This bar is right by the Waterfront and this provides for a good view of an evening when the sun is…read moregoing down, if it is a nice evening the only place to sit is outside. The inside area is quite tight and the times i visited the bar it was very full. I think due to its hours of business some people use it to begin their night and head off over the bridge to the strip where bars will open into the small hours of the night. The bar staff were all very helpful and when I asked for a particular cocktail they admitted to not know how it was made but were more than happy to be talked through it and make it. For a first attempt it wasn't bad either!! They did have a bit of a problem with glasses the first night I went there as most drinks seemed to be served in, what i deemed to be, the wrong glasses. When I asked on staff member if I could have my drink in a tumbler they were not sure what that was but hey we all live and learn. Every night they have a different live act, I saw a solo act which was very good and a duo which was ok, which played until at least 11/11:30pm. As the bar area is quite small it becomes very loud so you do have to shout to be heard not only when ordering your drinks but if you do want to talk to anybody. They serve Tapas until 11pm which due to the number of people in there I never got to sample but having seen what some people were eating it looked good. Overall I would most definitely go back to this bar as it has a good atmosphere and a really good location. Prices were inline with every other bar in the Waterfront Area. A good bar with friendly staff, good venue, good view and some decent live entertainment.

(Also the toilets aren't miles away upstairs through countless corridors and doors but at sensible ground level!) A good selection of beer on offer including Tuborg, Marsdens, Carlsberg, Ruddles, John Smiths and Guinness. The house wine is a lovely Merlot. There is varied seating throughout the pub, from wooden chairs with tables to nice alcoves. You can eat anywhere but there is a special dining area on the right as you go in, a bit similar to the Wetherspoon at Bridgend. The Curry Club on Thursdays is recommended - prices are much lower than other days of the week and there is a wonderful variety of meals to choose from at all times - great for vegetarians too; there are even choices for vegans (I recommend the chick pea curry with extra poppadoms instead of naan bread). Lovely inexpensive desserts and good coffee as well! We were served by Ben yesterday, who was really nice - but I also spoke to two other members of staff who brought the food and they were friendly and very helpful. We'll definitely eat there again the next time we're in Swansea.

It's quite big, the food is what you'd expect and it has the usual bunch of drinks on sale. One thing I do like is the selection of ale they have, but that's pretty normal to most Wetherspoons. The only way I can really review this place is in respect to other Wetherspoons, this is a charming, nicely laid out pub with good service, good food (For a Wetherspoons) and a nice atmosphere.
