Had the Arrachera Steak and it was extremely tender and juicy. It came with guacamole and tortillas and was extremely filling. The ojo rojo here was yummy too and I had it with a Dos Equis lager. Boyfriend really enjoyed their peanut butter margaritas. I bought a bottle of it and brought it back to the States. I made a peanut butter tequila green smoothie with it and it was really good (and mostly healthy), haha. I really liked their back patio seating area. It's lush and super intimate and would actually make a super cute wedding space. read more

First of all, we love the family that runs this place. We met them at their place on the east side of the island . We.... Being native chicagoans heard they had deep dish pizza! We usually go for the local Cozumeleño foods but this was our 5th year in a row visiting the island and decided it was time to visit. The ambience is amazing! The service was fantastic. Our server allowed us to practice our ever improving Spanish skills without making us feeling embarrassed. The drinks (especially our fave peanut butter Tequila) were fantastic . We sat outdoors on the beautiful patio after dark. The pizza was delicious and had its own special flair . We also ordered some other appetizers. The place was filled with some great Bob Marley and other music memorabilia and their garden was gorgeous. HIGHLY Recommend. read more

Ohana Cafe - Mexican Near Me - Cozumel, ROO

We targeted four restaurants on the North side of the Plaza and settled on Ohana. Good choice. We can be rowdy, so we chose the backyard. We sang, played music and totally entertained ourselves, customers were eating inside so we bothered no one. I had the Moctezuma Pasta- Ooooh good. So good I didn't add the Parmesan cheese sprinkle. Nicole had this super cheesy pizza. Wife Karen, enjoyed whatever it was she ate. Service was excellent as was the total bill. If I can get them to add Hawaiian Lau-Laus, they will get 5 stars. Overall, Ono-Ono when u want to Cow-Cow brah'. read more

The owner was very friendly, and the food was quite delicious. Made for a great experience.

I just wandered into this place kind of by accident..... And what a great happy accident it was..... A very comfortable fun friendly place with a local crowd that is very welcoming and an owner who is also very welcoming and a great guy and person to talk to..... And as it turns out he is from Chicago and is making some amazing Chicago style thin crust pizza which I tried and oh my gosh I can't remember the last time I had that good of pizza outside of Chicago..... So I will be going back soon to try his deep dish..... And then there is the peanut butter tequila and the service and the friendly atmosphere so this is really quite the find..... I will be telling people and bringing them here read more

We had dinner here our last night in Cozumel. The food was really good, my husband got a pizza & I got a burger with grilled pineapple on it. Very tasty and the restaurant is really nice & has such a great atmosphere to it. Staff and owner were also very attentive & took great care of us. read more

We ended up here because it seemed to be the only place open on Christmas eve. The peanut butter tequila seemed to be advertised everywhere, so I asked the waiter if it was sweet (I hate cocktails that taste like dessert). He said no, asked if I wanted a shot, and I said I'd prefer it margarita style since I wanted a drink. What I got was something that looked like milk and alcohol doused in a lot of chocolate syrup. I was not expecting milk when I ordered something with Margarita in its name. I told the waiter I'm allergic to dairy, he made a fuss about not being able to take it off but maybe making an exception if the manager agrees and then finally said he would take it off our tab. Except that when the bill came we were still charged for the "margarita". On to the food - I got the lobster, which tasted too much like cheap margarine to be enjoyed. The vegetables it came were boiled and tasteless. My partner had the coconut shrimp, which we enjoyed at first but then quickly couldn't handle the grease anymore. We also shared the ceviche, which was ok. It was one of the priciest places we went to on Cozumel and definitely was not worth the cost. read more

Love Ohanas. We make sure to visit every year that we come to Cozumel. Made 2 visits this last trip and they did not disappoint. Deep dish pizza takes a while to prepare and cook but it is so worth it. Carlos has been a great server and host each visit. Will always recommend this place to everyone that I know who come to visit the island. read more

- excellent food, suggest you try the lobster - well priced, esp for lobster - great service, owners are attentive and amazing - indoors have a bar for drinking/smoking, but the best part is the restaurant out back. It's out doors (so watch the rain) with great decor. - open 5 to late every day except sunday. read more

