Do NOT use this drycleaners! i never post, but i left this place so angry today when i went to discuss the black silk skirt that i picked up and it was damaged on both sides. The part i found the most disgusting is that after being a good paying neighborhood customer for the past couple of years, they offered me nothing for the damages, not even dry cleaning credit. As a matter of fact, they claimed i brought the skirt in like that! ridiculous! The girl who works at the counter is an awful, angry, nasty bitch too. She must have it out for people in our neighborhood who drive up in a nice car with an armful of expensive clothing... she was rude, insulting and downright nasty she is also a bold faced liar! She had the audacity to say my skirt was old, and when i brought it in it looked like that. I had I only worn it 3 times maximum!! i was bringing it for a refresh as it was wrinkled and needed an ironing. didn't have any stains on it all. If you have nice things and want a professional dry cleaner. Stay away from ogden cleaners!! These people should not even have a license to do business. photos are from the damage to my skirt which happened to be a $400 rag and bone silk that i really,really loved. Sadly, they still charged me full price for the cleaning even though they denied ever having the dress in the first place. I politely asked for a discount for the inconvenience. I would avoid this place. I recently brought in some pants for a routine dry cleaning. They not only failed to clean the stain but whatever they did actually made the stain worse. And to add insult to injury they insisted on charging for their failure because they had spent time trying (but failing) to clean the spot. This is ridiculous. If you go through their reviews you'll see that the most recent reviews are very negative. The positive ones appear to be more than 3 years ago. A very bad sign. read more

I use this cleaners to shorten my jeans. Seamstress made my jeans longer than I asked for and when I asked her to redo it, she said not a problem but when I came up to pick them up I was charged a full $20 again. Originally when I called in for prices I was told to shorten jeans would cost me $16 but when I came in I was told it's $20. She made a mistake and yet they made me pay double to redo my jeans. This is unacceptable and I'm just letting everybody know. Be very mindful before you leave your clothes for Alterations in this business. read more

I've been coming here for years and very surprised at the terrible service I received recently. I hesitated posting this review as I'm a supporter of local family businesses but my recent experience is was unprofessional and unacceptable. A work shirt I brought for dry cleaning was pressed but never washed as it reeked of sweat and body odor. When I dropped it off they informed me they would redo it free of charge and later I find out they actually expected me to pay again. Then the items I was dropped off for same day service that I needed for my morning flight the next day, actually wouldn't be ready for a few days. I even confirmed with 2 people that it would be ready before 4pm. All they said: sorry...pickup later this week and pay full price. Ogden's on Montana. I brought a suit jacket here to be cleaned as it smelled of body odor. I picked it up, paid for it, and it still smelled so I brought it back and asked them to do it again. The clerk explained to me that if it didn't come out the first time, it wouldn't help to have it cleaned again and that it was never going to come out now wtf? Terrible customer service. If you need anything tailored, you must bring your clothes to Ogden's and meet their seamstress, May! May does a fantastic job with custom garments, as well as basic alterations like dress and pant hems. What a hard worker and she always greets you with a smile. Need a unique alteration? My husband is missing his left leg and gets all of his pants tailored by May at Ogden's. He provided her with a drawing explaining how he would like the alterations done and she gets it right 100% of the time. Tailored clothes look better on everyone and I love that my husband can get the pants he needs. Very reliable. Parking lot. Great coffee shops nearby. Pro Tips: - Bring your clothing to May for custom alterations! - If you need your shoes cleaned, bring them in for a touch-up (i.e. $10 for sneakers and $28 for leather/suede). - Be very clear up front for a pricing quote and get it in writing for a unique article like shoes or accessories. The owner is not flexible on pricing even when I was quoted something different upon drop-off. I had a misunderstanding last week on the price for suede, but was given a $3 discount when I picked up. - Comforters are ~$30 for a great cleaning! read more

