The organic chicken was executed cleanly, retaining moisture and natural flavor without drying out, which speaks to disciplined temperature control. The meal closed with a bread pudding that was rich and elevated by a caramel sauce that complemented rather than overwhelmed the dish. Flow: Service followed a structured and intentional cadence. Guests were asked to place the full order upfront, allowing the kitchen to control pacing. This resulted in smooth ticket firing and appropriate spacing between dishes, creating intervals to enjoy drinks without feeling rushed or delayed. Hospitality: Service was attentive and organized. The waiter demonstrated strong command of timing and communication, ensuring that each course arrived with purpose. Kitchen communication was clearly visible. Structure: The menu offers a range of composed plates that support both individual dining and shared experiences. A balance between seafood, meats, and desserts. My first visit was for my birthday a few years ago where we ordered a steak dish that was so incredibly fatty that it was inedible. We told our server and they offered to bring us out another, which was also still SO fatty. The experience left a bitter taste in our mouths but we were comped the steak and offered a $100 gift card to use on a future visit. We were in no rush to return and it took almost a year for us to visit again. On this visit I don't recall anything being bad but nothing stood out. Our third and fourth visits ended up being yesterday (Valentine's Day) for last minute brunch and dinner reservations. We were appreciative that they were able to squeeze us in last minute. We weren't too keen on a pre fixe menu, but everywhere appears to have a set menu on the holiday. I ordered the shakshuka which lacked depth of flavor and was very disappointing. Probably the worst shakshuka I've ever had unfortunately. The salad and bread that came with it were both good. My husband ordered the steak sandwich (the other 2 entrees he wanted to try were both sold out). The sandwich was very flavorful but needed to be served on a crustier bread. The skillet pancake had good flavor but was so incredibly dense and could've used more bananas. Valentine's dinner was the straw that broke the camel's back. Out of everything that was offered, the only dish worth mentioning was the lobster pasta. It was spicy, pasta cooked al dente, and a fair amount of lobster chunks. We received our salad promptly but our pasta second course came out before the seafood starter course. We brought it to our server's attention and it still took a long time to receive it. Then we had another long wait for our main course. The steak was okay, mashed potatoes were good, but the peppercorn sauce absolutely ruined the meal. There were too many peppercorns in every bite. Also the Nutella flan they offered for dessert was a far cry from a flan. It wasn't good. I would've preferred their regular desserts as an offering. Service was very lackluster. Overall, I'm very disappointed. I really wanted to love antique given that it has been voted best restaurant in Hoboken, but the service and food are both subpar.

My girlfriend's birthday dinner…read more It took one hour to even get drinks and I am not exaggerating. We had 3 or 4 different servers throughout our dinner, didn't get a single name. Can't even say it felt like we were forgotten about because we never really had a server to begin with. I think our server was supposed to be the old lady who took our our drink/food order but never brought anything to the table. Had to grab another waiter just to get our drinks (yes, one hour in). The table next to us sat down 15 minutes after us and already was eating dinner after we had been waiting over an hour and just gotten drinks. I spoke with the hostess and they assured us drinks, coffee and dessert would be comped, food on the way. They apologized for being slammed. Appetizers came out staggered. Was weird. Burrata first then 20 minutes later the salad and shrimp came out. We didn't get our dinner until we were about 2 hours in. Got the bill without ordering dessert/coffee because we just wanted to get out of there and THEY DIDN'T EVEN COMP THE DRINKS! They said they would. I've never had a more poor dining experience. $230 dinner with no server, empty promises, and mediocre food arriving at our table 2 hours in. The entire experience ran almost 2 and a half hours. Just terrible, especially on my girlfriend's special day. Unfortunately we will not be back.

He really took care of us. He goes above and beyond and gives great effort. We got the French onion soup to start. Super good. Lovely cheese baked over all the top of the bowl. The flavor is crazy. The broth is amazing. I loved every bite of that. Then we got the pastilla and tajine d'agneau. The pastilla is delectable. A must. It's some of the wildest flavor combinations I've ever experienced. You're eating shredded chicken mixed with cinnamon and white powdered sugar. All within phyllo dough. The tajine is fun to try, but it was just OK. It's kind of like a lamb stew. I will give kudos to a very soft and not too chewy Lamb. The prunes and apricots are such a unique flavor duo with these. Couscous is fun. This meal was a 4 for me but everything else, divine. The music was fun. They a live guitarist and sax player serenaded us. Dim lighting. Such a prime location. Lovely to walk through this neighborhood after you're stuffed.

I definitely recommend having a reservation as they were pretty busy on a Sunday morning. The Cappuccino was well-made, soothing, and gave me a much-needed caffeine kick. We got one sweet & one savory dish because that's the best way to brunch! The Steak & Eggs was surprisingly good! The hanger steak was juicy, tender, and well-seasoned. I had asked for the eggs to be soft scrambled and I felt like they were a touch overcooked but still enjoyable and paired well with the steak. The brunch potatoes could've been way crispier but I did enjoy the peppers & onions mixed it. The French Toast was fantastic. The coconut butter was a nice addition and it was the right sweetness level overall. Good try for brunch!

There was only one other family dining, and the space stayed empty the entire time. The service was genuinely great. Friendly staff, welcoming atmosphere, and a really cute, cozy space. I especially loved the Christmas décor and overall vibe--it felt warm and inviting. Unfortunately, the food didn't quite live up to the prices. The house salad was $13 and honestly one of the most basic, smallest, and most boring salads I've ever had--very underwhelming for the cost. We also ordered quesadillas, a cheeseburger with fries, and grilled cheese with tomato soup. My son enjoyed the burger and fries, and the quesadillas were flavorful, generously filled with chicken and veggies, and came with sour cream, pico, and guac. The tomato soup was tasty, while the grilled cheese was just okay. One small but appreciated detail: canned soda. Cold, crisp, and not flat which is always a win. Lunch for 3 came in just under $100, which felt high given what we received. One frustration was being seated in a tight corner right next to the kitchen even though the dining room was completely empty. We were so close I could literally see into the kitchen and count items on the shelves. On top of that, the hostess repeatedly walked by calling out "corner," which became distracting and honestly a bit irritating. Overall, I liked the vibe, but the food-to-price ratio missed the mark for me. It wasn't bad--just alright.

This was my parents' first time trying French cuisine. We shared the strip steak, lamb chops, seafood paella, and mussels. Our favorite was the seafood paella. It was done really well, and we had a generous serving of seafood in this dish. All this being said, what none of us liked was the service. The only times we ever saw our server were when she brought us water at the start of our meal and took our order. Outside of that, we were NOT attended to during our meal. No check-ins on how we liked the food, if we needed more water, or if we were ready for the check. I ended up having to stand up from our table and grab another waiter's attention for basic service. Even then, we were still being forgotten. I would come back here for the food, but the service would make me hesitate.
