A super relaxed beachside bar. Enjoy a Mexican beer or exotic drink with your feet in the sand. Plenty of seafood options with friendly service. More of a tourist destination, then a place for locals. Menu pricing is a bit steep as it is off the beaten path offering beach side views of the sunset. Unique location that offers live some evenings and a variety of services on the beach, such as massages and trinkets for sale. A nice stop on a tour of the island if you've got the time.

It is a photo of a crocodile just stop the beach in the water near Alberto's restaurant in Cozumel

We ate dinner at Alberto's. We had a group of seven who walked to Alberto's from our hotel the Iberostar Cozumel waves resort which is next-door. When we were at Alberto's, we saw a giant crocodile just off the beach in the water....pretty cool. The view from Alberto's is beautiful. It is beachside. Every table has an ocean view. Definitely the Mexican beachside restaurant vibe probably a party spot later in the evening. Delicious cocktails. My husband and I shared the seafood platter which had two lobster tails, shrimp, fish, baked potato coleslaw, drawn butter, which was delicious. The service was great and very attentive. Prices were a little on the high-end, but for the view and the vibe, totally worth it.

Had a wonderful birthday dinner at Alberto's while watching the sunset with toes in the sand. Staying at the Iberostar next door, we decided to get off the resort for my birthday and Alberto's is just a short walk down the beach. I contacted them by WhatsApp earlier, so when we arrived they had a table in the sand with a perfect view of the sunset ready for us. Service was great and margaritas excellent. I got chicken fajitas, which were extremely tasty and they had no issues substituting jalapeños for the bell peppers. Hubby got fish, which he liked a lot. And by happy accident there was a rock cover band, The Rockafellas I believe, playing very good rock. It was honestly one of the best birthday dinners I have had in a while. Thank you Alberto's!

So it's got a good location and okay food if you don't take into account the price. If you're looking for a five star luxury experience you will not find it here. The worse fish tacos on our whole trip. But the experience was fun, the view is gorgeous and if you have no other options it's a good stop.

Always a great little seafood stop, the conch is my fav, plenty of fresh options and minutes from the big beach traps.

This is the beach we are o we were this close to the ocean.

The food was amazing! Dinner on the beach was beautiful! The staff was amazing! They have music for dancing and a gift shop.

Wonderful, fresh seafood. The margaritas are amazing. The location is beautiful. I only took away a star because the mosquitoes were INSANE. My friend had 42 bites after leaving- with bug spray. We had to taxi it back to our resort fairly quickly.

Pick your fresh catch to be grilled!

Great service, good food, was the perfect stop we needed and Pancho was our favorite! Only drawback was the sargasso build up on the beach.

Expensive and half of the crab and lobster tails were empty. Food rinks but the seafood was disappointing

Great food, right on the water. Only negative is how loudly they play the music. Other than that, they are very accommodating.

When we got off the ship there was a line of taxis ready to go and the ride cost $20 for two people one way. When we arrived, the staff greeted us and guided us to the front desk where we checked in for our reservation. I highly recommend making a reservation ahead of time because it definitely helps expedite your entrance. One thing worth noting is that when we booked online it didn't show cabanas available, but when we arrived the host checked and was able to get us into one. I highly recommend getting a cabana if one is available because it gives you a nice private area to relax. That said, there are also plenty of tables with covered umbrellas that provide shade from the sun. What really stood out about this place was the level of service. It was incredibly attentive. I honestly don't think we ever waited more than a few minutes before someone came by asking if we needed another drink or more food. Our servers were Juan and Pops/Eric and both of them were fantastic. It felt like every time I turned my head one of them was checking in to make sure we had everything we needed. They offer all-inclusive food and you can either go up to the buffet or order directly from the menu and have it delivered to your table or cabana. The property also has multiple pools, massage services, swim-up areas, and gift shops around the resort. At one point what appeared to be a manager came by and asked how we heard about the place and checked in on how our experience was going. That really reinforced how focused they are on service. The location is right on the beach so you get beautiful ocean views while enjoying unlimited food and drinks throughout the day. Overall Mr. Sancho's delivers a great beach day experience with excellent service and it's definitely a place I would visit again when returning to Cozumel.

Local restaurateurs have risen to the challenge of using it as a menu item, which is a win-win situation for all, (except the Lionfish). It is EXTREMELY tasty. This restaurant seems to cater mostly to the locals, but they were quite friendly to us American tourist.-types You can pay in American dollars or Mexican pesos with no worries. Now the ambiance is not fancy, but the food is so good, I really didn' t care. It's an open-walled corrugated-iron roofed patio with a full bar, and a flat screen television. Our meal came with complimentary grouper cerviche, seafood sopa de lima, chips and salsa and some lovely green hot sauce. My husband had the deep fried Lonfish and I had the Shrimp Diablo. The soup and cerviche were excellent as was the rest of our meal. The waitstaff was cordial and welcoming, even given our lack of Spanish. We were very happy with our night out and will definitely be back next time we are in Cozumel. By all means, go check them out!

The unassuming restaurant is a vibrantly decorated palapa, in the middle of a local neighbourhood, whose patrons are mostly locals. Tourists who explore the island and discover this place will find it as an unexpected surprise. The extensive menu, filled with photos of their dishes, serves up a variety of fresh and delicious seafood with a myriad of choices of how they are prepared. My cousin, Jasmine, and I couldn't resist the Langosta A la mantequilla, Al ajo (butter garlic lobster) and were not disappointed. The main attraction here is the Pez Leon (lionfish), the invasive venomous fish that have become prevalent in Cozumel. No worries - the chef carefully removes the poisonous spines off of the fish and prepares this mouthwatering delight as you desire; grilled, skewered, with coconut, whichever way you choose. Jasmine and I had to try the Filete a la Plancha - delicate and flaky, it was beautifully cooked and buttery in taste. You can't go to La Perlita without ordering the Pez Leon, en serio! Adding to the wonderful dining experience, the service is excellent. Los meseros (the waiters) are attentive, very helpful, and extremely friendly. The restaurant's utmost concern is customer satisfaction, so if you want to customize something, don't hesitate to ask. The kitchen staff is very accommodating. Jasmine and I enjoyed such an amazing dinner at La Perlita, we had to return the very next night!

After seeing the great reviews here, we schlepped a couple extra blocks (despite a bit of rain) to visit for lunch. Well worth it. We liked Colores y Sabores so much that we returned on another day. Equally fantastic. The Margaritas (I got Mango) are great. Don't ask for frozen mango margarita because, although they will do it, it lessens the flavor of the fresh mango. Tried it both ways, so I can say for sure, lol. The Beans are something you do not want to miss. Something special about them here. The guacamole and pico de Gallo and chips are the way you'd hope: fresh, crunchy, not greasy and just enough pop. Enchiladas are fantastic - and there are three options for how you can get it. The Mole is outstanding - a little smoky, tons of rich flavor. I rarely order fajitas - but I wanted to go simple one day. Perfect. Tender chicken, and caramelized onions and peppers. Try corn or flour tortillas -- or both, like I did. Another day, I tried the tortilla soup and loved it. Soothing, simple, with strips of chicken and crunchy tortilla. We also got the chicken tacos, which were great. 3, with beans and guacamole on corn tortillas. Our fave, though, was the Chile Relleno. Heavenly. Ground beef stuffed inside and this dish was as satisfying and delicious as anything we encountered on the trip. The Carrot Cake! Definitely recommend that, too. Just sweet enough, and homemade.
