Dr. Okun is I guess losing her mind, she replied to my post I left over 5 years ago (2016/17) now, 8/3/22. She's a nut job. My kids told me to add - she has horrible breath. They remember! What an actual psycho. No. 1 We NEVER spend hours discussing a treatment plan. I always felt rushed there. I'm not the Dr to choose the plan. 2. I never in my life to this day had a weight problem. Was never EVER on a "crazed" vegetable diet! Nor discussed anything with you about diet or weight loss Ever! Proper meals? I was always and will always be a foodie. And would never EVER drink a meal. That's insane that you lie like this. YOU kept asking me if I lost weight. And I told you NO! You're trying to blame things that never happened rather than what you did. Also I NEVER denied my own photos! AND if I did i not want more photos taken by you on my third and last visit was because I knew I was never going back there and didn't want you charging me for them. Due to your horrible rude attitude AND the horror of the visible changes in such a short time. You said you wanted to push my teeth forward from back to front to close the gap you opened because the back teeth were newer. I still had wisdom teeth. Which my dentist AND new ortho said it is not even possible to do that. All teeth are different sizes. 3. You were the FIRST Ortho. I wish I went to another consultation!! That was my mistake to go straight to you and then start treatment. How are you saying you are the third? Literally everything you have said is delusional. After you ruined my face after only 3 visits I went for 2 other consultations AFTER for help. To FIX MY FACE. It looked caved in. You said I went to them to say you did something incorrectly?? I started my treatment with Dr Okun 3 months ago and was immediately impressed with how thorough she is. She takes a minimalist approach to your treatment and recommends treatment as if you were her kid. Her main interest is the longevity of your teeth. She is flexible with payment plans and scheduling appointments is very easy. Dr. Okun is a genius. She not only straightened my teeth, but she's also the reason that I even have teeth thanks to the occlusal guard she made me to protect me from my clenching and grinding my teeth. She prioritizes the patient, from explaining what's happening, to giving the patient options for how to move forward, to payment plans, to treating every patient herself, and I wouldn't trust anyone else with my teeth or with the teeth of the people I care about. I recommend Dr. Okun to everyone, and I have friends who travel from Queens, Long Island, Brooklyn, Staten Island and more just to see her because she's just that good. I've been with plenty of friends to their dentist and orthodontist appointments, so I can say with certainty that Dr. Okun blows every one of them out of the water in terms of knowledge, understanding, explanations, thoroughness, application, and mastery. The woman is brilliant. If you know she exists and don't go to her then you're doing yourself a huge disservice. Sometimes there's a wait-time for appointments, but its generally because someone else assumed there would be a wait and therefore showed up late, causing delays for the rest of the day, so you should still show up on time to keep things moving.
