that? I shopped in-store on Black Friday, assuming I was getting the best deal of the year -- only to find out on Cyber Monday that nearly every item I bought was significantly cheaper online. I could have saved at least 25% more had I purchased online instead of in-store. When I called customer service, I was told they "can't help" and that I had to physically go back to the store for a price adjustment. Who does this in 2025? Fine. I went to the store. Then the cashier tells me I need to bring all the items back just so they can process a return and make me re-buy everything at the online price. How is this remotely customer-friendly? How is this efficient? Why does a customer need to jump through hoops because the company refuses to align in-store and online pricing? Lesson learned: NEVER shop in Old Navy stores. Their in-store prices are almost always higher, and their policies make it incredibly difficult to get a price adjustment. If you must shop at Old Navy, buy online only -- pick up in store if you must. Online purchases offer the best pricing and customer service actually helps you over the phone. Retailers with such outdated, non-customer-centered policies have no one to blame but themselves when they struggle or go out of business. In a world where Amazon, Nordstrom, Macy's, Temu, and Shein are making shopping easier and more convenient, Old Navy is stuck in the past. I only come here when I have to. It is so dirty. Please just vacuum it is sooo gross. How do the employees stand to work here? At least I can grab a white button down when I need it. I don't want them to close. It is unfortunately necessary. read more

Went in for a return and the casher was friendly. She assisted my return in a timely manner. The wait for the line went pretty fast and it was easy even if you have kiddos with you. read more

The location is great but I've noticed that somehow they're always out of sizes 8-16... i'm fine with buying stuff online if they're out of stock but... How am I supposed to know what size I might need . Not to mention their dressing rooms are pretty gross. read more

I don't go to Old Navy in Fairview too often but I still have expectations as a consumer. To sell stuff without any customer service, you need to be great at setting up your promos and clearance. I needed some khaki chinos. I found a table with chinos low and tops on top. There was a sign that said $12 for the tops. The chinos were colorized but that was about it. There were some with clearance stickers and some without. I found a pair that fit and took them to the counter to check the price because there was only the regular price tag on it. It rang up for $17.99. She asked if I had any coupons. I said "SWEET". There was an in-store/online promo for 20% off. She claimed because the pants were on clearance, it didn't apply. Seriously? I got home and pulled up the same chinos and added the "SWEET" discount and wouldn't you know, it discounted the item 20%! As a manager, if you expect your employees to do their job, you should inspect the work. And all the employees need to know what promotions are running. I may never go back to this particular store unless I return those chinos. read more

I stop this Old Navy because it is the closest one too me. The store is a pretty good size as it is a stand alone building and not in a strip center. I don't know if this store has a high turnover or the schedule is just not done well at the times I am in here. I have noticed that there are never enough workers to help people on the floor or at the register. I think this is the one place I have been where no one has EVER asked if I needed help with anything. I will give them credit, when I went yesterday every single cash register was being used, mainly because the line, which still took almost 30 min to get through. Be prepared though, normally there are barely any cashiers working. The store is also pretty messy and just feels over stocked and cramped everywhere you walk. I went in yesterday to exchange 2 winter jackets that I had purchase online and just needed the same ones in a different size. I didn't have my receipt but since it was an even exchange out I figured that would be no big deal, as they both still had tags and one was still in the plastic package. After waiting in line for forever the cashier tells me I can't do an even exchange due to it being an online order. So she has to ring everything up and then gets to a screen that it isn't working. She had to call a manager who tells her that it doesn't count as an online order because I don't have a receipt it voids the online part. The manager was able to step in and in 5 minutes I was out the door. This isn't my normal place to shop so for me it isn't a deal breaker but after reading so many of the reviews everyone seems to feel the same way. At least I know this going into the location. Hopefully I will be better at ordering sizes online!!!! read more

Decent selection, a handful of dressing rooms and I've never had a problem finding someone to help me. They always seem to have sales, but many times the prices are already inflated so the sale isn't really that great a deal. I would say this isn't a store you rush in and out of, this is a store you need to have some time to hunt in. Things aren't grouped by item (ie pants, shorts, short sleeve shorts, etc) they are more grouped by outfit so you need some time. read more

Ok. It's Old Navy. You only shop here if there is a sale and you have a coupon. The clothes are just ok, nothing spectacular, but usually cheap enough to justify buying. Here is my big problem though with this location: It's absolutely disgusting. I'm not talking about the inadequate wait times to check out (a line of three people and one cashier on a Saturday?) or the fact that the store looks like a Ross after Christmas. I'm talking literal: there was dust, trash, debris EVERYWHERE. Next time you go in just look near the register at that display in between the line between you and the clerk: there was dirt build up and that wasn't just from a day. I doubt that store has ever been cleaned. The refrigerator that has sodas? Look on top of it. It's CAKED in dust and the fridge has mold. Don't bother asking if the store manager can come look: she's not there ever apparently. Just be sure what you buy doesn't touch the ground or shelves, otherwise it'll need a good washing! read more

