I just wandered into this place kind of by accident..... And what a great happy accident it was..... A very comfortable fun friendly place with a local crowd that is very welcoming and an owner who is also very welcoming and a great guy and person to talk to..... And as it turns out he is from Chicago and is making some amazing Chicago style thin crust pizza which I tried and oh my gosh I can't remember the last time I had that good of pizza outside of Chicago..... So I will be going back soon to try his deep dish..... And then there is the peanut butter tequila and the service and the friendly atmosphere so this is really quite the find..... I will be telling people and bringing them here

Great ambiance and friendly service. The food was delicious and very quick service. All the staff were very outgoing and eager to make our experience memorable.

Excellent drinks especially the peanut butter tequila. The food average- we had the lobster burgers tasted frozen and tough . Suggest they grind it like a meat patty and serve it that way. Backyard is cute so long as it doesn't rain-

I made a peanut butter tequila green smoothie with it and it was really good (and mostly healthy), haha.

We did 2 person AYCE and it was by far the worst sushi I've ever eaten in my life. The fish was…read moremediocre at best everything that should have been hot was cold and everything that should have been cold was hot. The biggest thing that they could improve immediately would be the rice. The rice is almost inedible. How is it crunchy and lumpy at the same time? The texture made me gag multiple times. I believe good sushi doesn't need soy sauce. Well this sushi needed Diet Coke with every bite. The service was nice and enthusiastic about the menu. I couldn't tell her the truth about the food so when we got to the last roll and literally couldn't stomach more I said wed eaten too much and I'd just pay the uneaten roll charge. Some introspection in the kitchen could go a long way for this place mostly starting with the rice but literally none of the food was very good and all of it was overcooked. The mussels were chewy and gross. If you insist on trying this place do a single nigiri a la carte before you commit to the ayce. You'll thank me for saving your stomach and your wallet. To be clear, none of the food made me sick after eating it but it was physically difficult to eat while I was there.

The sushi itself was average & overpriced - but it was still tasty & visually appealing & a good choice for a meal on a super hot day. The server was very enthusiastic & very involved in our meal. The interior was super cute & the AC was blasting which was a nice relief. We tried the specialty cocktail which we think had close to 0 alcohol in it. We also tried a peach sake which was delicious but once I realized it tasted like peach Burnett's ... It was over. Cozumel Dreaming is located in a nice central location which makes it a handy option for a quick meal. I would probably choose other restaurant options before this one, but if you have a hankering for sushi specifically, then this is definitely the place to go. I wish them the best in their new location!
