Bad, just bad...overall...bad. The Sr. Citizen that ended up cutting my hair towards the back of the shop made me regret ever stepping foot in the door. From what I saw a few of the other, non geriatric barbers were killing it but I wasn't fortunate enough to get one of them.... She was shaking as she was cutting me hair!!!!! NEVER AGAIN! Very good service, you need to make an apt, but they are nice and cordial. It is a cash only pace, but they are all really good. Old Line Barbershop is the best in the biz, plain and simple. They even have a championship belt to prove it, as they once again have won Harford Magazine's Best of Harford County award for best barbershop. On a cold but sunny Saturday morning I arrived shortly after 8am to find an already packed waiting area. This is what happens when you want the best. I signed in using their tablet. It allows you to select what service you want and choose a specific barber or first available. I selected a regular haircut and my favorite barber Matt. I was told that I had two people in front of me as well as the person finishing up in the chair. Wait times can vary based on time day or even luck. Today I had to wait for a hour, but have other times where I didn't even have to sit in the waiting area. Matt told me I could head out around town if I wanted and come back since I had signed in. I took him up and went for breakfast. On my return I waited for the second guy to finish up before I took the chair. Old Line is the best because even if for some reason your favorite barber isn't there, anyone of the others could be trusted with your hair. When I took my seat, Matt already knew what I needed done and the conversation started as if it never ended from the last time I was there a few weeks ago. Old Line is very personable and that is something I wanted in a barber shop. After my haircut with the clippers and scissors, Matt edged my lines up with some hot foam and a straight razor. One of the benefits of a barbershop. As I paid, cash only, I admired the Maryland decor and unit patches that adorned the walls. I picked up some new pomade for my hair and received my military discount for the cut. They also offer a discount for police and fire fighters too! Can't wait to go back again! read more

Out of the 6 or 7 barbershops in Bel Air proper, this one is the best, and I've tried them all. After 34 years of having only 2 hairstyles (buzz & combover), this place encouraged me to go out of my comfort zone and try something new and modern. I've been so pleased that I went from getting a haircut about every 2 months, to going to Old Line every 2 weeks. All the barbers are fantastic, but I've developed a rapport with Tim, who does fantastic work and always offers good conversation. Most of the barbers are young in age, and are knowledgeable and skilled at the newest styles. Not to mention, the prices are extremely good for the service provided. $15 for a haircut that is meticulously done is fantastic. Make sure you plan on spending at least an hour at Old Line, because there will probably be a short wait, and your barber will take plenty of time to make sure the job is done right. I called in early to set up and appointment, the guy on the phone was very hard to hear and not pleasant at all. he told me they were booked for the day and set me up with an appointment the next day. I showed up right on time the next day and was met with a very rude employee telling me they were closed. I was set up with an appointment at a time they weren't even open, i seriously needed a haircut and was completely screwed over by their crappy customer service. I'm not even going to try to get another cut, based on what i experienced it would just be a waste of my time. read more

Worst haircut ive ever gotten. If you are thinking about trying to get a current hairstyle for men, dont waste your time here. All mens cuts are the same, extremely short. Showed my barber a picture of what I wanted and he completely over cut it. Guess i'll be wearing a hat for a few weeks. Find a salon, might cost more but at least theyll cut it right. read more

He is very conversational, but more importantly, I always leave with an amazing haircut. They go by appointments, which I find very convenient and cuts down on wait times. Always top notch. I've had my haircut by several different staff members, which I normally don't do. Once I find someone I trust, and I'm comfortable with. But this place is different. These guys and gals really stick together and look out for each other. They don't want anyone leaving unsatisfied and all of them equally take pride in what they do. They are also a very down to earth bunch. If there was one complaint about Old Line, I'd say they can get busy at times. But you can't fault someone for being good at what they do, and I think the crowds speak for themselves. They are the first barbershop in my experience that have a tablet based check in system that's phenomenal. You can check in, and if it's an hour wait. You can leave, run errands, or get lunch without losing your place. I love it. No more sitting for hours wasting your Saturday in the barbershop. Even though it is, worth the wait. read more

I've been a customer here for years. Some of the best haircuts and fair prices. Have had a lot of nice conversation with the mostly younger people there. So when they opened back up for biz with the Covid 19 I was glad. 2+ months with no haircut and I was willing to go there because I figured they'd be on board with all the science and precautions. I was shocked and disappointed at how lax and unsafe they were. Customers allowed to not wear masks, employees walking around without masks, barbers doing haircuts with masks only over their mouths and not their noses. WTF people? This was unfortunately a prime example of how opening back up can be a problem when business don't comply with the science. I'm now self isolating from some of my elderly family members. Thanks for the increased anxiety and complications over a $20 haircut. Never again. Get your Sh!t together before you endanger the public anymore. I was always a cheerleader for this place but no more and never again a customer. I don't support businesses that act like this. read more

The first time I came to this barbershop I had just moved from D.C. and was looking for a new place I could get haircuts from. I can't remember the barber that I got my first cut from but he did a pretty good job. Few months later I went to the plaza location and got my haircut from Alison, who gave me a great haircut! I don't get haircuts too often, I was trying to grow out my hair for a while but it got to the point where it was frustrating me so came back to this location and specially waited to get a cut from Haley, and again a very good haircut. She also recommended a new show for me to watch after knowing my love for Edgar Allen Poe. I can come to this barbershop and can always expect a great experience and a nice cut from them! read more