Not sure why this place doesn't have more stars because every time I've been in here, the staff has always been super nice and the way the store is set up, it's pretty easy to find what I'm looking for. I see about people complaining about having to wait in line but I don't have this problem since I don't decide to get in line when everyone else does . I will be coming back since every time I've been here I've scored some pretty sweet deals, tbh I kind of had forgotten about old navy and just recently started going again due to the fact that I had gotten some gift cards from my baby shower. read more

I am absolutely disgusted by their customer service. I honestly think the 8 employees that were working were mimes. NONE of them spoke, greeted or even asked if I needed assistance. One young lady was literally at the front door as. was walking in, I said hi and didn't even get a smile back or hi. ok. Another young lady was in my path way I said excuse me... she didn't even move or look at me. ok. I even spotted the manager. we made eye contact several times didn't even say hello. I continued to shop and not let them ruin my day, as I shopped I continued to make eye contact and didn't even get a hello. i tried on clothes and didn't even buy a single thing because I was just too done with they way their employees act. The young lady running the dressing room didn't even say anything. I will not be returning I don't care if it's a 75% or more sale. Not worth my time. Old Navy train your staff! I was literally just at this location asking if they or another location such as Plano carried Plus Sizes and what was said was no we don't carry plus sizes at any of our locations. I'd been to The Plano location in the past awhile back and wanted to confirm as i remember purchasing pants that were in fact plus size. So, after hearing this I still called Plano to double check because obviously sales associates fabricate things they do not know quite often and what do I find out... it was a blatant lie as I thought. If she didn't know she should've went to find out or called the Plano location like I did but to say No we don't carry it at all the locations is off putting and tells me that I won't be shopping with the Fairview location in the future. I'd rather you find out over lie. Very disappointed. read more

WOW!! Shop where you're appreciated! That statement hits home for me now. If there was a negative star they would most definitely get it. I went to purchase pants for work, and of course, after not finding them, ventured off to purchase other items. I went to the front of the store where a worker was folding clothes. I don't know if she was a manager or not, but she had a walkie and black hair. She hurriedly ran over to the area where I was, literally jumped, which happened to be by the front door, as if I was going to run out with a freaking shirt in hand. My stomach dropped like "did I just experience that?" After I found the item, I fell in love with it. I noticed more workers around me, and NONE of them asked if they could assist, just had their walkie talkies in hand. The guy at the register asked, "Would you like to use your $5 discount?" I said sure. I haven't shopped at Old Navy in forever, so hey, why not? He then asks for an I.D. to verify that this discount belongs to me. The more I thought about it afterwards, the more I realized I was racially profiled. Shame on all of you, and now it's time social media does it justice. read more

Everytime my dude and I come here, we always come out with a lot of bags. Old Navy is a favorite store of ours due to its casual and fun style, and the fact that Old Navy usually has a good sale going on. Sometimes you can score a 30% off entire purchase deal, but the best one is the 50% off entire purchase deal during Black Friday. I like this Old Navy location because there is plenty of items to offer. I recently went to the Plano location and they did not much items there (styles and sizes), while this location at Fairview has a lot. The store is pretty large, with two entrances: one coming from the main area of the shopping center that opens up to the kids section, and the other side that is outside of the main shopping center area that opens up to the main mens/womens section, with a large parking lot and easy access to Stacy Road. Also, staff here are pretty cool, friendly and accommodating. Overall, this is a good store for clothing! read more

Other then Old Navy has always been known for reasonable pricing, which has obviously gone up, I have nothing nice to say about this particular location. It was the worst Old Navy location I've Ever been in! You couldn't identify the sales that where advertised, since every rack seemed to be just thrown together. The employees where rude and didn't seem to care about the mess, nonetheless, the interest in helping customers. It's not like the store was busy!! When I asked about the sale item I was looking for, their response was "the racks are clearly marked, and we have several throughout the store!" Seriously, have you looked at the racks today? Makes me wonder, since you all seemed to be grouped together in a corner, away from site of the messy store. Management needs to take a hard look at their staff, and figure out the best way to utilize them and teach and encourage them to give the customer service they where hire to do! I understand retail is a dirty job, I've worked it for 13 yrs! However, I never thought I would be so disappointed in a Old Navy store. This is a first! Let's just hope things change quickly, would like to give this location a second chance, especially since it's very close to where I live. Otherwise, I'm going to Old Navy in Richardson. Considering there weren't a lot of stores to shop at here in Fairview, Old Navy was like 1 in 10 stores. There are two entrances to the store and maybe 7 workers. We weren't greeted nor were we asked if we needed any assistance during our time there. It was Saturday night around 6:30pm. There weren't a lot of people in the store shopping and the store wasn't super organized. The clearance section had one person trying to organize that mess but of course, it's the clearance area and everyone flocks to it. There wasn't an attendant in the fitting rooms so, it was messy. I found some good deals...while I was trying to kill time before a movie. If I didn't have extra time, I probably wouldn't even bother to look around anywhere. read more

The old navy store is nice but the prices did go up. I only shop there for the sandals and some reasonable priced jeans for the winter. The line are a little long since they moved but I guess overall it's worth it if you want it. read more
