Ola Brewing has something for everyone - beer, seltzer and hard juice. Husband got a custom flight and I ordered the dragonfruit lemonade. They even gave me small tasters of other hard juices. The beet salad was delicious and a nice option to get those greens in while on the island. The wings were a little dry but crispy and not fatty. Definitely worth a stop if you're in the area. Reasonable pricing. Super friendly bartenders. TVs playing sports if that's your thing. Free street parking

Great spot to watch a game and enjoy some beer and food. There are a few spots in the front lot but additional street parking available. We ordered the roasted beet salad with chicken and 6 buffalo wings. The food came out fast and had great flavor. The bartender was very friendly and provided us with recommendations not only for Ola but also in the area. He even switched the tv to a game I wanted to watch. The beer was also cold and had numerous options. I opted for a flight initially which you get to choose any 4. Highly recommend checking them out.

We had difficulties finding a dining spot near our lodging without a long wait. Thankfully, Ola Brew was able to sit us immediately. Started with flight of Hard Juice (enjoyed the Lilikoi orange and GLO). Lechon was crispy and well-prepared. Dan Dan Gnocchi was an amazing experience: Pillowy gnocchi infused with Asian-influenced sauce (slightly sweet, a bit spicy), topped with peanut, aliʻi mushroom, gentle and well-balanced.

Relaxed, modern establishment in Kailua Kona. Locals and tourists come here to enjoy some brews and good food. I liked the variety here; there's a number of flights to choose from and you can have beer, "hard juice" or seltzer. Order at the bar and they bring it to your table. Food came out quick and hot. The chicken wings were crispy with a light tempura batter. Smash burger was awesome and fries were crispy. Music was upbeat and fun, without being too loud. Would definitely recommend this as an alternative to nearby Kona brewing!

Excellent food and beer. Came back 3 times while on vacation in Kona! Very nice staff each time we visited and excellent ambiance.

This girl loves herself an Ola brew, hard seltzer, and hard tea! Even better to get it off the tap vs a can when on Oahu. Love the large bar and friendly staff. The food choices are varied and I enjoyed my selection. Definitely a must stop when in Kona!

Excellent beer! Ice cold and great tasting. Fish and chips (mahi mahi) really tasty fries and good slaw. Fun place worth going to

I love a good brewery so I had to check out Ola when reading up on where to grab a drink on the Big Island. They have a small parking lot with a couple spots but it's in an industrial area so there's street parking. Throughout the time we were there it was great to see the staff engaging with the regulars and be so welcoming. The space is a little unassuming at first as you need to order inside but they seem to have plenty of connecting indoor spaces and even outdoor spaces for large groups. We opted for bar seating so we could watch the game while we enjoyed our flights. The flights were a great way to try their classic beers and some of their seltzers.

Years ago the beer was horrible. Thought we'd try it again. Glad we did. Beer is good and food is even better. Nice chill atmosphere. I had pork tacos and that pig is stellar! My hubby had a burger it was also amazing. Even the fries were good! Merch is also nice. Comfy shirts wirh good designs. Ola is back on our map for big island. We will be back. I look forward to trying more food next trip.

Lemon Lime hard seltzer

Ola Brew in Kailua-Kona offers great beer and unique hard seltzers, teas, and juices. We got the OG beer flight and lemon lime hard seltzer. The OG beer flight was a fun way to taste all the local beers they brew, and the hard seltzer was light and refreshing. I've had their other hard seltzers and I'd say the lemon lime wasn't my favorite flavor, but the ginger and hibiscus lavender are yummy! Vibe: The restaurant has a slightly dark, chill vibe with multiple TVs playing sports games throughout the restaurant. You can order your drinks at the bar. They have food, which we didn't order but all the dishes that others were eating looked delicious! The staff were friendly and the restaurant itself wasn't too crowded, but had a fun vibe that wasn't too loud or rowdy. Parking: They have only a few tight stalls in front of the restaurant, but there is also street parking available in the area.

Grabbed a drink before dinner as friends suggested a good place to go outside of Kona brewery. I opted for hard juices as 6% abv. It's nice they have an 8oz option. Inside was hot as no AC. Would've been better to sit out had there not been crazy rain. It's a local spot as got quite busy for a Tuesday night.

