I have wanted to try this place out for awhile so yesterday I decided to pick up lunch for my husband and I. The restaurant is real cute and clean with a 100 health score. I liked the menu choices and the fact the meals for lunch were under 15 bucks even with 2 items. I ordered the Hibachi Chicken and Shrimp and got my husband the Filet and Shrimp. The food was good it was just enough to get full but do not expect the box to be busting with food lol. If I had to say anything bad about this place it would be that it took too long to get my food. Be prepared to wait more like 25-30 minutes not 15 minutes or less. read more

We came because our son had never been to a hibachi restaurant so we were surprised that they didn't have the hibachi table! We were considering to go elsewhere but I'm glad we stayed. The three kids religiously get the Chicken & Fries almost every restaurant we go to but this time we deviated (NOOO ARE YOU OUTTA YOUR MIND!?) but again to our surprise they really liked it. PHEW! The girls (7 & 6) even liked the Shrimp tempura sushi roll! They kept calling it ShuShi. We adults ordered the Bowl & Roll, I the Sesame Chicken w/ Fried Rice w/o Onions (Yuck!) with Shrimp Tempura Roll and wife got Teriyaki Bowl with Shrimp Tempura minus avocado, you know because she's allergic (tear drop). We both enjoyed our meals, I washed mine down with Light Kirin Japanese beer (bottled only) in iced cold mug, yum...'try it, you'll like it'. I look forward to coming back again. We've wondered about a hibachi restaurant without the typical hibachi tables... turns out the food is FANTASTIC!! My husband & I both had the Filet Mignon & Chicken Hibachi. Comes with soup, steamed rice and mixed veggies. (I chose fried rice for $1.50 extra) As an appetizer we tried the spring rolls. They come drizzled with 2 sauces that have a little heat. They serve coke products. Our server was awesome. The place is clean. The food was fast. The prices are decent. (Our meals were $15.95) Entire staff is friendly and they make you feel welcome. I was pretty impressed with this "hole-in-the-wall" sushi spot. Sushi was very good. Service on this particular night was lacking. Hence a 3-star rating instead of 4-star. I started with a warm sake. They have multiple cold sakes but only one warm. For my first taste, I ordered the Zen Special. Presentation wasn't great, but tit was made perfectly to order. It wasn't exactly a roll but with the additional fresh fish it was mighty good. Next I ordered the Two Sushi Roll Dinner. For this I ordered the Austell Roll and (basic) Tuna Roll. They both were very good. The Austell has shrimp tempura that was warm. It provided a nice contrast to the spicy tuna. It was supposed to come with a salad but I never received it. Again, overall very good sushi, may just have been on an off night for service. read more

I checked out the outstanding Yelp reviews and decided to take my wife there on a Friday. The location is of the east west connector next to a Lowe's, Moe's, & Panera Bread in Austell. Parking was plentiful in a lighted lot. The building is brand new and the restaurant is tastefully decorated with plenty of tables and booths. The food is excellent! My wife had the chicken teriyaki and I had the chicken and scallops. Both plates came with salad bowl, choice of white, brown, or fried rice. And each plate gets mixed veggies. Wife had the white and I had the fried (which tasted good). The vegetables had a great flavor. The chicken was white breast meat chicken in a not-too-sweet sauce. Both plates were juicy and moist chunks of bird with a really nice flavor. The scallops are large and grilled and come 3 to a plate. Fantastic taste. I also had the green tea which came in a cup. It was hot and was a solid tea to have with some coolness in the air. The highlight was the Oki Roll app which was recommended by our server. 5 star worthy all by itself. Presented on a long rectangular plate with a balsamic glaze and Yum yum sauce and a sprinkle of toasted sesame seeds. It was hand rolled and fried to crispy finish with great taste...most places use frozen pre-made and do not taste nearly as good. Austin was our server and was amazing! He was the one who recommended the app and was on top of everything... I was mistakenly served shrimp instead of scallops but Austin saw it (and profusely apologized) and the management quickly grilled up the scallops. Great meal and great service! This is Okinawa's second day of business and so far, so good. Nice, courteous staff, clean and new restaurant with nice decor. The sushi station is located at the front of the dooe when you walk in and you can watch the chef prepare your sushi if you'd like. Booths line the wall to the left and tables flank the middle. I think it's a nice use of space given the size of the plaza. A nice sit down option outside of the Moe's located next door. My server was very pleasant and enthusiastic. I liked that when she wasn't sure about a question I asked about the menu she was honest and went to ask. All of the staff came by to chat and asked how I liked my meal. I ordered the hibachi shrimp and teriyaki salmon dinner with a house salad and ginger dressing for $17.45. I also ordered The Ninja to go (Hibachi chicken, shrimp and steak) for my husband. The shrimp and the salmon were both very flavorful and perfectly cooked. I love that the teriyaki sauce is just sweet enough with a hint of savory. The veggies were a little salty but that was probably because they are getting the recipes down. I'll come back in a few weeks and order the same thing to see if it was a one time thing. Since they haven't been open long there are certain "kinks" I'm sure they'll work out. One qualm I do have is no matter what you order a house salad doesn't come with your meal if you carry out. I think regardless of whether you are dining in or carrying out if you pay $19.45 for take out, if you want a salad, you should be able to get it. But overall the meal was really good and I'm really glad there is another option for Japanese cuisine in the area. Definitely give them a try. I'll be back. read more

