My truck overheated while moving my family from Nebraska to Missouri. We had to check into a motel at 10 pm in St Joseph's. I woke up early in the morning and started calling around to mechanics near me in a town I have never been in and they were the first ones who said they could get us in and back on the road that day. They diagnosed the problem was my radiator needed replaced and also noticed my serpentine belt needed replacing also. They got a radiator right away and started working on my truck right away. They even through in the replacement belt for free. Ross at the front counter understood my situation of needing to get me and my family back on the road and we're very accommodating. While I can't say I will return again since I was just passing through, if anyone every asks me about a mechanic in St Joseph's I will recommend them. read more

They fixed my alternator and in the process cracked my radiator. They offered to fix it for free but I already had it had another mechanic. Which means I would of had to miss more work and pay for the tow service to get my car out there. Definitely would not recommend. And by the pictures it's obvious that it was cracked when they put it back in. read more

Called to inquire about a Groupon, that was $49.99, for four wheel alignment, was assured that it would work for my Subaru outback and it would take 1 hour. Scheduled my appointment for later that week. Got there at 10am and wasn't talked to until 11am, then was told that my Groupon will not cover this, "get your money back from Groupon" and then told me an alignment would cost me $260 for my car and will take 2 hours of work. I told him that we drove an hour here and have wasted another hour waiting, for him to tell me I was given incorrect information. When he looked at the appointment record he said "oh that was Christy. She doesn't know". Okay? Then you should honor what we were told or train your employees better. Charged us almost $500 for a battery swap just for us to have another shop work on the same issue for a battery connection issue. Staff is incredibly rude and self entitled to expecting a good review after they clearly screwed us out of $500 dollars and didn't even fix the issue they claimed to have fixed. I wouldn't refer my worst enemy to the one in St Joseph and clearly they are more about getting sales marks up than actually taking care of customers. I received a groupon for a oil change and windshield wiper replacement. I scheduled an oil change and that was done along with the wiper replacement without them resetting the maintenance required sensor in my car with an additional fee as I did not know I needed full synthetic ok that is fine of course I paid the extra as that is on me. The head person there then talked to be about my tire rod on my passenger side needing replaced and that it wouldn't pass inspection in the future. I set up that appointment for this week and due to my busy work schedule had my boyfriend take it up there. They called me stating the part was not in and my boyfriend rescheduled for the following day. The tire rod was fixed and the alignment was done but then my skid sensor was stuck on. I called and they told me to bring it back up there. They wanted to charge me another 100 dollars for something they messed with in the first place and for another alignment my boyfriend stated no an alignment was just done today and we were not going to pay for another one because their mechanic messed with a sensor. At this time my boyfriend asked for the maintenance required sensor to be reset since they did the oil change last week. The sales people tried to say that I NEEDED NEW WINDSHIELD WIPERS as that it retriggered the sensor wanting him to pay for new wipers... 1 there is no sensors on my kind of car for wipers and 2 THEY WERE JUST CHANGED BY THEM LAST WEEK. Wouldn't recommend getting new brake pads and rotors here. They put mine on incorrectly and the clips were digging into the rotors. Had to go to dealership and pay to get their work fixed. Refused to refund the cost of labor even though they clearly screwed up. Went back twice to have them fix the issue (gave them two chances) and the second time they actually blamed the sound on the back brake pads/rotors which were replaced months ago. Sound didnt start until they replaced the front. Refused to take ownership for their mistakes. STAY AWAY. read more

I did have an issue with this establishment after having an alignment done. My steering wheel was off center after the alignment. After notifying them, the owner/manager reached out to me and personally made sure it was fixed and rode with me afterwards to make sure I was satisfied. Kudos for fixing the issue. read more

My husband took his car to Precision for an oil change because they came highly recommended by a friend. I bought a groupon for $49 (oil change & tire rotation) plus an inspection & a top off of all fluids. His appointment was at 4pm. First thing they told him was that all his wheels were bent and asked him if his car shook. He said it didn't, and they kept telling they couldn't believe he didn't feel anything because they're so bent. My husband reports for work in KC, so he is always driving on the highway, if the car was shaking, he'd know! They then tell him he needs to pay to balance all the tires. Fine, he said go ahead. After being there for 2 hrs, he leaves only to discover the oil change sticker says to return in 2,000 miles - he calls, they tell him 5,000 is what it should say. Ok, no biggie. By the time he gets home, there is smoke coming out from under the hood AND he smells a horrible odor. Plus there is oil on the floor of the garage under his car. He lifts the hood and there is oil ALL OVER his engine. That's great! Spilled oil happens, but wipe it up and let the person know!! Also, none of the fluids were topped off. Again, not the biggest deal, but don't advertise it if you aren't gonna do it. So this morning, he decides to take it on the highway to make sure it doesn't shake. The car starts shaking horribly. He calls Precision & is told that he may need new tires. No, these tires are in great shape! So he takes it in (was there before 9am) only to be told that their balance machine is messed up & they need to take his tires to another shop. No wonder they were telling him the night before they his wheels were bent & out of balance, it wasn't the car, it was their machine!!!!! An hr & a half later, he comes home because he's tired of sitting there. His car was "ready" by 215pm!! Wow, 5 hrs to balance tires???? So we go to pick it up, we are standing there & a gentleman (who we find out is the district manager) hands my husband the keys and says "you should be all set" no I'm sorry, didn't offer to refund him for the charge of balancing wheels that were fine to begin with, NOTHING!!!!!!! Do NOT go here, you'll wait forever for something that shouldn't need to be done to begin with!!!!! Plus be charged for it. We will never go back to this shop again. Needless to say, my husband will take his car elsewhere Monday to make sure everything is ok! read more

Do not take your car here, I went for an alignment after having another place install new tires and Patrick the tech who worked on my car informed me after he was finished and drove my car that there was a hole in my drive axle boot and it was fresh and slinging grease everywhere.The fact that he didn't show me this while it was up on the lift leads me to believe he did it along with pry marks in the area he was making adjustments, no way to prove it now and it's going to cost me $800.00 to repair it. read more