They have a good selection of seltzers and hard drinks as well as a handful of beers. After all, it is a brewery. You have to go to the bar to order your drinks and/or food. They bring it out to your table but sometimes there are long lines to place your order. The prices are a bit steep. $20 for a burger & fries. It's next door to my dive shop so we stopped in after a day of diving.

Pork tacos... about 4" flour tortilla

Here's the thing there's a lot of things that I really like about this place. The food is pretty good. If you're looking to fill up and have a lot of food this might not be the one you want. But it's tasty food. The portion sizes are not equal. We saw a plate go by with fish and chips, and it was really generous with fish and so we ordered it and then when ours came, it was not quite so generous, and we were disappointed. And we had one basket that had a lot of fries and another basket but didn't have a lot of fries so I'm not sure if there's some quality control going on back there or what but that might be something that could be looked at because they should be equal. On that note service where to start I get that large parties might be hard, but in this in parties, here are not hard. You see yourself. You order yourself. You go to the bar and then you order. You get your own water you get your own drinks you get your own food. There shouldn't be a lot of service other than bringing the things to you. Requiring a gratuity of 20%, which is if you ask me extreme for a group of six or more is frustrating at the very least... at the point that we showed up there was very little else open, and there were six of us... given our odds of finding anything else open we ate here anyway... and even though we weren't completely full, we decided not to order anything else because we were gonna get hit with another 20% to order... and that's for us to go to the bar and order our own food and wait for it like a fast food place?? so I gotta ask why is there a 20% gratuity for the same level of service as everybody else that's here at this place? Everyone is here goes to the bar orders the food. Everyone that's here sits down at their own table that they find. There are plenty of large tables or we can split up our own party. When you tip for service ahead of time, it really doesn't encourage good service either. I'm beating a dead horse. Let's move on shall we? The brown ale divine... the lilikoi orange hard juice also amazing, dry if you like that... fish and chips was really tasty again. Ours was a little slim compared to another one we saw...? Maybe it's just luck of the draw but tasty, tastes really fresh. Tacos not very big but very yummy. I got the side salad. I was told it wouldn't have tomatoes, but it did have one sliced so if you have allergies, beware... I do, but luckily they were on the side of the salad, and I took my chances. My allergies are mild. Asking the kids about the burgers they said they're great. I think they might've still been a little on the hungry side afterwards, but they are teenagers?? The chicken wings were really tasty and cooked right. Ranch was good, like homemade? But the buffalo sauce was a little sweet. So my fair reader that's pretty much what we've got... good food mixed but bag review.

We went to the bar area because in the past, without reservations, that was your only real shot of getting seated without a significant wait. That wasn't an issue today. We both ordered a large pizza. I got the Captain, and my buddy did a "Build your own" with 3-4 ingredients. We each had a single drink (pint of beer and a vodka soda) and the check including tip was $100. That is a lot of money for two pizzas, and two drinks. I will say our server was on top of it the entire time. She checked on us several times and was great. My pizza was good. I feel like they subtracted some ingredients from the past but it was tasty. The sauce had a hint of sweetness but not over the top. I did like the crust, although some may have found it to be slightly undercooked; it was but I didn't mind. Our orders came out quickly, pizzas were tasty, service was great. 4/5 stars because for pizza, it seems a bit pricey.

Big Lines, Big Portions!…read more We chose this breakfast spot, and overall it was a decent experience, though not a memorable one. We waited about 15 minutes to be seated, which was fine. My husband ordered the loco moco with coffee, and I ordered the macadamia nut pancakes with POG juice. In hindsight, we probably should've ordered just one dish to share. Portions here are very large, and lately we've learned that ordering less is smarter for us, both to avoid wasting food and money. I completely forgot about that in the moment. The pancakes came as two large pancakes, and I wasn't able to finish them. I kept them simple, no extra toppings. They came with butter and syrup on the table. The pancakes themselves were fine, but a bit dry. They relied a lot on the butter, and I personally didn't love it because it was salted butter, while I prefer regular unsalted butter. Nothing bad, just not something I'd crave again. My husband's loco moco was actually enjoyable overall, but we didn't like the chicken katsu substitution. It was completely soaked in gravy, which made it lose all crunch. If you order loco moco here, I'd recommend sticking with the classic beef patty instead of substituting, since anything breaded will likely lose its texture in the sauce. In the end, we weren't upset, but we also weren't especially impressed. The food was solid, portions were generous, and it felt like a reliable, filling breakfast spot, just not a standout one.
