We worked with Annie and had the best experience! We are not from the US but have family in the Bay Area so opted to get married at a favourite spot of ours and Annie made the process so easy to do via online calls and chats From the very first call she understood the vibe we were going for and we connected instantly Day so she was so friendly and professional and everything went to plan! Through our the process she guided us and provided us options and alternative ideas to consider when come v up with final ceremony and readings! Highly recommend!! read more

We were having difficulties finding an officiator through our church and only had 1 week before our wedding date to find someone to officiate our wedding. We then stumbled across Officially Hitched and got connected with Annie. She made what was a stressful moment extremely stress relieving. Her vocals at our ceremony were clear, said at a good pace and overall a well spoken reading of our script we created. I would absolutely recommend going through them they made this a pleasant simple and seamless experience. read more

Annie was the anchor of our ceremony, and we truly cannot imagine the day without her. The time and care she spent getting to know us and our love story translated so beautifully into the words she shared during our ceremony -- there was not a dry eye in the house. The thoughtfulness she brought to honoring our ancestors and land acknowledgment, the way she wove together how we met and the core values that guide us every day, all felt deeply personal and intentional. Her beautiful poetry and storytelling created space for both our Black and Jewish traditions and histories in a way that felt authentic, loving, and profoundly meaningful. Days later, we are still reeling from the magic of that day and so grateful Annie was the one who guided us through it. read more

Selecting Officially Hitched for our officiant needs was one of our best wedding vendor decisions. Rachael and her team were such a dream to work with. The process from start to finish was also easy and very streamlined. The consultation, script selection and day of our wedding all happened with such ease and clarity. Rachael held our hands through the whole process especially during our ceremony and we couldn't be more grateful. We highly suggest her for your future officiant needs. read more

Officially Hitched - Rachael as our ceremony Officiant. - Officiants Near Me

My wedding was so long ago, but I still remember everything about that day. Planning the wedding on our own we had time to make meaningful decisions and one of those being the most important- Who's going to marry you? When we first took a meeting with Rachael we knew it was her, she was the last officiant we met with and we instantly knew that the company she had founded and created herself was the one that would marry us. We were SO lucky to have her walk us through the process and give us pointers for an entire ceremony we had no idea where to even start from. We were lucky enough to get married in San Francisco City Hall which is beautiful in itself, but Officially Hitched has a built in package for City Hall weddings. It's a package that includes just the amount of customization, without a complete panic of trying to create a ceremony from scratch. Rachael makes it so easy to talk with her and really see how the ceremony will play out, I completely trusted her opinions and guidance. Rachael, THANK YOU for an incredible experience, and an even better ceremony. You would not believe how many of my guests came up to me and complimented the ceremony and just YOU in general. My apologies for how long this has taken me to get around to writing, but I truly want to thank you for everything you did, and for not leaving one dry eye untouched with your words, and presentation of Marcus and I's special day. I will be forever grateful for all of your support throughout this process. Thank you again. Cassie read more

If you are on the fence about whether to have a friend or family member officiate your ceremony vs hiring a professional, we would highly recommend the latter, specifically Rachael with Officially Hitched! With minimal meetings and time commitments, Racheal's process made the ceremony truly ours. Her process for intentionally asking the important questions (both in a couple of well-organized meetings and a thoughtful questionnaire) gleaned the nature of our personalities and meaningful and hilarious stories that truly drew in the guests. As many of our guests were friends of our parents or old friends we have not seen in years, Rachael's heart-warming ceremony played a key role in making each guest feel more connected to our love story as we headed into the reception and led to more meaningful conversations as we visited with guests throughout the evening. Officially Hitched uses a business model with streamlined processes, making planning the ceremony one of the most hassle-free parts of our planning process. Rachael has nailed her craft down to both an art and a science - we cannot recommend her business and heart-felt approach enough! read more

