This brewery is awesome! Definitely work a trip to Washington, MO. The atmosphere is very fun, bier hall style, lots of German influence. Very cool decor made from craft brewery caps, coasters, and stickers. The staff was super friendly and quick with service. Good vibes inside. Lots of beer options!! We were pleased with the selection, especially since beer isn't my favorite but there was a cider option and seltzers you could have flavored with 5-6 house made flavorings, no fake store bought stuff. I really loved the cider, which was actually made by a local brewer but I love seeing breweries involve their communities like that. I highly recommend the seltzer as well - the flavors were unique. There was food available from Tilted Skillet but we did not try it. Looked good from what other people were eating. Downside was that no one was masked and social distancing wasn't enforced. There were some huge groups of people there and it felt a little crowded. However, there was hand sanitizer available at each table.

On a recent trek out west, we made a stop at Old Bridgeview Brewing to try their beers. The location of Old Bridgeview Brewing is pretty central to many of the town's business and also the Katy Trail. Parking was a breeze, as was getting into their quaint space. The vibe in Old Bridgeview Brewing feels very fresh. Not positive how old this brewery is, but it is well maintained and the tasting room felt very clean. My boyfriend couldn't decide which beer he wanted to try, so he ordered a three drink flight. It was SUCH a clever idea to serve the beers in muffin tins. I've never seen that before and thought it made so much sense. He tried the Mango. I hardly know her wheat beer and loooooved it. Not only was it a silly name, but it was a tasty summer treat. Not too sweet, and not too heavy. It was his favorite of his selections. Being an IPA fan, I didn't have much of a selection while patronizing Old Bridgeview Brewing. I selected their America IPA called Teen Spirit. It was a pretty solid beer. Nothing flashy. Just a classic workhorse drink that was enjoyably crushable. We were a bit bummed that the kitchen was not open, but have heard such great things about the options they offer from their partner the Tilted Skillet. Would love to return for a few more drinks and some bites.

Enjoyed our afternoon here sitting at the bar enjoying tasters and bar food. They have plenty of beer on tap to try and partner with Tilted Skillet for food. Most tasters are $2 and you can do as many as you'd like. Favorite beer was their wheat saison Outdoor Living and my hubs was the Smack my belly. Food wise the nachos were different and yummy.

MoDOT just built a new Route 47 Bridge into Washington, Missouri and blew up the old 1930's truss bridge that it replaced a couple years ago. River towns are defined by their transportation system....first with boats on the Missouri River, next with trains, then with the automobile. Washington riverfront shows off all three of these systems....with a small airport also across the new bridge. Old Bridge View Brewery has a great view of the Washington riverfront and of course.....the NEW Bridge! We stopped by and the owners were very gracious to show us their new place.,..while waiting for the opening permit. They'll have food. From Tilted Skillet..a local favorite and ice cold home brews and seltzer to quench your thirst. I like it! Nice people, great location..... and as a bridge guy.....superb logo and theme! Glass garage doors open up to a great view. Retro simple design inside. I also love the bottle cap sign! They also have a few pieces of the old bridge! It's a hit!

Great little place right on the riverfront. Fun names of the beers. I went with their homemade seltzer with the jalapeno lime syrup. It was so refreshing and light!

The owners are excitedly brewing, decorating, and preparing for their much anticipated opening! They invited us in for a pre-opening tour! It looks like it will be an awesome establishment!! Can't wait!!

Great beers, and a great place to kick-off the evening, but the lack of any food options means your stay there is limited.

The beers were decent. Pretzels were good. Closed too early on a Sunday evening. I'll be back when in the area.

Several years ago, while visiting in Kansas City, I ordered a Hibiscus Gin & Tonic at Jack Stack…read moreBarbecue. I feel in love with the drink and discovered Pinckney Bend. Sadly, however, I could not order any to ship home to California. A return visit to Missouri was planned and a road trip to The Hermann Wine Trail area was mapped out. Our first stop? Pinckney Bend in New Haven, of course! Planning to purchase a bottle of hibiscus gin and tonic mix, I left with three bottles of gin, two of the hibiscus tonic mix, one corn whiskey, a four-pack of premixed G&TS and Hibhounds in cans, a super-soft t-shirt and one travel-sized PB 8 oz flask, complete with 2 metal shot glasses! Oh yeah, they also sell drinks of the patio for a whopping $5! Support this local business and tell them Pat sent you! Cheers

Made a stop after hitting the wineries to attend their anniversary party and it was so much fun!…read more The distillery, located in New Haven, is nestled between the railroad tracks and the river and both were more than adorable! There were special tastings inside and outside they had fire pits, bales of hay to sit on, fried food on sticks, live music and spiked warm/ cold drinks! They also had these fun fire games set up where you hit a target and a blast of fire lit up the sky - so cool! All of the drinks were amazing and they had a mug deal where if you bought the mug for $10 you could refill it for $3 - this was just for the party though. Everyone was super nice, even when my friend decided to make a hay angel after tripping in the drink line. It's also fun that Paddle Stop Brewery is across the street so we could choose from cocktails or beer. We kept saying that we felt like we stepped into Hallmark movie, with all the small town charm! This is an annual event and we can't wait to make the stop next year!!
