Branding themselves as a 'non-edible bakery', Oh Deer Sugar produces fabulous bath and body products that smell and look good enough to eat.
The business, which has been around the Adelaide market scene for a little while now, and has a strong social media presence, with almost 20,000 devoted doe lovers on Instagram. So when news started a-buzzing that the gals behind ODS had secured a CBD store through the Renew Adelaide project, Adelaide fans were stoked.
With bath bombs, body scrubs, bubble bars, face masks, bath melts, body butter and chocolate bar soaps being all a part of the standard offer, Oh Deer Sugar also produce small batch 'Bakery Board' specials once a week. These are available in-store, and usually live on their online store too - which offers international and domestic shipping.
As someone who prefers showers over baths, my favourite offerings are definitely the (Oh) Peachy Keen Chocolate Bar Soap, (Oh) Exfoliator strawberry & coconut body scrub and the (Oh) Assassin Chai & Peach body scrub... which smells like gingerbread! Uggghhh it's sooooo good!
The quality of the product Oh Deer Sugar produce is outstanding. Owned by two vegan girls, this is clearly a passion project, with all the ODS creations being 100% vegan and cruelty free. They also use roundtable sustainable palm oil.
The instore experience is awesome, being able to smell all the deliciousness makes it so hard not to buy one (or more) of everything! The smell instore is not overpowering though, unlike the similar category massive international brand that we shan't dare mention. What I will say though is that, what that other unmentionable brand has on Oh Deer Sugar is the service. The gals at ODS are absolutely lovely, but I think they could gain more sales and make people feel more comfortable instore by coming out from behind the counter, giving people demonstrations, or chatting to customers about their needs. That is really the only constructive feedback I can give. I however personally love to roam solo, which is why they still gave 5 stars.
