Completely butchered my full beard. Went in for a haircut and a beard trim and walked out with an uneven, super shaved down beard. Lines are a mess around my mouth. The left side of the beard is longer than the rest, under my chin is super short and the right side is patchy. I'll have to shave down to stubble to fix this mess. read more

I was in desperate need of a haircut last weekend and I decided to try out Brian Bunce as it had good ratings online. I walked in without an appointment and only waited about 5 minutes to get a haircut. I liked the fact that it was busy here. A dead barbershop on a weekend morning would have worried me a little bit. My barber was very personable and did a good job with my haircut. The cut was only $19, which I feel is a good deal. As long as I'm in the area on business, I plan on making this my barbershop. read more

Brought my friend's sons (age 14) here for a haircut for the first time a couple weeks ago. They were previously going to hair cuttery and I don't think they did a good job there. We made an appt with 2 different barbers at the same time, on a Saturday at 2. They were sitting in the chairs by no later than 2:10. Both of their haircuts looked awesome and the barbers (Larry and I can't remember the other one's name lol) made sure they got the haircuts that they wanted. I have been coming here for years. I've followed them the last three times they moved. I'm done. I have not gotten a good haircut here in over a year. Today Ingot Larry and specifically told him "Keep it long, I just want a trim, just even out the ends" and he cut half my hair off! There goes months of my hair. What in the hell?! Why ask me how I want it if you're going to do what YOU want. It looks rediculous now because it's long on the sides and short on top and in the back. What style is this?? SMH. read more

For a while I was in need for a bip, but not just any bip I needed a bunce bip. I drive by Brian Bunces all the time but just now decided to go through with the bip. I walked in having no idea what to expect but I was surprised with the family friendly environment. The service was also great with very friendly and well trained staff. After the bip it was an awakening for me I felt like a new man, it changed my life. I'm trying SO HARD to like this place. I have been three times. I really think if Brian himself, as the owner of the business read this review, he'd take note. I'm hair-challenged. I can get my head buzzed at Great Clips cheaper and faster. I could also do it myself, but there's something about a neat, clean appearance - even on balding guys - that needs a professional. I'm also old school. The whole reason I go here is for a hot lather, straight razor shave, and a haircut. Having just grown a beard that I keep short, I like to go in for a professional trim. My problem has been that no one there really wants to do it. On three occasions, the person doing my service tried to talk me out of the hot lather and straight razor shave. One told me I shouldn't do it because it would cost me too much. Another said I could get a closer shave if he used the five-blade razor - which, by the way, I have in my shower at home. They didn't want to "just shave my neck and trim my beard". What they REALLY didn't want to do was work. Every time, I've had to SELL them on just freakin' charging me whatever it costs, and do the darn hot lather and shave. On my last visit, just the other day, the guy was lazy. He didn't take me through the entire process - and it is a process - of multiple hot towels, etc. But, I didn't feel like arguing. On one occasion, a female told me she didn't know how to do a straight shave. On the other two, they did, but clearly DID NOT want to do it. What I will say - when they actually did their jobs, they did a fantastic job. I left relaxed - after I finished arguing about paying for what I wanted. Most of them are qualified to do old-school barber work. In the end: If you're listening, Brian, your employees are cheating you out of revenue by trying to get out of doing what the customer wants. If my employees did that to me and I found out about it, I'd find new employees. It's a nice place for a quick haircut ; and the concept is great. Execution is weak. read more

Many times you walk out of a place like this knowing you got a decent haircut but also knowing that you've just spent an hour of your life which could have been spent more productively elsewhere. Today I waited for 5 minutes and received a $16 haircut from a Master Barber named Larry and, I absolutely enjoyed the time I spent with him. We had an interesting conversation and all in all, it was a great experience that added value to my day. Headed back to Colorado in a few days but I encourage you to go here for your next cut. read more

A great shop with fair prices. Haircuts I've gotten here have varied in quality from barber to barber. My favorite is the old school master, Bob. They are CASH ONLY and the onsite ATM is often broken. Definitely an annoying inconvenience for people that don't typically carry cash. Overall great haircuts at a great price. I had gotten a good haircut here back in August from Li. Li was great- efficient, funny, friendly and I left with a real good haircut. He's apparently gone so Jim (back right) cut my hair. Jim was less than efficient but overall haircut was ok. He seemed to misplace numerous tools during haircut. I asked him to take a half an inch off sideburns and trim the rest. He used his comb to show where he'd stop and I said "yeah, that's great". He did first sideburn fine then completely chopped off the other. I mentioned it when I noticed and he said "I didn't hear you say just take a half inch off". I'm pretty sure he did hear me- I give the same directions each time and he showed with his comb how much he'd take off. I am also covered in hair bits on my arms and sleeves- not sure how that happened. I may come back here in the future but will try to avoid Jim. read more

I gotta say that this is one of the best barber shops I've been to in a long time! The haircuts are on point and completed by professional old-school barbers. They finish their cuts with a straight razor shave and always make sure you leave with a great cut. The only thing that I don't like about this shop is that they don't accept credit cards. Just returned from my first visit with my 2-year-old son. He has a head full of hair and has had quite a few haircuts in his short life but this is by far the best yet. Our barber was incredibly patient and kind and did an awesome job putting my son at ease. A little Tom & Jerry on the tv and a short while later we left with a professional cut, lollipop in hand. Bob Butta has been cutting my sons first hair cut. My son isn't easy to deal with at the barber but Bob gets it done. He is a great guy and I love the feel of the shop. I love this place and my barber however his combs are never soaked in the blue stuff and his straight razor is ALWAYS dirty with shaving cream and hair. Tonite i asked him to dip it in the cleanser and he ended up changing the razor completely. It is so important to make sure the tools of your trade are clean!! Every person who has cut his hair has been helpful, patient, and friendly...and let me tell you, it is NOT easy to cut his hair while he squirms around. The shop reminds you of the barber shops of old with the old barber chairs signs etc. All the cuts I saw finished that day were so great that I am sure any barber will do, but Patrick gave me the best fade I have ever had. Not anymore this place is by far the best place in Baltimore county/city.. I have to say I love this place. They get you in fast and actually take their time cutting your hair. You don't feel like you're at a "Hair Cuttery", "Great Clips" or "Sports Clips". You feel like you are at a genuine barber who cares about the product they are creating for you. Also, to finish it off they give you a hot shave on the back of your neck that is divine. Gil is the guy who cuts my hair and I appreciate the time, accuracy and commitment he takes in cutting my hair.
