Stumbled upon this spot while thrift shopping in the area. At first glance this spot looks cool as heck. I saw so many colorful and old/vintage windows and home pieces that could add or enhance your home or add a unique aesthetic to your home. The only thing I wasn't impressed with was the pricing, the lack of cleanliness or upkeep of the store, and the disappointment in this store definitely not being ADA complying for anyone who may have a mobility issue or wheelchair bound. There are so many items tucked away in corners and up against the walls here that it just seems like it would be dangerous and compact to try to walk comfortably. Parking might be a thing as we couldn't see any spots in front that would allow us to park. We had to park down the way (alley) and walked over to get to the store. It's really dusty here and although many things are labeled with the year and the type of wood/metal/glass the pricing just doesn't make any sense. I will say if you are down to explore and really take your time to look around to find a unique piece do it but maybe bring gloves? Everything is old and not in the best condition so be forewarned. read more

This store has a large collection of old doors, far more than one might expect. Whether you have an old or newer home, wood doors can't be compared to steel or fiberglass. The owner Gabriel "Wham" Galindo was on site and had assistants there to help pull merchandise for a closer look. one of the WORST businesses i have ever attempted to shop in. I was not even able to shop at ALL before getting yelled at by the store owners for parking in their area because they believed I was simply parking there with no intention of shopping at their store. They are attached to several other businesses and they were having an event outside that caught my attention. I wanted to stop by EVERY STORE THERE to shop but because i didn't visit them first the rude store owners RUDER wife began yelling at me telling me i had no right to park there since i'm not on the lease? as if i'm not a customer. She kept yelling at me to purchase something or give her 10 dollars for the right to park there. I've never heard of a business that will only offer you parking if you purchase something. They were rude, bitter and lonely. It's no wonder they have absolutely no business, they drive it all away with their terrible attitude. I feel bad for the business owners near them, they have to deal with them daily. It's sad to see because they seem to have great antique finds but they're ugly hearts don't deserve business. I was extremely happy with my experience here. Very friendly folks. I went in with an open mind bc you never know what hidden gem you'll find in a salvage store. They have a TON of stained glass windows of different sizes, quality, and price ranges. The product selection was amazing and well organized for such a small space. I ended up finding 4 adorable pink tiles from the fifties for my Granny Chic guest room. What a nice surprise! When you shop salvage, you sometimes find nothing. Then other times you find something you didn't know you needed. They were $1 a piece. I hit the $200 and under stained glass section, which had a great selection. Got a 22x42 inch piece for 125--very reasonable. I do a fair bit of furniture refinishing and antiquing, if that helps. I'm used to getting wood parts in bad condition. If you want refinished, ready pieces, you won't be happy. However, I think they do refinish if you need it. read more

If you love stain glass windows like me this is definitely your place. Just to let you know I was in town last year and hubby said we can come back another time buy stain glass and drive it home from San Antonio, TX to Portland , ME. Really??? Yes please Not only do they have beautiful stain glass at various prices they have architectural salvaged pieces. We spent 3 hours hers and yes we bought many pieces. Once cleaned I will post those stained glass. Worth the visit! read more

I'm a professional home builder in Dallas-Fort Worth. My customers went down to old is better than new in San Antonio and bought a few antique doors. I then had them build me $6,500 worth of reclaimed interior doors. I was nervous to say the least having never met these people. I gave the exact measurements down to the 16th of an inch. They arranged for shipping of the doors to my door shop in Fort Worth. All the measurements were spot-on. The workmanship was exactly as described and they were on time. My husband and I are new to the antique stores so read this from a new couple shopping for the first time. This store has a lot of items crammed into a small store. Its overwhelming to say the least. Considering this, we thought the prices would be reasonable and the owner would be willing to work on prices. Majority of the items in the store we over priced. Gabriel wasn't going to be open but met us on his lunch hour. The shop is actually storage behind the house. We were pretty excited because we saw the doors we liked online and figured that multiple item purchases would net a better deal. As it turned out the doors were well organized and not all of the size that we needed. One door was exactly what we needed but $450!!! (3-panel with a half lite). While it is entirely possible that we'll find later in our searches that this was reasonable in the grand scheme of things, we can say that similar doors (but stripped and ready to use) were $225 at Architectural Salvage and Stripping, which we'd heard was so expensive! We did find a nice piece of stained glass (geometric, about 20" x 30") for $200. And the light fixtures he was working on we're tempting but I was too disheartened by the door to feel excited. He's worth a call before you go, though, if you're really struggling to find something. read more
