If you are looking for a pre or post workout treat. Or if your in need of a healthy pick me up, this is the spot. As soon as I walked in, I was greated with the kindest smile and a warm "Welcome" by the owner. She was so kind as to explain the menu, how things were made, and gave some very helpful recommendations. The place was clean, bright and had a nice area to sit, cool down and relax after any workout. I got the Butter Pecan Ice Cream meal replacement shake, that come in one size only (16oz.). It was really delicious. It wasn't to sweet and the protein didn't make the shake taste chalky (it was just right). I also got to try a Non- Caffeine drink option called "Just Peachy". This drink is light, not too sweet, refreshing and tastes just like the peach rings candy. Both drinks had protein and other vitamins/supplement options. Finally got to try this place! Such a cute and roomy spot, lots of seating. Very welcoming and friendly staff. Big menu with lots of flavor and add on options. In the Ohana spirit, I had the Cafe Hula Pie shake and YUM. It was so good. Definitely reminded me of the Hula Pie from Dukes, but with 24 grams and protein and less than 250 calories?? Stop by here after my yoga session. Was trying to find something to cool off and found this place. They had amazing selection and combo. First time here so one of the owners explained the menu to me and gave recommendations. Love when owners take the time to sell their product. Yes, tell me more about what's in it and what your favorite is! We tried Cafe Hula Pie and Oatmeal Cookie protein shakes. We both were very impressed with the flavor. It wasn't chalky. I would definitely get the oatmeal cookie one again! For the teas, we tried the Blue Hawaiian and Tropic Like It's Hot. Both were delicious. I searched for a local smoothie shop and landed on this gem. Can't believe I haven't been here sooner! The owner was very friendly, helpful, and welcoming. As a senior citizen, I have to admit that I am not the "gym" type-but I do try to stay active and eat healthy. MORE importantly however was the feeling that it left me with for the rest of the entire day. It was astounding. I literally had a new "stride in my step" if you will. They took the time to recommend some delicious healthy drinks for me, from a refreshing aloe tea to a frosted protein shake (that tasted JUST like apple pie)-each of which REALLY hit the spot on a warm day for sure. *Who would have known that Aloe comes in 4 different flavors: Grape, Mango, Cranberry, and Mandarin Orange? I even had "greens" added to my shake and never would have known it, as I couldn't ever even taste the "greens". Next visit I have a dilemma, do I pick the............... -Banana Cream Pie, -Butter Pecan Ice Cream, -Caramel Frap, -Cafe Hula Pie, -Cherry Chip, -Chunky Monkey, -Mint Chip, -Smores, -Berry, -Oatmeal Cookie, -Brownie Batter, -Banana, -Fruity Pebbles, -Mango Colada, -Peanut Butter Oreo shake or.... something else ? *They even have straws that actually allow you to enjoy your milkshake. as they are larger around (go figure ?). The flavors are seasonal and vary throughout the year as well :) And everything tastes SO much better than the fake, processed, chemical "chain" stuff. Apparently, there is even a "Waffle Wednesday" as when I entered, there was an inviting aroma of a freshly made waffle just being served that I could almost taste. It is clean. There are comfortable places to sit, tables, interior climate control, a clean restroom, and a really fresh and inviting atmosphere. You can come alone, or with a group of friends to partake. They are centrally located and have plenty of parking right outside the door. There was a constant stream of regulars who knew what they wanted. Me (as a newbie) was a bit overwhelmed at first. There are so many choices. I had a lot of questions. They were very patient and happy to answer them for me. *They can also help design a menu item with your very own personal goals/needs/wants in mind for no extra charge. The owners' kind and caring manner made me feel right at home. They are a standalone business. They are not "corporate". Their fresh ingredients are custom ordered-just for this store, not bought in "bulk", sitting around in a hot warehouse somewhere offsite for months. They display what old fashioned customer service is truly ALL about. They genuinely care about each and EVERY customer, and it shows. *Curious of what the name Ohana meant, I looked it up. It means family (not just blood)-strength-sense of community-love-friends-support-nobody gets left behind, etc. That is a perfect name for this place, AND for these people. You owe it to yourself to try them. Skip the fast food milkshake, coffee, or tea. I.E. Baskin Robbins, DQ, or Starbucks. Come here and get the same "taste, texture, and flavor", BUT in a straight up HEALTHY form-that will leave you feeling great for the entire rest of the day.
