I remember reading about this place on the papers, being Imelda Marcos' favorite steak place. Now…read morethat's something that would spark anybody's intrest, so I tagged my mom along immediately and the rest is history. I have celebrated practically each of my birthdays with family here since (because I celebrate elsewhere with friends; double standards). What really keeps me coming back is their braised, barked whole Angus Rib (they don't serve you the entire thing of course, how I wish), that is definitely tasty all around, but is perfectly unadulterated beef in the center. Yes, It is braised, not grilled, not pan fried, not seared. It is a definitely a different experience for beef lovers, and I come back here every chance I get. Each order, varying in cut, size and part, comes with a serving or creamed corn, English muffin, and my favorite, the Spinach Souffle; I like it so much that I convert the other sidings to spinach (now 3) and order an extra 2 (total, 5). It's not really a souffle per se, more of a minced cheesy gooey spinach siding that I can't really put perfectly into words; It's not a spinach version of Mac n' Cheese, but it is definitely subtly cheesy. Do try the Almond Crusted Duck as your appetizer, we just love it. They have other offerings for fish eaters and the like, but that defeats the purpose of your visit. The best part? You can get a big cut of meat for under P900. That's a steal in today's Manila standards. So do build an appetite before you step into their doors (it doesn't have the most fantastic ambiance, mind you), and enjoy the steak with their famous au jus! Bon appetit! (Please, please order a medium. They will grill the cut if you order one that's well done, and you don't deserve to enjoy steak if you like it well done).