I love this place. It's a block from where I live, a block from where I work - so it's that 'Happy Medium' for me. I've been to a few dry cleaners in Santa Monica which are insanely overpriced and I actually inspect my clothe to see if it's been sprinkled in gold for the price I paid - it never is. Ogden's on the other hand is very reasonable and they open super early which is a huge plus. On some occasions I've picked up my dry cleaning, and the same stains I initially took my suits in for will still be there - so I will be furious in that moment, yet they will always redo it without a hassle. That actually in my book deducts a star, but the main thing that took this review over the top is May. May is my girl. There was a time I clearly recall that I was putting on a dress for an event I was having that evening, when lo and behold I heard a loud bang of fabric tearing. I glanced in the back and the fabric on my behind came apart right at the seam. I swear I don't have that fat ass Kardashian booty (though I wish I did), but this dress apparently was cheaply made. God bless that Kardashian woman though (as much as I can't stand her) because it's a wonder all her clothe don't rip at the seams from her amazing fat behind. So back to my dress because I think the Kardashian monster ass gets enough spot light as is - the dress rips, I freak out and run to Ogden's figuring maybe they can help me. I ran in there shaking, pale as the white sheets I saw hanging in there that they just dry cleaned. I couldn't even speak I was so freaked out. I just muttered words in no specific order "dress, rip, hole, event, screwed....help". May, who is the alteration chick here told me not to worry, and that she can fix my dress and have it ready in 20 minutes and told me to chill out. I went to get a smoothie down the street trying to calm my nerves and when I came back my dress was good and ready. 5 stars for that alone. Serious life saver. Today I received my dress for New Years, and lo and behold it came defective - just my damn luck. Bebe - get it together - seriously. Anyway - with not enough time to send it back - I ran next door to see my girl May. Piece of cake for her - the dress was done in a few hours. May - you are a blessing to Ogden's. Any time my stupid clothe rips I know you will be there to save the day. I never write reviews, but my experience at Ogden's was so unsettling that I wish for no one to have the same experience as I did. As a new resident of North of Montana, I took five articles of clothing to get altered by the alterations specialist. When I received my clothing back, they were all ruined. The work she did was sloppy, crooked, and the hems were unraveling. I gave her the clothing back to redo, and the second time was even worse. She clearly did this in a rush, and she didn't finish the stitch on some pieces. In fact, when I was in there, a button fell off the shirt she worked on, and she told me to pay her $1.50 to fix the button. I spoke to the alterations specialist about her work, and she agreed to refund me if she could "rerip the clothing". That is, she wanted to undo the work she did in order for a refund. I then spoke to the manager, who asked me to bring in the clothing. I went in several times, but he was nowhere to be found. When I finally got a hold of him, he told me he could give me 10% off future dry cleaning, and that this was an issue between myself and the alterations specialist to "work out". When I explained that I won't be using his company in the future, he told me that I was wasting his time, and that he would reconsider a refund for a five star yelp review. Nothing was done about the faulty work, or the confrontational and overly defensive attitude. I would highly recommend spending a bit more money, and going to a place that guarantees their work. Unfortunately for me, I will be paying double to undo the job that Ogdens had done. read more

They never called to let me know it wasn't going to be ready and I needed it for a wedding. They were rude and never even apologized for it. In fact they were laughing about it. I have a discount card from there that I bought from a sweet old man so I decided to try it out. Yes, the clothes are clean. I am sorry that my work shirts are too small to fit on your press so that you had to hand press them. A phone would have been nice before you upcharged me from $3 to $7 per shirt for 3 shirts I only wear once maybe twice a year. I would have just thrown them in the wash then had the hotel press them next year before my work show that I wear them at... that would have been cheaper. So far I am not impressed. read more

DO NOT trust your clothes with Ogden's. I brought in a $200 dress from Guess that I had purchased in Italy. Dry Cleaning Only recommended. It was primarily a white fabric dress with some black accents. When I went to pick it up the "white" was now beige and looked dirty. Their response was that it was the manufacturer's fault that the black bleed into the white, destroying the dress. After the fact they said that this is not uncommon and basically, "sorry" but there is nothing we can do. There was no forewarning that this could be a possibility. I was handed back my favorite, beautifully-made dress unwearable. Zero responsibility. Zero compensation. Bad customer service. read more

