Calling all fashionistas! GW's is THE place to go for stylish sustainable fashions. The clothing on…read morethe racks has been carefully curated from the top donations Goodwill has received. You would never know it. You walk into what seems like an upscale consignment boutique, but somehow, everything has low prices. There is not only clothing, but purses, shoes, and jewelry as well. Clothing brands include Banana Republic, Crown and Ivy, Ann Taylor, White House Black Market, Chicos, Limited, Calvin Klein, and BCBG. There were Nine West, Jessica Simpson, and Kenneth Cole shoes that looked barely worn. Sustainable fashion is a way we can shrink our carbon footprint, and with places like GW's, we can do it looking great!

From a lady who loves thrifting I can tell you that there is a big difference between thrifting and…read morewhat is going on here! This is literally picking from the bottom of the barrel. Let me tell you why. Unsorted, all of the items (shoes, clothes, adults, babies and kids) are combined and thrown into bins in the store and patrons pounce on any new dumpings like it is prey and begin tearing through it. Everything is weighed with the exception of the books. The book prices aren't set, or posted so you have no idea how much you're being charged for the books or why. Is the staff making up prices for the books? Who can know one way or another. The receipts aren't itemized in a way that would clarify anything. After looking at all of the other reviews that mentioned a boutique feel and high end purchases I wasn't sure if this was the same place. The address is the same. It's in the Good Will Complex and Opportunity center, but the receipt says "Second Edition." All of those glowing reviews are at least a year ago... and they have made some big changes since then. So I am here to let these Yelp Streets know, things are different now. The personnel in this store seem friendly enough, but with the exception of the book section, this store is a hard pass for me.

(My) selling experience: Not worth it!…read more I cannot speak for the purchasing experience. This selling experience is my own perspective. Definitely feel the sell was not worth it! The staff requested up to 45 minutes to appraise clothing (seemed to be more than other places). The receiving staff member suggested that I leave my bag of clothes and return later....just for me (in my opinion) to be underpaid. In my opinion, the exchange felt a little disorganized and disingenuous. Prior to my return, someone removed the clothes of mine which they chose (not typical in my experience). After two days, I realized which ones were taken. The staff didn't even remember which bag was mine. Quite literally, the staffer asked me, "which bag is yours". They had many unlabeled bags clothing on the floor. I had to identify my own clothes... not the best.

This store in the Charlotte Premium Outlets was not really an outlet, nor was it premium, although the idea of a Jimmy Choo/Hot Topic collaboration would be pretty sweet. This was your run of the mill normal Hot Topic store with an entrance from the outside vs. the inside. The woman working the store was super helpful and directed me to the areas of the store where I might like some items. I inquired about a certain band shirt and they were low in stock, but she looked online to see if they had anything there. They always had a good selection of those little plastic figures from bands and pop culture and anime. Great store as always and excellent service. Don't let they way the employees look and dress scare you. They're all just people like us.

It was clearly labeled by size and there were a couple sections specific to seasons/holidays. They also had a clearance section and a couple sale racks. They do not separate boutique brands out, so you really have to dig. I did see some boutique brands like Kissy Kissy, Cecil and Lou, Janie and Jack, Kate Quinn, Little Sleepies, Tea, etc. mixed in. It all seemed like it was in good shape, although I did see something with a stain and some items that clearly had wash wear. The prices weren't bad, most Old Navy, Carters etc. items ran around $4-$8 with boutique brands being around $15. They also had toys, books and shoes with a big section of brand new Itzy Ritzy items at the register. If we wanted a bag after checking out, we had to pay for it. Although it was less than a dollar, I still found this odd. The service wasn't great. It appeared that only one woman was working and she never welcomed us in or checked on us and there was minimal communication from her during our checkout. No one was out on the floor while we shopped. A good experience!
