After meeting with several contractors who didn't inspire much confidence, Alex stood out immediately--not just for his professionalism, but for his vision and integrity. He provided solid references and even arranged for us to tour past projects and speak directly with homeowners. That transparency sealed the deal. We entrusted them with a major upgrade to our front, back, and side yards, and they delivered beyond anything we imagined. Our expectations were high, but the final result was nothing short of spectacular. Every member of the crew was respectful, hardworking, and clearly took pride in their craft. The transformation of our property is something we're proud to show off--and we do, often! Here are some pictures of our new retirement paradise! Would we do it all over again? Without hesitation: HELL YES.

After being a loyal customer to Turf Plus for several years and happy with their service, I am now…read morevery disappointed in the way that this company operates. Approximately 3 months ago, Turf Plus was aerating my neighbors lawn and hit our fence with their machine. In turn causing damage to our fence that needed repair. I called Turf Plus immediately after it happened, and came to an agreement on the cost of repairs for the fence. Turf Plus shortly after sent us a check for $100 and we repaired our fence, after all accidents happen. Last week I scheduled an appointment with them to service our lawn. Told them what times I would be available and scheduled it for the following Friday. Friday morning, I called and spoke with the receptionist before the technicians left and told her that I needed them to come in the morning instead of before 1 PM or after 4 PM. She told me that it was fine, that she would have the technician call me. The technician called me a half an hour later, to tell me she would be coming to service the lawn between 5-7 PM. I told her that the time would not work, that no one would be home. She then asked me to leave my fence open, so she could still come. I explained it was not possible with our dogs and that we would not be returning soon enough for them to be let back outside. She then stated that I needed to reschedule for the following week, I told her that I couldn't because I will be having a baby. She told me to call the receptionist and see if I could be rescheduled. I called the receptionist and explained the situation to her. She told me she would call me back. Shortly after, I received a text message, not a call back. The message stated, "Hi Mrs. Shepherd this is Dana the manager with Turf Plus. I'm sorry we're unable to please you. Please find another company to service your lawn." I was shocked! They didn't even try to reschedule me! I called the receptionist back, Dana answered the phone. I asked him if he thought is was appropriate to send me a text, he stated that it seemed like I was unhappy. I explained to him the several conversations that I had, had with the other employees earlier, which he was unaware of. That I would have preferred to have been rescheduled, to which he replied that I couldn't the following week. I agreed and told him I was having a baby, but that I wasn't going to be in the hospital for forever. He then stated that they weren't making any money on our business, because he paid us for our fence they had damaged a few months back. I told him, that their technician breaking our fence had nothing to do with me, that we were still continuing to do business with them, and the amount that they paid us was their offer, not mine! Anyway, needless to say, we are no longer doing business with them. Unfortunate that it is poorly managed and due to improper communication between their staff. They have lost a loyal customer, who has referred many people to them.

We contacted several landscaping businesses in St. George area and…read more A-1 was the only one who responded. They trimmed a very large tree that was covering our street sign and stop sign. They also repaired out gravel that let weeds take over our yard. It has been several months since they performed their most compete yard care and no more weeds. They were extremely reasonable in their rate and guaranteed that if any problems occurred to contact them immediately and they would stand behind their work. Again they were the only one who responded to our request for landscaping service (one company did give us a date and time and never showed up or called us). I would highly recommend their service. I was pleased with their design and fair price. More than their actual work I was extremely pleased by their creativity. They also did a fantastic job on the installation of our backyard landscape project. The plant material recommendations and the installation crew were very hard working. They were always punctual, courteous, professional, communicative, and left our property looking absolutely beautiful. We highly recommend this company and we hope to have the opportunity to work with them again. Thanks Chris & crew!

In 2013 Elite Hardscapes did an over $30k paver job in our backyard. Before the project we asked if…read morewe could flip the pavers so the smooth side was up. Chris, the owner, said he hadn't done this before but said he would do his homework. He came back to us and said he could flip them. They were installed that way and sealed. A few months later we had stains all over the pavers that looked terrible from water. We contacted Chris and he said it was a result of the salt from the pool. We knew that was not the case and paid to have a few other professionals come to give us their opinion. They said it was the sealant not the pavers. After a lot of persuasion we finally got Chris to show up with the paver company and the sealant company and they admitted it was the sealant. In addition, when they put the cement caps on the tops of our walls, they rolled paint on these and this paint started pealing and chipping. The other professionals who came said they had never seen such a thing. Chris said he would replace these but said we had to pay for the caps and he would cover the labor. After stripping the sealant and applying it again, we had the same issue. They stripped it again and said this was the last time they would do this and could not guarantee it wouldn't happen again. He tried to get us to just leave it unsealed. He said it could only be guaranteed if the pavers were flipped to the rough side up. He said we would have to pay $15,210 to have this done because we were the ones who chose to have the pavers flipped. He's the professional and had he told us we might have issues, we would never had the pavers installed the way they were. I told him I didn't think I should have to pay a penny but for the sake of just getting this over I said I would split it with him. He had a really hard time with this but said he would if we again paid for the new caps (that replaced the painted ones) and then paid for half the cost of stripping the sealant ($3,800). I agreed again just to get this over with. This was in January and Chris said he could probably start in March. In February we decided we were going to make changes to the pool, which would involve pulling out some of the pavers around the pool. Instead of having the pool company and Elite coordinate schedules I decided to pay the pool company to flip all the pavers and asked Chris to just pay me his portion of what we agreed to. He wouldn't do this and felt I was trying to get him to help pay for the pool work we were doing. After he made a bunch of excuses as to why he wouldn't do this, he offered to pay $3,000 and then have a few pallets of pavers sent to us. In addition, when they were stripping our pavers they chipped up some of our railings, which are now rusting.
