The communication right from the beginning was very well done. Students work the phones, the front desk, and do all of the services. There are instructors on the floor that the students can go to for help. Keep in mind that because it's a school, the work will most likely take longer because they are learning and have questions. But it is obvious that the students want to do their best. I had a service that none of the students had seen before, a braid perm. They kept coming by to see how it was done. I was so impressed with their level of excitement about learning a new process. And my cosmetologist, B, was awesome!!! She was on her feet for almost 6 hours straight and had a great attitude! It was her first perm, let alone one she had never heard of. And her fellow students jumped in whenever she needed help. Are you kidding me?! I had a perm starting at 2pm in which the students and instructors during the day shift were wonderful! When it came time for the evening and the 1st solution applied to my hair and rods for the perm, I was forgotten and the solution which should have only been 20 minutes, 50 minutes later was finally washed out. Needless to say the student then started to take out the rods without applying the 2nd solution until I pointed out to her what needed to be done. No help from any instructors in the evening, even though they were clearly leaning up against the wall, talking and I expressed frustration about the perm, instructors did nothing! Evening instructors at this location are deceitful unfortunately. If you can make your hair appointment in the day, do so! read more

I was pleasantly surprised. I tried getting a haircut and wasn't expecting much but also didn't do anything drastic. Have been going for a year now to get my hair colored, cut and permed. I've only been disappointed in the washing out of my color. Every person except one is so afraid to scrub the color out. I go home with black color all over the back of a wet shirt every time. Last time the music was so inappropriate. F-bombs in several songs and there were little kids there. On March 19th I showed up to my appointment at 9:30AM, I was sat down with my student and an instructor (Miss.T) for consultation. I showed them exactly what I wanted in photos. The instructor handed me a paper and pointed at the cost and told me to sign off on the additional color cost. Nothing else was said and the instructor told me to enjoy my service. Hours later I'm completely bleached 3ins from my roots to my tips. During the process, they said one side was developing slower. It took so long that the students had to take a 30 minute break and told me to come back at 1:45PM. When I returned we did another consultation on color and the instructor (Miss.T) came over to approve the situation again only this time I was worried about how yellow my hair color was. I not only expressed to the student this concern, but I spoke with the instructor at the time about what I felt was going to happen. (The purple would cancel out the yellow bleach job and the pink would turn red) Despite my constant warnings, I entrusted the instructor to know what she was doing and that the color would come out the way I wanted. During the entire process I continued to show the photo over and over again to ensure the student was confident. Up until the wash out I was confident she had done a decent job. Sure enough the color wasn't as vibrant during the color session and I began to silently panic. As my student scrambled to find another instructor, she was told to wait, ignored and finally brushed off. I believe this instructors name was (Judy). We continued rinsing it out but my student began to panic and was left helpless. The clock was ticking and it was down to blowdrying and cutting. Unfortunately at 5:30PM her shift was beginning to leave. Soon another instructor rudely came over and didn't help the situation. (She had red curly hair with an East Coast accent) She kept pestering the student asking her why it was taking so long and what I wanted and only made the situation worse. At this point I was silently in shock and crying. The instructor was roughly brushing my hair and cutting my hair so quickly that it put myself in more shock as I was left speechless. As I finally gained the courage to show the instructor what I wanted and what had happened, she scoffed and kept telling me how pretty the red was and didn't understand why I was so upset when I WANTED BRIGHT PURPLE AND PINK STREAKS WITH A DARK ROOT! The instructor was so inconsiderate and refused to acknowledge anything bad about the entire hairstyle. Soon the instructor (Judy) finally came over and seen how upset I was and took action. I told her how upset I was and how this was nothing that I wanted. At this time they were trying to hunt down Jenna, the Assistant Director of the school to speak with me. I told both (Judy) and Jenna that I wanted a refund from the beginning because the only thing they wanted to to do for me was re-do the hair only a couple days after bleaching. When I spoke to Jenna alone, little sympathy was given and she used her own hair as an excuse (patchy