It is a photo of a crocodile just stop the beach in the water near Alberto's restaurant in Cozumel

We ate dinner at Alberto's. We had a group of seven who walked to Alberto's from our hotel the Iberostar Cozumel waves resort which is next-door. When we were at Alberto's, we saw a giant crocodile just off the beach in the water....pretty cool. The view from Alberto's is beautiful. It is beachside. Every table has an ocean view. Definitely the Mexican beachside restaurant vibe probably a party spot later in the evening. Delicious cocktails. My husband and I shared the seafood platter which had two lobster tails, shrimp, fish, baked potato coleslaw, drawn butter, which was delicious. The service was great and very attentive. Prices were a little on the high-end, but for the view and the vibe, totally worth it.

Great food, great service, great fun! We visit Cozumel 3-4 times a year and we always come to Alberto's at least once during each trip! We have never come without friends or family and no one has ever left disappointed! They truly do have the best tail in town!

Had a wonderful birthday dinner at Alberto's while watching the sunset with toes in the sand. Staying at the Iberostar next door, we decided to get off the resort for my birthday and Alberto's is just a short walk down the beach. I contacted them by WhatsApp earlier, so when we arrived they had a table in the sand with a perfect view of the sunset ready for us. Service was great and margaritas excellent. I got chicken fajitas, which were extremely tasty and they had no issues substituting jalapeños for the bell peppers. Hubby got fish, which he liked a lot. And by happy accident there was a rock cover band, The Rockafellas I believe, playing very good rock. It was honestly one of the best birthday dinners I have had in a while. Thank you Alberto's!

So it's got a good location and okay food if you don't take into account the price. If you're looking for a five star luxury experience you will not find it here. The worse fish tacos on our whole trip. But the experience was fun, the view is gorgeous and if you have no other options it's a good stop.

Always a great little seafood stop, the conch is my fav, plenty of fresh options and minutes from the big beach traps.

This is the beach we are o we were this close to the ocean.

The food was amazing! Dinner on the beach was beautiful! The staff was amazing! They have music for dancing and a gift shop.

Wonderful, fresh seafood. The margaritas are amazing. The location is beautiful. I only took away a star because the mosquitoes were INSANE. My friend had 42 bites after leaving- with bug spray. We had to taxi it back to our resort fairly quickly.

Pick your fresh catch to be grilled!

Great service, good food, was the perfect stop we needed and Pancho was our favorite! Only drawback was the sargasso build up on the beach.

Great food, right on the water. Only negative is how loudly they play the music. Other than that, they are very accommodating.

We visited Mr. Sancho's Beach Club in Cozumel during a cruise stop and had a fantastic experience…read more The beach club is about a 15-20 minute taxi ride from the cruise port where the ships dock. When we got off the ship there was a line of taxis ready to go and the ride cost $20 for two people one way. When we arrived, the staff greeted us and guided us to the front desk where we checked in for our reservation. I highly recommend making a reservation ahead of time because it definitely helps expedite your entrance. One thing worth noting is that when we booked online it didn't show cabanas available, but when we arrived the host checked and was able to get us into one. I highly recommend getting a cabana if one is available because it gives you a nice private area to relax. That said, there are also plenty of tables with covered umbrellas that provide shade from the sun. What really stood out about this place was the level of service. It was incredibly attentive. I honestly don't think we ever waited more than a few minutes before someone came by asking if we needed another drink or more food. Our servers were Juan and Pops/Eric and both of them were fantastic. It felt like every time I turned my head one of them was checking in to make sure we had everything we needed. They offer all-inclusive food and you can either go up to the buffet or order directly from the menu and have it delivered to your table or cabana. The property also has multiple pools, massage services, swim-up areas, and gift shops around the resort. At one point what appeared to be a manager came by and asked how we heard about the place and checked in on how our experience was going. That really reinforced how focused they are on service. The location is right on the beach so you get beautiful ocean views while enjoying unlimited food and drinks throughout the day. Overall Mr. Sancho's delivers a great beach day experience with excellent service and it's definitely a place I would visit again when returning to Cozumel.

Went here during port day of a Carnival cruise. I've been here already in the past and compared to…read moremy recent visit; this place is NOT how it used to be. I will more than likely NOT be back again. Before I begin my thorough review, I would like to call out JULIO who works the adult side pool bar. He was disgustingly rude to me and others during my visit. When I asked for 4 drinks and only received 3, I reminded him I had 1 more which he then yelled at me about "you're not the only one in the pool" which was crazy because I spoke politely and patiently waited to inform him I was missing a drink. Any chance he got to show attitude, HE DID. And TO ALL SKIN TONES AND RACES in the pool! Absolutely sad and ridiculous, I didn't even want to be in the pool anymore because of him. I will instead shout out CHISMAS for being absolutely kind and having great customer service on the other side of the bar where the swings were. He heard how Julio treated me and told me to only get my drinks from him instead and I'm thankful because he was kind, my drinks tasted better and he was a perfect bartender with great customer communication skills! Thank you Chismas! Now, upon arrival and paying for our day passes, staff were hasty and not as friendly as they once were. Even the taxi driver we had on the ride over from port was very minimal in conversation; maybe only said 2 words. I was hoping once we got to Mr sanchos the staff would be different, but they weren't; they were also minimal in conversation, rude, and basically just trying to move us along. When we finally found OUR OWN table with shade (no help from any staff at all) it took over 40 mins to finally get a waiter to even bring us menus or serve us. Yet, when a big party of white people came, they were shifting around tables and chairs trying to take over the little area we were in and immediately were given menus and serviced by a waiter. Mind you, we also had a big group with us and all the staff were making it seem like a big deal for us to have a large table/accommodating area and didn't want us to move any tables or chairs...interesting, right? Don't worry tho because we didn't let the other large party take over the area and we happily moved tables to accommodate us, just as they did :) The menu they have now is significantly smaller than it used to be. One side of drinks and just one side of food. Wow. Food was alright, I tried the buffet and ordered off the menu; nothing to rave about at all. I feel like the whole vibe of this place has just went down and the quality does not match the price as being worth it. This looks like it'll be my last time coming to Mr Sancho's; I'll be going to one of the other newly built all inclusive beaches next time in Cozumel port. This experience SUCKED 2/10 (2 points strictly for Chismas the bartender).

Local restaurateurs have risen to the challenge of using it as a menu item, which is a win-win situation for all, (except the Lionfish). It is EXTREMELY tasty. This restaurant seems to cater mostly to the locals, but they were quite friendly to us American tourist.-types You can pay in American dollars or Mexican pesos with no worries. Now the ambiance is not fancy, but the food is so good, I really didn' t care. It's an open-walled corrugated-iron roofed patio with a full bar, and a flat screen television. Our meal came with complimentary grouper cerviche, seafood sopa de lima, chips and salsa and some lovely green hot sauce. My husband had the deep fried Lonfish and I had the Shrimp Diablo. The soup and cerviche were excellent as was the rest of our meal. The waitstaff was cordial and welcoming, even given our lack of Spanish.
