Once I finish trying on the first couple dresses she told me to go look for more. The time is 350 and i am told that they close at 4. Right when we picked out all these dresses. So obviously we felt like we needed to leave so we did not try on all the dresses she told us to pic out. Then we go to leave and the door is locked and followed us to the door and locked it again. We also drove an hour and a half which they knew that. I am very disappointed with the way this situation went.

Upon entering for a scheduled appointment for my daughter's prom dress we were greeted with our sales consultant Casey, the immediate impression she exuded was one that she was not looking forward to . My daughter needed a larger size gown for which the consultant took her to the back room showed her where those gowns were and explained the process of picking dresses. Once the consultant received more clients she seemed overwhelmed and distracted. My daughter tried on a number of gowns one in particular that she started with she actually did not like and put away however at the end of the process she wanted to try this again on one more time just to make sure. In trying this dress on one more time she decided that she really liked it and asked if it came in a larger size she then proceeded to ask the owner if the dress came in a larger size once the owner came in and looked at my daughter she looked her up and down turned around and never acknowledged her again nor did she receive an answer as to whether the dress came in a larger size. During this whole visit the entire time we were there I was not impressed one bit. The owner was unwelcoming and seemed very judgmental of thse not fitting the "standard." The Consultants were not friendly nor accommodating. In my honest opinion I would never recommend this location for any young lady especially one that requires a larger size. And aside from needing a larger size I would still not recommend this establishment. I personally felt that we were looked at like we "weren't good enough" to be there. So now I take my daughter who's 13 years old and loves to dress skater/relaxed. I get to live my childhood through her by buying her some cool outfits and shoes. They seem to always have a sale like but 3 things- shorts shirts for $135. The prices are a bit higher than what I usually spend for my daughter but the clothing is good and the brands are even better. They not only have clothing but also have shoes and belts, hats and skateboards. Which my daughter wants next- my daughter wants to customize her own board- which you can do online on their website- and take it in the store to have the stuff put it together. My daughter doesn't know how to skateboard yet, but maybe once she has a board of her own I will take her for lessons- if that's a thing or just take her to a skate park. Overall this store is great. The staff are super helpful and actually spent time with me and my daughter picking g out clothes/ sizes to help us shop.

One was a size 8 and one was a size 9! Not to mention I order size 7 and a half. So I called customer service and they said the fastest option would be to trek all the way to my "nearest" store and do an exhange or return in person. No kidding. I could obviously walk 16 miles to my closest store sooner than I'd get a return label, ship them back and wait for a refund! Thanks customer service lady! Upon arriving at the store, I was immediately greeted by this really nice girl that worked there. I wish I caught her name. She was really helpful. Normally you can only get the price of the shoes back from your order. If you had to pay taxes or shipping, too bad. You won't get it back. However, she saw how upset I was over not being able to get another pair of the same shoes due to them being completely sold out (of course), and got me a 100% full refund. After that she helped me find another pair that was similar and would accommodate my work uniform needs, then gave me a ten dollar discount for my troubles. So kind! Of course I suspected after leaving it was only due to the fact the store was going to lose a sale. Oh well. So, don't order online unless you ship them to your local store for you to pickup (the shipping is free that way), or just go to the store and see what you can find. I know it's Black Friday and we should expect lines but the lines in this store didn't move and were handled poorly. There was a girl trying to have people form one line and be assigned a lame to stand in. Some of the lines didn't move at all, others were moving a great pace. They had a girl scan some orders while we were online. I thought this would speed up the process but it did not. I love the selection but I'll be returning to another location, Everyone has crowds on Black Friday but the way they handled them here just wasn't ok. Also, there were multiple coupon issues. Some lines allowed, some did not. When I questioned my cashier she told me no I couldn't use mine, I asked for the manager and she looked at me like I was nuts. I don't ever think that they really have anything that's overpriced. The people who work there are so friendly. They greet you when you come in and it's not the greets they say hey don't steal. I walked in feeling very much like Captain Caveman and out of place. Seriously, I almost pointed at something and went "Unga Bunga, me want that" Luckily the sales associate Jay took pity on this poor unfortunate soul. She walked me through the shopping process while being helpful, polite, and hilarious. I really can't remember the last time I laughed that much. Praise her, raise her, bask in her glory!!!! Along with Jay, I don't want to forget about Sam. While not my sales associate she was right there helping and going above and beyond. So much so that she was able to advise me on the best place to get a tattoo (booked my trip up to New Hope tomorrow) If these ladies are the example of what Torrid associates are like, I will make it my business to shop there a lot more often in the future.
