I got tattooed by Dylan and my experience could not have been better. Not only was it a quick experience, but, I barely felt a thing. I wasn't even sure if the needle was in or not. The tattoo came out great! I have many and this is easily one of my favorite and it's one of his personal designs out of his book. He rules. We went out to lunch and randomly decided to get tattoos and this shop was next door. This was our first time getting tattoos and we were all a bit nervous, but as soon as we walked in and they were playing Bob Marley we knew we made the right choice. i had a 12:15 appointment to have my nose repierced after the original jewelry of 30 years came out. i showed up early and filled out the form and they required ID. when i realized i forgot it the woman at the front check in was so sweet and allowed me to take a 12:45 slot while i went home to get ID. i live close so was back earlier than my reschedule and they took me right in. they were so very cool about it too. lou was my piercer. equally sweet and so thorough - he even tried to just push the new jewelry through thinking that my nose may not have healed but no dice. but he tried! his work are was clean and pristine. he was very thorough about aftercare and is just a sweet nice guy. 5 stars for old glory tattoo! read more

Went for a Tattoo at one of the charity events I contacted Matt on instagram and told him I would be in the next day first thing in the morning. Day of I was the first one in I asked for Matt and told him which flash I wanted. He asked color or black and white and I told him whatever you want have fun with it. It turned out great just when I thought I was done he would say I can make that a little better in that spot. The tattoo took maybe an hour and a half and probably would have been done sooner if I had told him specifics but he had fun with it and the tattoo still looks brand new and like a sticker even after several months. He was great that the shop was very friendly. I recently found out that he moved across the county so he is no longer at the shop. Now the search begins again after my previous tattooer moved to VA. read more

Found this place off of yelp to get my daith pierced and I'm beyond happy with the results! The store was super clean and the staff was very welcoming and kind. My piercer, Dylan, did an amazing job! I was pretty nervous when I walked in considering this was my first piercing done with a needle and not at a piercing pagoda but thanks to the calm and cool demeanor of my piercer and the entire place I immediately relaxed and ended up not even feeling the needle go through. Went in for the Friday the 13th special. My buddy got a small diamond tattoo on his arm. Chris did the diamond way better than any of us could have imagined. Not only did he fit the time into his schedule to put an awesome tattoo on my friends arm, but was very helpful in picking the perfect spot around his other tattoos. He was also a really nice guy and was really cool as we were all hanging out while he did it. Everyone else in the shop was extremely friendly and accommodating as well. It was a great experience and definitely plan on going back for more. Very strong recommendation to friends. Literally just left Old Glory 20 minutes ago and immediately felt compelled to write this review. Reasons why I loved it: -I called to ask about availability and printing out my picture- I was pleased to be able to walk in a few hours later (it was, to me, a time sensitive tattoo), and that I was able to email them the picture since I was having printer troubles. -Incredibly professional, kind, and straight-forward on the phone and in person. Cleanliness is also key, and they have that down perfectly. -Really appreciated the honest suggestions for how to go about a tattoo I've been thinking about for over 2 years. -Fun atmosphere (got to listen to stand-up comedy while getting tattooed) where the artists clearly get along. Overall, an amazing experience for one of the most sentimentally important pieces of art I'll ever get. They've gained a customer for life (I'm excited to get my next one in a few months), and I'll refer anyone who will listen in their direction. read more

I walked in here on a whim to get my nose pierced. I was immediately greeted by two friendly employees who told, "absolutely!" The entire process from walking in to walking out probably took about 15 minutes. They were extremely friendly, helpful in answering my questions and the shop was beyond clean. They must have changed their gloves about 3 or 4 times while sterilizing, marking the spot and performing the piercing. Their setup was like being in a doctors office- super clean and sterile. I had a bad experience getting my last tattoo, and the shop owner here made sure to fix that tattoo and that I loved it! The sizing, shading, and corrections he made, it's now exactly the tattoo that I wanted. He also did my arm piece and same deal, made sure I was completely happy every step of the way, perfect sizing, placement, everything, not to mention the design he came up with off my vague ideas was better than I could have hoped. I've gotten four tattoos from this shop's owner, and plan vacations specifically to visit Old Glory in Asbury! I love the art I've gotten from him (and the work I've seen from the other artists is similarly top notch). This shop is highly professional (and a really cool space). The experience of getting tattooed there is always a pleasure. Chris (and every artist at the shop) takes time to really listen to what I want and provide great artistic input. The actual tattoo experience is always a pleasure. The people that work there are friendly and respectful. It's a clean, well-managed shop, staffed by real artists who take great pride in their work. In all my visits to the shop, I've seen them develop work for tons of people: walk-ins, appointments, whatever. They've been respectful, thoughtful, and top-notch every time. It's important to remember: artists generally need some time to produce really stellar work! It's usually wise to make an appointment and do some consulting, if you want a really terrific tattoo. (Though one of my favorite pieces from the owner was fairly spontaneous; they do those, too!) I went in to Old Glory to get my ears pierced and it was an absolutely great experience. The person who pierced my ears I believe was named Johnny, he was super friendly and took the time to make sure that the spots were perfect before piercing, he made me feel comfortable and I really love my new earrings. All the staff was really nice and the shop was really clean, Johnny changed his gloves multiple times during my piercing, between every step, I really appreciated the feeling that everything was nice and clean. All I had to do was give him an idea of what I wanted and he was able to make a unique tattoo out of it based on my tastes. He was super patient with the fact that I really needed to narrow down my idea and was throwing out a million ideas to him. Our artist, Mike, was very cool and his work was awesome. Some shops or artists will make you feel like you're wasting their time if you're getting something small, but Mike wasn't that way at all. I know he wasn't feeling great that night, but he stayed late so he could work on both of us after his last appointment which we really appreciated.
