One was hiding in the bushes. The next day the father came to our site yelling and accusing us of ridiculous things. We were very nervous. They were glaring at us all day. We went to the ocean at night and came back to multiple chairs ruined. They tried to get into camper which was evident because locked handle sticking up. Security was great. The next morning a very young manager told us that he would write up an incident report. I told him security told us the tenters would not be back. The manager said that security should not have said that without checking with him. Felt it was more of a power trip than making us feel safe. Needless to say we left without booking next year. I was surprised to see cobwebs in the bathroom, dirty vents, etc. it needed a deep cleaning! However, the water pressure was great and the water got plenty hot. The pond is lovely and the beach was perfect for a day with friends. However, long walk uphill to the restroom. The bathroom/showers by the pool were pretty decent but the musty smell was nearly unbearable. I blame it on people not turning the vent on while they shower. It was so gross to use those toilets because of the smell. Additionally, I was unhappy to see so many children driving golf carts, despite the rule that is in place. It's not safe! Two times we were in almost accidents. First time the young girl was driving the golf cart on the wrong side of the road and was driving right at us. The scarier part was that she didn't even understand why we were waving our arms at her. There was lots of other vehicles and golf carts as it was a Friday night, could have been a bad situation. I did report this to the security. The second time, a young girl just about rear ended us she came up so fast. They need to police this before there is a serious accident!

The pool, hot tub, and dog park are very useful. There are large camping sites with running water and electricity. What I don't like is the adjacent quarry, which is probably operated by the town. Unfortunately, this year (2025), the place is noisy. Heavy machinery and trucks make a lot of noise from 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. I'm sad to say that if this doesn't change, we'll be looking for other options in the future.

The facility is secure, and you will feel good knowing that people that don't belong will not get past the gates. They have an amazing store, with all sorts of camping gear, food, firewood, and plenty of ice. They also rent golf carts for use around this beautiful, massive park. There is a beach, swimming area, food shack, and even an ice cream shop. Not only do they offer a variety of regular and seasonal events, they do an amazing job of putting them together and getting people involved. We had the pleasure of being there for their Halloween celebration, including a massive golf cart parade, costume and decorating contests as well. Considering all that you get, their fees are very reasonable. So why not give camping a try and get yourself to Maple Woods to join in on the fun!

Six lifeguards are not actually required at the Boston/Cape Cod KOA in Middleborough, MA. Instead, the campground employs a rotation of six staff members who fill Recreation Assistant (Lifeguard) roles. This allows the property to maintain safe, active surveillance at their outdoor pool and splash pad during operating hours. And if you are hoping to cool off at the splash pad because the pool is closed, good luck! There are 2 tables with umbrellas & 2 families will take those quickly, so there is no option to sit in that area. Very disappointed in how the whole pool situation is managed.

So loud I had difficulty hearing my check-in instructions. I had to refrain from asking her to take her training out of customer hearing into a back room. Apparently she talks loud as normal and if her loud voice is god given ok... but I suspect her loudness comes from a place of insecurity. After 4 years of being a manager at KOA I would hope she had developed better management skills.

The pavment on the roads is buckeling and falling part. THe grounds are not maintained as well. Internet is not reliable or strong. Many perm sites have been vacated. I have no issue with the staff, all have been nice and pleasant.

Stayed here with my family from Saturday July 13th-Thursday July 18th 2024…read more Checked in at about 1:06pm. This was Melville Pond RV Park, but then switched hands to Newport RV park. Check in process was easy, However, we did have to move sites from 426 to 431 because we didn't fit. We also couldn't take out any tables or chairs had we stayed in spot 426. We have a long 5th wheel trailer with slides so, we need like lots of room. Luckily called the office and was able to switch spots. That seemed to work, and we had more room to set up our table and chairs. Once we completed set up, we tried to set up the tvs. For some reason, if you have a roku tv, don't expect it to connect to the internet, at least from the site we stayed at. Failed to connect several times, and we had to constantly rescan the tv channels because of all 78 channels only a few were coming in clearly. I found things to watch on my own, with the channels that came in properly like history. Anyways, campground was very quiet, and even with a nearby town dog park, it was pretty good, and quiet. Close to newport and about 30 minutes to Province. Overall enjoyed our stay.

The staff at Normandy Farms were amazingly friendly, helpful and accommodating. Debbie, one of the upstairs adult loft cleaning staff was particularly friendly and a joy to speak with. Definitely will consider a return visit when in the area! Ten stars to Normandy Farms!!

Check the stadium's event calendar before you book. Because they wont mention that at all. We were delayed 2.5 hours just getting in on day one. Because of that, we didn't want to leave the campground the next day either -- the cops had roads blocked off, and we had to U-turn and cut through a gas station just to get back in. Not fun pulling a big rig. Our planned Boston day got canceled entirely. Site issue: Pulling into our site, our tire dropped through an old, rotted plastic grate hidden in the ground. We put a board over the hole and called the front desk. Nobody came out until the next day, and when they finally did they replaced the cover and told us no one even told them. We're still hoping there's no tire damage. Golf cart policy: We decided to make the most of the amenities -- took our golf cart out and played some pickleball. Shortly after, we got a call saying golf carts aren't allowed, even though ours is registered and insured. Meanwhile, we saw golf carts all over the property. The campground is huge, so apparently you're expected to rent theirs instead. Bottom line: The place itself is nice, but go in informed -- otherwise you could waste time and money.