We had a wonderful experience working with the team at Officially Hitched and would 100% recommend them to couples looking for an officiant. We were paired with Mary who was so flexible, collaborative, and absolutely amazing to work with. She helped us refine our wedding ceremony script over a few sessions while also checking in via email and providing helpful prompts and materials for us to consider. The week before our ceremony, we connected one last time to practice and put any finishing touches on our script. On the day of our wedding, Mary kept us informed of her ETA and arrived promptly and ready to go! Mary is an absolute gem and we loved our experience with everyone at Officially Hitched! Thank you, all! read more

Officially Hitched was an amazing vendor to work with and made our wedding so unique and personal. We worked with Rachael to design our ceremony with a traditional structure, but added in touches that made it feel just right for us. Our ceremony was sacred to us, which is why we wanted a professional, but neither of us are religious and wanted to avoid those elements. She suggested readings, helped craft a message that emphasized our love, and edited our vows so we felt like we were delivering the exact message we wanted to each other. There wasn't a dry eye in the house by the time we walked back up the aisle. We were nervous about the idea of having to hire someone who didn't know us to perform our ceremony, but looking back it was 100% the right choice. Our guests kept complimenting us on how personal, joyful, and romantic our ceremony was. read more

We absolutely LOVED working with Rachael for our September 2022 wedding at the Palm Event Center.  The ceremony was one of our (and our guest's) favorite parts of the wedding. Rachael took the time to really get to know us as a couple beforehand and helped to craft a unique, custom, & wonderful ceremony. She was able to incorporate the personal elements that were so important to us in a seamless way. She was also incredibly helpful when it came time to trim down / finalize our vows. Many of our guests thought we knew Rachel personally - that says a lot about how well she customized and executed our ceremony. She is incredibly well-spoken - we feel so lucky to have found her for our special day. read more

We had the pleasure of having Matty officiate our 75-person City Hall wedding and couldn't be happier with the outcome! The process was fun and really helped take some stress off of us leading up to the day. We enjoyed completing our individual "love story" homework then coming together with each other and Matty to incorporate them into a script we chose with the Ready Made package. Matty did an awesome job expressing our story in the script and delivering it beautifully on our wedding day. Highly recommend Officially Hitched for a seamless experience. read more

We booked Rachael on a super short notice. She is very accommodating and generous with her knowledge. I love how she takes time and effort to get to know the couple prior to the ceremony and was very flexible with our requests. We just had a very simple wedding at the city hall and I'd love to have Rachael officiate our grand wedding ceremony in the future! read more

Rachael was such an amazing officiant and one of the best vendors we worked with during wedding planning. We knew we wanted to work with Rachael after the initial meeting - and we're so glad we did! We wanted a short, non-religious ceremony as we were eloping at City Hall with only a few guests. She listened to every request, and worked them beautifully into our ceremony. To begin, she provided us with plenty of examples to try and help us narrow down what we wanted, and then after we had a general idea, she created our ceremony, and guided us through it during a planning session and so wonderfully incorporated personal details from the questionnaire into our ceremony. Our guests commented on how wonderful Rachael was, and one of them said she wanted to hire her for her own wedding in the future! We can't thank Rachael and Officially Hitched enough for everything. Easily one of the best wedding planning decisions we made. read more

Rachael helped us out so much with what we needed for the ceremony. Was really a fantastic experience that she made even smoother with her calm demeanor, many years of experience, and flexible approach given some of our non-traditional elements. Couldn't have really asked for someone better to make our day really special, which is exactly what she did. Thanks so much. Trust me when I tell you that my family knows how to throw wrenches in a plan and literally 5 minutes before the ceremony people came in with songs they wanted to include as part of it. Rachael handled it all with so much poise and was such a problem-solver and trooper! read more