green/blonde hair) to justify that it was my hairs fault and that color is unpredictable. She also told me I would be able to come back on Monday or when I felt comfortable to fix my hair with the same people and a student. Again I told her from the start that I didn't want to pay for this, but she told me I had to pay for it and come back in on Monday if I wanted anything done about it. I didn't feel comfortable relying on the same people to correct this problem but after over 8 hours of destroying my hair and receiving no sympathy or compassion, I gave in and left with an appointment for Monday at 9:30. On Monday I called right when they opened at 9:00AM to reschedule this appointment because my hair is still fried and I'm worried about damaging it even more. The lady at the desk told me I had to be rebooked by tomorrow otherwise it wouldn't be considered a redo and I'd have to pay for them to fix their mistake! So at this point I was lied to by Jenna the Assistant Director because I remember that being her only "comfort" she gave me which was to "come back when I was ready". I told Jenna once again that I wanted a REFUND because I didn't trust in her instructors to only guide a student to correct this mess when that's what got me here in the first place. I was told I could return tomorrow or get store credit. So here I am keeping my promise. I will post reviews and spread awareness because the Instructors and Directors of this School have no business teaching hair or bedside manners. I truly hope these students become someone greater than their so called teachers and mentors. I DO NOT BLAME THE STUDENT AT ALL, but the staff that should have been guiding these girls failed at their jobs and that is why I'm upset. I came in yesterday afternoon while I was passing by this school and was heading myself to the Golden Triangle Mall to kill some time waiting on my friends. Came into the school out of curiosity. I always going to beauty school for the affordable services. I guess I was willing to take the risk that day. I decided to get a 'Spa Pedicure' and a 'Spa Facial' service. Two different students were assigned to me. One student for my 'Spa Pedicure' and one student for 'Spa Facial'. When you think of getting a 'Spa Pedicure' you think of the tub for your feet. Your callus and cuticles being cleaned up. You think of the term 'RELAXing'. I didn't experience any of that. I was holding up my own legs, trying to balance them on a stool. Was on a chair not attached to any type of tub. The paint removing part took 20 whole minutes. She didn't even finish the actual process. The paint job itself was not very clean either. My 10 year old cousin could of done a better job. She seem like she had no experience in the actual service. It was a waste of $13 for the 'Spa Pedicure'. I don't recommend this service to ANY one. Although I did not have a good view of the school, I ended the day off at Olge School on a positive note. I was very relaxed during my 'Spa Facial'. I took a little nap while was there. She lacked the massage aspect and she talked too much during my session. Although she was very knowledgeable with the skin aspect. She needed to present herself in a more professional way though. $21 for a 'Spa Facial' was well worth it. It took a little longer for the students to take care of everything and set up for the appointment. The original two hour appointment dragged on to three hours. The instructors were lazy and didn't really check up on the students working on their clients like they were used to. I'm used to going to beauty schools and getting critiqued. Teachers were having their own conversations in the back room instead of working. One of the students did say that the teachers were very easy-going and so she didn't learn anything from them. I might try it out one more time. Just won't be going in for nail services for sure. read more

I've gone to OGLE for occasional facial treatments. I tell ya... those students know their stuff! In my humble opinion, it's a reflection of the teachers. While getting a facial service, the esthetic teacher (I think her name is Mrs.Florez, she talked with a Latin accent) came by, looked over the students shoulder, whispered some long technical terms for acne and different kinds of moles (at least that's the impression I got), then the student explained to me what those technical terms were... Yes, I really understood... just please, don't ask me to repeat it. I'm looking forward to my next visit to OGLE. read more

Can't comment on the quality of cosmetology services there since I couldn't arrange them. I called hoping to schedule a shampoo, blow dry and style. Was hoping for 8:30 pm. Online info shows their hours as closing at 10. The lady who answered the phone said they needed to schedule it no later than 8 pm, so I agreed and provided my info. They called me back at 5:30 pm, saying they wanted to reschedule for 7 or 6 and there was no way they could see me any later than 7:30. Apparently they need two and a half hours for a shampoo blow dry and style? I wound up cancelling my appointment, but be advised this is how the place is run. read more
