Great setup for a variety of trap shooting stations. A good sized facility with over 20 fields on more than 100 acres, there are plenty of options to challenge you. Launches are changed regularly, so you can't become complacent either. Relaxed and fr, it makes for a great experience! read more

Really nice people and we felt at home right away. The prices were also very reasonable for everything. We shot a 50 round beginner course and had a great time. There was a nice variety of target presentations and each station had two shooting stands. Only suggestion for improvement is the course we shot only had 1 rabbit. The courses we shot in the past were in much more mountainous terrain so that becomes part of the target presentation more but the terrain isn't under the control of the range. Bottom line was it was a great place and we would love to go back someday. read more

Old Forge is a nice place to shoot, but yesterday I shot their registered fun shoot.......and personally, it was terrible. Firstly, squads were jumping all over the place, clogging up the course everywhere. You would have a squad two squads behind you, the next moment they would be in front of you. This only makes shooting the course a disaster for everyone. We had numerous machines go down, and many breaking targets every other pull. Lastly, in the course of finishing, now there were public shooters shooting the same stations as the registered shooters. THIS SHOULD NEVER HAPPEN IN A REGISTERED SHOOT. In NY, we keep 8-10 stations open just for the public when a shoot is happening. I saw numerous stations around the course open, which could have been just for the public, rather than than have a squad of public shooters on the registered course. The course was very responsive to machine troubles, but with all that going on and 95+ degree heat..........it just was not a fun day for me. They can do better with the number of stations they have. Lastly, can't tell you the number of shooters I saw, (mostly public) on the course shooting with no glasses on. That is an absolute no no, and a ranger or course worker should have told them the rules, if they did not know them. Old Forge is a great course. The targets were fine, they have a great 5 stand, and the people are nice. They just need to do better in what they do. read more

The presentations change monthly with each registered fun shoot, the staff is very well known for that outgoing, fun and professional personalities and it's soooo convenient to get to the course. Shhhhhhh...... so we're among friends here and we all know the code about not ratting out fellow yelpers who need to take a metal health day. There are many things I could choose to do on such a day but as the morning played out I was leaning towards shooting some sh@#. Located on the other side of Richmond this place does it right. As a frequent sporting clays shooter I made the trip one Sunday over to Old Forge Sporting Clays to check the place out. Location is kinda remote, which is a good thing, the drive in once you got off the highway was a little bit rough you could say. A few potholes in the road that wouldn't take all that long to fill in that you need to be careful of. A very nice clubhouse that you checked into. The trail through the woods is an easy walk , but golf carts are available if you choose to rent one. Targets are challenging and can be a bit over the top at some stations ( no edge on rabbits thrown as shondells please ). But overall it is a nice place to shoot. The biggest positive is definitely the price to shoot !!! Absolutely the cheapest place per one hundred clays that I have been to. !! So stop in if you are in the area and visit the place !! read more

A nice play to shoot clays. I wish they hadn't shutdown the original course that was located behind the clubhouse. The original layout was much better than the current course. But still a fun and challenging layout. read more