On the positive, they'll match coupons from other, more expensive cleaners, making their prices pretty good for the area. On the negative, they failed to re-dry clean three shirts (out of 20 pieces I had cleaned) that they had done a poor job on because I was outside of the normal time period for re-cleaning - a time period I was never briefed on. As a new customer, I asked that they make an exception for me this one time and re-clean the three shirts that were visibly still dirty - I was told I could wait until next week to speak with the manager, who was out of town. On the whole, none of the pieces I had cleaned by Ogden's were stellar and, on top of that, their customer service is poor. There are plenty of other fish in the sea! read more

Short version: Do not use this cleaners. --- Medium version: Do not use this cleaners because they will f-up your clothes, blame you and refuse to take responsibility. -- Long version: I used this cleaners for over a year with so-so results. I liked them because they were the least expensive options on Montana, but more importantly they would use my reusable laundry bag instead on placing my clothes in plastic which some of the other cleaners on the street refused to do. They never did a great of getting stains out but I'm a dude so perfect cleaning is not high on my priority list. Several weeks ago they shrank a cashmere sweater. I'm not talking about a little shrinkage, I'm talking about it being too small on my girlfriend who weights 60 pounds less than I do. I assumed that since I brought all my suits, shirts, girlfriend's dresses, sweaters, etc. there and regularly spent $$ that they would say, "we're sorry this happened. we'll give you a little credit." Instead, they refused to take responsibility, blamed me and offered to stretch my sweater back to size. I let them take a shot at it and the results were crap. So I spoke with the owner this morning who again insisted that it was my fault and still refused to apologize. Bye Bye Ogden's. I've been coming here for the last 2 years since I moved to Santa Monica, and I won't go anywhere else. Everyone that works here is kind and honest, and the prices are fair. Ogden's does a terrific job! May, the tailor at Ogden's, is also amazing. I recently ordered a very expensive dress for a wedding, and it arrived the day before the wedding and was way too long. Customer beware! They can do a good job cleaning and have a quick turnaround, however they are pretty pricey and don't usually follow directions! They've ruined a couple pieces of my clothing and when I came in with specific directions for something else, they ignored my request to only ruin that piece as well. The only nice thing about this place is the sweet woman, May, that works on alterations. Unfortunately, I will not be going back here...even though it is most convenient to my home. This place is ok. It's within walking distance from the apartment, and they clean in a timely manner. i've only had my pants (work pants), and a dress dry-cleaned, and so far it's been decent. They clean in 24 hours, and their slogan is "drop off before 9 am, and get your clothes back by 5 (or 6?)". I never need my items the day off, so that doesn't matter too much. But that's good business practice. Prices are ok, especially since it is on Montana. about $5-6 per pants, and dress was almost $10. Until they do me (or my clothes) wrong, i think i will keep coming. It is easy to find, and there is a lot- which is rarity on Montana. read more

Went back and requested the work to be done. told there would be a charge (rudely, by May) Then when I was not pleased, the manager told me he would pay me $400 for a good yelp review and only after 5 stars would she do the $10 repair. This was obviously manipulation. Finally, I added a tip with 5 stars after MUCH pondering. I have been coming here for a while now and I love this place. So long as I live here I will always go here. A lot of other dry cleaners charge a fortune for a two piece suit but here they only charge 15 bucks for mine and our giant comforter is 30 bucks very nice pricing. The staff is very friendly they have never messed up what I have brought them and they do a extremely professional job of it all. They are always very fast I drop off one day pickup the next just works great. I don't need my stuff back in a hour or single day. Absolutely appalling service. 3 separate times I have come in to speak to the tailor after she's messed up on my items and she's 3 times now hide in the back staff room refusing to come out and talk to me about the damage or offer me a refund or to at least try and fix the damage for free. I've spent a lot of money here over the years and the staff won't even apologise for the damage done let alone refund me. My neighbour also recently told me she had 2 pant suits ruined by the tailor here and they treated her exactly the same. Do not use this tailor at any costs. Errors are made and nothing is done about it, they just tell you to get lost basically. Customer service here is beyond 0! And it is not a cheap service either.. high pricing and terrible service.
