He called the manager down in the pit and I heard them talking about bent clips and the manager came up and said we were just waiting for the tech to install the shield. I have been to this place several times in the past and I recognize the sound and force applied to the bolts, and it didn't seem right. I was late for a meeting and it slipped my mind. I work at Boehringer Ingelheim right across the street. I headed home after work and that feeling came to my mind that something wasn't right. I got home and crawled under the truck, and there was no skid plate or shield. I called and actually got ahold of the tech that did the work, he remembered dropping it and telling the boss about the bent clips, but said it must have fallen off. A trd has a large metal shield and it clips in a well as is bolted on. There is no way it just fell off. I said I just wanted my skid plate back, no questions asked and he told me to come back in, but then found out I live an hour away and said call the manger in the morning. Mistakes happen, just own up to it, but no they would rather lie. This piece aftermarket is more than $600 as its sole function is to protect the underside of the engine compartment. I urge all Boehringer Ingelheim employees to avoid this business along with any other potential patrons.​

I went to Todd's to have (4) tires that I provided mounted and balanced assuming it would not be more than $100.00 total. My bad I didn't ask the price... when I went into the office to pay I was told $191.00 I reacted "You have got to be kidding me?" The new owner Katie very pleasantly said no that's the price since you didn't buy the tires here. I wrote a check and left feeling really unhappy about the amount billed. I called back the following day after checking prices with Mr Tire in Tonganoxie and told her they quoted me $100 total & $5 a tire disposal. I said I would like to have $40 or $50 back or she would be losing a customer. She explained that she felt it morally wrong to buy my business. I explained you just lost my business permanently and I would be writing a negative review. Buyer beware check prices before doing business at Todd's Tire. I took his truck over to the dodge dealership and they told me everything on the truck especially the tire rod was perfect. My truck overheated while moving my family from Nebraska to Missouri. We had to check into a motel…read moreat 10 pm in St Joseph's. I woke up early in the morning and started calling around to mechanics near me in a town I have never been in and they were the first ones who said they could get us in and back on the road that day. They diagnosed the problem was my radiator needed replaced and also noticed my serpentine belt needed replacing also. They got a radiator right away and started working on my truck right away. They even through in the replacement belt for free. Ross at the front counter understood my situation of needing to get me and my family back on the road and we're very accommodating. While I can't say I will return again since I was just passing through, if anyone every asks me about a mechanic in St Joseph's I will recommend them.
