Love my hair, the cut and color. Wondeful service and going back for the signature 5.00 facial tomorrow. Denton ogle is my favorite location

I decided to give Ogle a try, I am sorry I did. I went in to lighten to my hair, came out looking yellow. It started when I arrived and was told I would be given 50% off for my services, a coupon was attached to the top of the sheet. Carla introduced herself and told me again, I would be given 50% off. I agreed. I told Carla I wanted my hair lighter and I heard the word "bleach". I said I wanted it lighter and did not want to look like Gwen Stefani. She told me I wouldn't, it wasn't that kind of bleach. Ms. T consulted with her and again, the word "bleach". I reiterated, I wanted my hair lighter in a subtle way, not Gwen Stefani. Again, not that kind of bleach. Ok. Then Ms. T told me I was not eligible for the 50% off after being told by 2 other people there I was. So my cost my $73.00. We proceeded, not only was my hair not being timed by Carla, but she disappeared for a while and Ms. T had to go and get her stating, "we don't leave clients". She eventually returned and said my hair was "lifting" well. I voiced I was concerned about the color as it was pineapple yellow. Neither Carla nor Ms. T appeared to be concerned. It was yellow. Everyone told me how beautiful it was, no, it was ugly and I told them that. They told me I could come back and they could put some toner in it as they were about to close. I asked for a cut as well, Carla starting cutting, then Ms. T came over to "fix it". I left, not to go back out in public for a couple of days, literally. I found another hairstylist who managed to tone it down a little. She also showed me that my right side was about 2 inches shorter than my left, so she had to fix that as well. As the days wore on, the last toner was fading and I decided to go with a box. Best decision ever as I figured if my hair fell out, I would get a wig. Never will I darken their door, nor refer anyone there. I'm out $250, when the $8 box did what was needed, lesson learned. I don't want to hear from anyone at Ogle, just want people to know. I would give a negative star if I could. read more

I went here because I was recommended by a friend because of the good services and cheap prices. I scheduled a mani-pedi, makeup, and prom specialty style. The pedicure was below average, and the manicure was average. The makeup was also alright, except they cannot put mascara on because of hygiene reasons. I asked for a beach wavy style and instead was left with tangly curls and still damp hair, that was encrusted with hairspray. Obviously, as it was right before prom, I was stressed and immediately called my salon that highlights my hair. Cloud Nine Salon saved the day, after being extremely disappointed in this school. read more

I went in knowing it won't be perfect there will be mess ups but it went horrible. I went in for a cut and color at 1030 left at 230!!! 4 hours! I had hair down to my waist long and wanted a longer bob look and she cut above my shoulders! I chose a color medium brown and it came out pretty much as black brown as you can get. The girl only has two months before she is done and her instructor still had to fix the uneven parts at the end. I also ended up wth color stained all over my forehead face neck and ears she try to clean off four different times and still sent me home with it all over me. I had to take rubbing alcohol to myself at home to get it mostly off. read more

I always get my hair cut here- it's inexpensive and they do a good job. Sure it takes a bit of time but you have to remember that it's a school not a high end salon. read more

I went for the first time to get my roots touched up a couple of weeks ago, I saw Lizette (sp?) she was quiet, but friendly and polite! She did a great job ! I was so happy with my experience I am going back tonight for some more color work!! I went in to get a pre consultation before booking tonight, the front desk ladies were SUPER helpful and thoroughly explained to me the process and how long it would take. I just recently got my second hair cut here. My first one I was a model for the "short layer " hair cut and it ended up a mullet. So I let it grow out a bit and asked for a new stylist and I got a much better student to was super sweet and did exactly what I wanted and was friendly. When I came in for a consultation, Brandy was very aggressive with me and about my hair. She seemed so put out with dealing with me and my difficult hair. She quoted me $90 because she said my hair is going to require alot more than what I originally came in for. I even showed her the product and how my old stylist did my hair and she was rude to me when she said you didn't carry the product and so I asked her for her suggestions and boy was she put out by that. Made me and A,nnie uncomfortable. I almost left honestly. So I decided because I liked my A,nnie and wanted to give her a chance I came in the next morning at 9am. Then there's my angel Karen, she came over we talked about my hair I showed her the text from old stylist and told her what happened and she of course apologized and made a plan on what to do with my hair. She was professional, helpful, kind and humble to my situation. A, nnie was more at ease. A, nnie is sweet, professional and took this situation and made it a positive experience. Worst of worst. Boyfriend and I went for a haircut and we had to go to another hair salon right after. 2hrs for a simple haircut. Inexperience stylist and poor supervision and management. They do not care about customers and even for the price $9. Still worst cut ever. Some parts were very low cut almost shaved off, others had varying lengths. He had to shave it off! No exaggeration. You are lucky you didn't get sued or blasted as he calmed me down. Never ever ever again. Do not go. Do not go. Unless you want to be a guinea pig. I mean school or not, minimum should be met. Wish I would have read the reviews. I'm black and wear my hair natural. I went for a wash and flat iron, should have noticed the students' heads and ran out of the door. They are not knowledgable at all about afro american hair as their practice tools are heads of straight flowing hair. Long story short, I left with my hair matted like a doll and still had to pay for the incomplete service.The student was very kind, but the teacher wasn't so kind when I refused to allow the student to finish my hair. And to my surprise Jason is actually trained in the spa at ogle he does microdermabrasions treatments and facials ! I used to go here to get my natural hair washed and straightened. Which could be quite time consuming so I didn't mind paying or waiting the allotted time. One of the last times I came here, I got a manicure done and the polish was OFF the next day, for my bridal portraits. The absolute last time I came here, I was getting my hair done for my maternity photos. A blow out and straighten. The student was trying her best. A director named Mrs./Miss Brown would not leave us alone. She would make snide comments, such as "if this was a regular salon, you'd be paying, such and such amount." Well it isn't a regular salon and that's why I come to the school to get quality and affordability. She did that my whole two hour appointment. When I asked to speak to someone after, no one could help me. I also emailed corporate and the school to no avail. I don't like to be bothered or heckled when I get my hair done. And she kept passing around and doing it. So I have not been back. read more