Went here for the first time for lunch today with my family. The decor is very pleasant and serene. Our waitress, Erica, was wonderful. She checked on us frequently, helped us with our menu choices and had a great personality. I ordered Steak & Shrimp from the Hibachi lunch menu as well as the Oki Spring Rolls for the table. The spring rolls were crispy and had a little kick to them from the Thai chili sauce. The steak was tender and very flavorful as was the shrimp. My Aunt ordered the sesame chicken and it was delicious too. The chicken was lightly battered and was tender. My Dad ordered the teriyaki chicken and it was tender and had a good sauce. My Mom ordered the filet mignon hibachi and she said it was as good as any steakhouse. The prices were between $5.99 and $10.95. We asked the waitress and the dinner menu is about $5.00 more per dish. We will definitely become regulars here! read more

Just wanted to file a complaint of how bad of a service this place is. I came in with just my toddler and the front check out guy came to ask me for our drink order . Then after that there were 2 servers with only 3 tables 4 with mine being serviced and not one of them stopped to ask me to take my order . I sat there for almost 10 mins till I said something to one of them . Then he finally took my order and waited for my food . It came the food was okay but my child's order didn't look very appetizing. Also my waiter never returned to ask me if everything was good or if I needed anything else he just disappeared the whole time I sat there. Then I never got my rice for my child either and he would of known that if he ever came to my table to check on us at least ONCE! ... then I continued to wait for my ticket because by this time I was furious and was ready to leave bad service and bad quality of food . I payed, didn't get no interaction from my waiter NOTHING! Very disappointed at this place and people they have working here . Because another thing is that once a table that was being used before I got there was empty and a new customer came in to sit at the table not even 1 mins passes by when his waiter came in to get his drink order so unless they are racist in there too I don't know how I was invisible to them for 10 mins . Pretty solid sushi option in the area. There's plenty of parking outside and seating inside. The staff is attentive and friendly. My waitress was very helpful in picking what to eat. The prices are very reasonable, I think slightly below average. However, the rolls weren't top notch either. They were good! But 4 stars worth. If you're looking for mediocre hibachi/fried chicken or downright terrible sushi, this is the place for you. My lunch visit started with a dirty glass with visible lip marks all over the rim, and went downhill from there. The sushi is inedible and likely to make you sick. The hibachi/bowls automatically come to the table with a bottle of yum yum sauce because it's necessary to coat the food in it to make it edible. If you're stoned and have the munchies, this will probably do the trick. If you're actually looking for good sushi and a pleasant dining experience, go somewhere else! read more

We got delivery from Okinawa - California roll, avocado roll, bubblegum roll, and crazy crab roll. The rolls were appropriately sized (they fit in your mouth), the rice and seaweed were good, and the delivery was fast enough that the tempura roll was still warm.
