The several BMV offices I spoke said it couldn't be done. they could not change my previous address. Every BMV I spoke with informed me to go back Parkersburg, West Virginia, pay taxes, have a new Wv Title made then go to Marietta Ohio, pay taxes again and have a new Ohio auto title made with my new address . The lady at the Lorain County Title Office made a few phone calls and solved all my issues. She was patient, very knowledgeable and the most helpful of any BMV office employee I have ever felt with.

It was a long shot, as we had been trying all day at various BMVs with no success due to state-wide system outages. Despite the system being down since 9am, and our number not being called until 4:55pm, the staff at this location rallied for my son and gave the system a try and lo and behold, it worked. While the system being up or down was not within their control, I appreciated the genuine effort they gave, especially so close to closing, and was grateful for their optimism and persistence. I have to give a shout out to Gloria in particular--her friendly demeanor and positive attitude was a ray of sunshine on what had been a previously long and stressful day. Literally everyone in the office was wonderful and hard working and I never would have thought that stopping at a BMV on E 55th at closing would be the highlight of my day, but it for sure was and again I am so grateful for the excellent customer service and support my son and I received and especially thankful for Gloria for reminding us how good kindness feels.

The day we went, we got new licenses and annual tags for our license plates, and were in and out in fifteen minutes. The place was spotless, efficiently run by polite and friendly staff who explained everything with clarity and great patience. I've worked all over the country and this was one of the nicest experiences I've had in a BMV office.