Excellent drinks especially the peanut butter tequila. The food average- we had the lobster burgers tasted frozen and tough . Suggest they grind it like a meat patty and serve it that way. Backyard is cute so long as it doesn't rain- read more

As much as I wanted to love the deep dish pizza, what this place is kind of known locally for, it was just ok, but the fish and other food we (a large group had) were all fantastic. Maybe the shrimps should have been peeled in one of the dishes but it was great as well. We actually went there three times during our week long stay (mostly for drinks), the service was great, great place to sit and drink, friendly people, and you definitely want to get the peanut butter tequila. We bought two bottles and wish we could get more. read more

Every time I go to Cozumel I must visit Ohana's Restaurant. It serves the best shrimp burger not to mention the popcorn shrimp. Drinks to die and peanut butter to purchase. Exclusive looking but casual to dress up attire. Best place in Cozumel read more

Great food, great drinks, great service. Everything you need wrapped up in one place. I'm a regular to Cozumel and this place is definitely in my top 10 places to visit. I've eaten lots of different things from the menu over the years and have never made a bad choice. Matt and Angie run a top notch operation and go out of their way to make sure everyone feels welcome. Love this place and can't wait to get back next trip. read more

One night of the week (I forget which...Wednesdays??) they have 2 for 1 burger night. I never ate any of their food so I can't vouch for it, though those eating around me seemed to be enjoying their meals. This place is known for their Peanut butter tequila...yea, I know it sounds weird, but it's good...if you like the taste of peanut butter. I do, but it's a little too sweet for my taste, so I still prefer my tequila straight, or in a margarita. This place is a little off the beaten path (though easy enough to find and not far from the town square) so it's mostly locals (local expats that is) and not too many tourists. The owner is American and plays much better music than you'll find in 99% of the other bars in town, which is reason enough to drink here for me. read more

Excellent find! My wife and I were recommended to this place by some friends that came back from Coz recently. Fantastic outdoor patio, great atmosphere, and to die for stuffed shrimp! Will continue to go back as it was excellent food and service. read more

Good dinner specials. Reasonably priced. Patio sitting tucked away in a garden setting. Xm Sirius music. Parking limited might have to go around the block. Try their 2 for 1 burgers. A local place with a wide variety and types of food. They make their own flavored tequila. Try their pizza cups or lobster. read more

Let me start with a warning by saying we were a large party. That being said we were also the only people for the entire restaurant. At least that's what the owner said when we got started. They got right to serving us and took our drink orders first. Took a while but finally everyone got a drink and about 30 minutes later they took our food order. That's when things went sour. We sat for a good 2+ hours without seeing anything arrive. When it finally did arrive everything came out together. Most of it was ice cold from being cooked and left out. The meal I got was more than disappointing, I would say it was by far the worst one I had the entire week in Cozumel. After sitting at a restaurant for 4 hours I still couldn't eat it. I can say I've never seen food hit the table with a party and everyone be done within 10 minutes. The portions were so small and sad that I honestly thought I had a kids meal. The drinks were not good. Not only mine but everyone in the party that had a mixed drink found them to either be poorly made or in the case of the mimosas, containing so many garnishes they resembled a salad. When the checks came it was a shit show. They put random people together, added drinks, had wrong totals, and everyone had to have them changed. Most of us sucked it up and took the wrong total after 5+ hours in the place we were more than ready to get out of there. Most of us went to go eat after becaue we were starving. The positive reviews are great, but I would avoid. read more

Came here with the family on our last night in Cozumel. It was very quiet for a Friday night and we were the only ones outside dining. Food took quite a while to come out from the kitchen (40 min plus), which was a little surprising since we were the only ones waiting for dinner. Our server was Manuel and he was very polite and kept up with our drinks. We appreciated his service. My wife and I both got lobster and it was delicious! My daughters got the quesadillas and loved them and my son got the beef nachos. I would come back to Ohana's for dinner. read more
