I've used Ogle for all types of services including facials, eye lash tabs, makeup application, hair color, styling, and even hair extensions. You have to put more effort into your appointment than you would at other salons, since you're dealing with students. But as long as you're specific and vocalize exactly what you want and need, the students and instructors work hard to meet your expectations. I have been less than satisfied with my service a few times, but nothing that can't be dealt with. And I keep coming back. read more

I usually go for facials. They use the dermatologica products which I like. It really is hit or miss. You can have a great person that has been there a while or a new person that has no clue. Services have run the spectrum of wonderful to really bad. With my last three services two were not so hot. But one was great. I am torn about whether I will go back. It's a facial. You slather on a bunch of stuff. It's not complicated but forgetting little things like turning the light off ruin it. I spent half of the facial with lights in my eyes. I figure three stars is appropriate as the service is inconsistant. read more

I go to Jordan at Ogle School for a haircut once a month. She always does a great job and I have been pleased with the results. Last Friday she she added low lights to my hair before the cut, and results are superb. I like that she always talks with me before starting to ensure that she understands what I want and I understand what she plans to do. The instructors are very attentive to what their students are doing and offer coaching as needed. Ogle is turning out some exceptional cosmetologists. I would give the place 0 stars if I could , I went in on a scheduled appointment , the girl was not confident in doing my type of hair and I still gave the girl several chances to get comfortable and simply just do my hair , wash , dry and thermal . My hair is course but it's not the worse type of hair at all . Anywho she attempted to wash my hair , it wasn't a pleasant wash , it was an improper wash , therefore I nicely asked her could she wash it again , every time I nicely asked this girl something she would go get the supervisor as if I was asking for too much , she was really the rude one , but wanted to play victim ! so I asked the supervisor could I have someone who was more comfortable dealing with my hair type , I was not rude , or mean about anything that I said to these people yet this girl walked off and tried to cry to the other staff as if I did something wrong to her , then the supervisor comes over to me and he was rude , saying " she's my main concern and customer like I did something to her , and I did nothing at all to this little girl , I was shocked and I could have acted very out of character but I just grabbed my things and left , I will never go back to this place again , the supervisor was unprofessional and immature , he automatically took her side without even trying to be a supervisor , he too busy trying to take sides and didn't fix not one issue at hand . read more

I had an amazing color done by Jessika I am going in again for more...and due to recent posts There is No Segregation that I saw! Another thing to remember these girls Dont have a clientele built up yet most of the work is on friends and family...so that's why you see a lot of black girls doing black women's hair its probably their family...when I was there everyone was great and equal mix between stylists and clients...sheesh people!! read more

I have been getting my hair done here for a couple years and love it. Today I also thought I'd try getting an eyebrow tint since it was recommended on a previous visit. I did it today since I was going away to celebrate my anniversary. In addition I got my eyebrows waxed. They did a great job on the wax but the tint left me with scary results... meaning they are SO DARK. I wasn't asked what tint color I wanted and so my light complexion and hair color now has these crazy dark brows. I'm embarrassed to take pictures on my trip read more

I wish there was a way to give this place no stars! The wait was too long and it took them 4 hours to dye my hair and then they charged me $10 extra because i had 'extra long hair' when my hair is shorter than elbow length. I went in for a trim for $9 and they tried to up sell me an extra $10 for flat ironing with out telling me it would cost extra. I'm broke so thats why I went to a beauty school!! Don't try to rape me on the price! I complained to a snotty manager lady and was only charged $9. However the guy who I had hurt me he used too much pressure when the scalp massage part of the shampooing was happening and pulled my hair out when drying it with the round brush my haircut is a hack job! I came out of there looking like the before pic. of a makeover I cried a lot and vowed never again will I go there!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! EVER!!!!!! I will not be returning to this school. I Made an appointment and I specifically asked for someone with experience with Black hair. Not only was this request not granted, the poor thing had just started at the school. I got a roller set; it took her over 4 hours. Even for a student it should not take that long all of that being said I am not upset with her and she is not the reason I will not be returning. My hair turned out "okay" considering that it was her first go round. I will not be returning because they ignored my request then charged me triple ($18) the going rate for a roller set; claiming that because it was the weekend it was considered a special style. If I'd wanted to pay that much for a roller set I would have gone to a professional salon, been out in half the time and had my hair turn out better than just "okay". read more

I have gone to the Ft Worth Ogle for facials for several years. While the person doing my facial was polite and did a very good job, I left wondering if policies had been changed since my last visit. There was no introduction, no explanation of the procedure to get ready for the facial, no eye make up removal, no hand massage, and lasted about 45 minutes instead of an hour. As I was leaving, there was a complaint about hair services that was not being dealt with very well. We all have "off" days and I am hoping that was the case today. read more

Absolutely do not go here. I am a grad student and tried to save $$ by getting a trim at a training institute. It was a horrible experience- all of the stylists, receptionists, etc. were unfriendly. The student who cut my hair cut it unevenly, half blow dried my hair, and called it a day. I am getting it fixed at a real salon ASAP. Save your $9. read more

I have been to this salon twice in hopes of getting my hair colored. The first time I went in as a strawberry blonde, hoping to get back to my more natural color, medium blonde. We select the medium blonde hair color and the stylist goes to work. At the end of the appointment, my hair is a dark chocolate blonde- definitely not the color I chose. I kind of liked it, so I kept it. Over the next two months the color faded back to strawberry blonde. I went in again today to get it colored (hopefully) to medium blonde like I had originally wanted, with the addition of partial highlights. I told the (different) stylist how the last time it had turned out too dark. She consulted her instructor and they decided that the same color with a "warm" undertone would do the trick. When the color was done, the only thing that looked good was the highlights! The hair color was entirely too dark, exactly like the last time, except this time I am dark brown with blonde highlights! I look like a skunk. As soon as I was done with the shampoo my stylist apologetically said "it will lighten with washes.." I am so disappointed. I do however give 2 stars instead of one because the dye job was a good one, regardless of it being the wrong color. read more

I came in today to get a hair trim for my daughter and I. My daughter was done with her wash and trim in about 15 min and it was just like she asked an inch and half. Me on the other hand took 2 hours we got there at 8 pm and left at 10:15 pm. Not only did the supervisor have to come fix my hair, it was not a trim. He cut more like 6 inches when I asked for 2 inches just to trim the ends. He them put a whole bunch of short layers in my hair and I even said that the top layer was really short. My hair was down to the middle of back and had some long layers and all I asked was a trim all the way around. My hair ended at my shoulders with short layers from the top down. I spoke with the night manager and she offered a deep condition which wouldn't benefit me because all my hair is gone. I understand these are students and that is why I only went for a simple trim, but even a student knows how much 2 inches is,he just kept cutting and cutting even after I interrupted him and said it was getting way to short and by the look of all the hair on the floor it was clearly visible that was more than 2 inches. At that point since he had cut so much off the top and it looked like I had a mullet, the supervisor came and had to cut even more just to even it all out. Then the student said he was I instructed one way and the supervisor said he shouldn't be doing it that way. You would think with this being a school that the teacher's all taught the correct way. Never again, will I get a haircut here again. read more
