There is a trail at first for the bikes and hikers and than it splits. Hikers go to the left, bikers to the right. Just be aware of each other and all is good. Hikers make sure to step aside for the bikers, harder for them to slow down and pick up their momentum again. Seeing how this was my first hike and I'm a big girl who lost some weight, I did the littlest trail first. Only took me 25 minutes. Worked out my heart though. They also have a place where kids could do bikes on hills. Does that make sense lol Cool place over all ! Will be back.

Great urban getaway amid the hustle and bustle that is McKinney. Only 20 years ago McKinney was a…read moresleepy little north Texas town that had seen it's better day. However, having always had something special going for it,the north Texas growth has breathed new life into this 10 square mile area formerly " historic" McKinney. This little lake created by forward thinking city planners is more and more a community gathering point. Just to the west is a full blown Frisbee golf course, hiking/biking trails and more. I just discovered a new addition today. A lighted walk,with music,to enjoy after dark I'll be back.

There's a parking space, walking trail, basketball court, swings, picnic area with grills, playground, mini splash pad and lots of grass to run on. The McKinney airport is right next door past the wooded area so you can see small planes take off and land, which is actually neat, especially if they're the old fashioned ones.