Racheal was such a pleasure to work with and so so so sweet!! She took her time getting to know my husband and I and what we wanted our wedding ceremony style to be. Rachael recently officiated our backyard mountain wedding. The entire planning experience was pleasant and resulted in a beautiful, poetic wedding ceremony. We selected the "Made to Measure" service which was perfect for our needs. Rachael really took the reins in guiding us through drafting our ceremony. Early working sesssions started with our general desires and the theme of the wedding. This was followed by specific questionnaires about our relationship and a first draft of the ceremony that was right on point. Some small edits brought this down to the final draft of the wedding. The entire process was collaborative and took a took a lot of worry out of the planning. The day of the wedding Rachael officiated the ceremony with eloquence and passion. It was wonderful. Officially Hitched is definitely worth the money if you are looking for a professional for your wedding. read more

Rachael performed our ceremony beautifully. She is very personable and everything went smoothly. We loved all the communication with her from start to finish. Would highly recommend. So sorry we didn't get to chat more as we were busy with the photographer. Thanks again Rachael! read more

Rachael was AMAZING! We held our wedding ceremony at San Francisco city hall and it wouldn't have been the same without her. Since day one she was professional, organized, and made the entire process very personable. Even though we didn't know Rachael prior to the wedding, her sincere and benevolent attitude made us both feel incredibly comfortable, almost as if we've known her our entire lives. In fact, many of our guests commented they thought we were long time friends. Rachael was knowledgable and was always there when we needed help all the way up until the special day. Her calming presence right before the ceremony was very much appreciated. We don't live in San Francisco and were grateful for how she would go above and beyond by providing directions/parking to recommendations for restaurants and activities. Our families were very impressed with how professional Rachael was as the officiant and felt the flow of our ceremony was perfect. They said she was genuine, had great projection, and overall was absolutely wonderful. Overall we would highly recommend Rachael, you won't regret it! read more

My husband and I traveled from New Hampshire to the Northern California coast to elope, truly just the two of us. We were both nervous about the search for an officiant from across the county, especially since they would be part of something so personal, but we found Rachael through our photographer and we are so glad that we did! She was incredibly friendly and helpful, she took the time to get to know us, to listen to what we wanted, and to write a ceremony that felt like it was written for us by a close friend or family member. Neither of us knew what we wanted in a ceremony, but Rachael was extremely organized and prepared and knew all of the right questions to ask to guide us through the process and take our ideas into consideration. We had two video calls with her, a questionnaire, a few emails, and that was all it took for her to craft something perfect for us! Very low stress, which is exactly what we wanted for our elopement. We had the best ceremony right by the ocean and we are so thankful that Rachael was able to make it feel so personal and special. read more

We're so grateful to have found Rachael! We got married at San Francisco City Hall in February. We had another officiant lined up initially but he had to drop out at the last moment for personal reasons. My wife found Rachael on Google and we were happy to find that she was willing to work with us only a month out from our wedding. The entire wedding planning process is quite stressful but Rachael put our minds at ease with how organized and professional she is, she's so personable it felt like being married by a close, personal friend. Rachael walked us step by step through the whole process but was also keen to accommodate our feedback. We didn't want to write our own vows, instead we picked vows from a list of scripts that describes our love and family perfectly; there were a few tweaks to the script that we wanted to make, Rachael was very flexible in being able to accommodate those tweaks. The pricing was very fair and we have no complaints with our experience. Thank you Rachael for making our wedding so perfect! Wedding planning is stressful and there's so many moving parts to account for, you really made this aspect of our wedding easy and fun. read more

We shouldn't pick favorites among our wedding vendors... but Racheal was probably our favorite person to work with during our whole process. She was incredibly personable, got to know us fairly deeply, and delivered a service that was memorable, poignant, and highly tailored to us as a couple. We had friends coming up to us and asking how long we've known Rachel, and others who texted us immediately afterwords to see if they could have her officiate their weddings. After strongly considering having a f&f officiant, we are beyond happy we chose Rachel, and we will recommend her to anyone. read more

We worked with Rachael Tanner at Officially Hitched and had a wonderful experience. She took the time to catch up with us and get to know us so she could get an idea of what we wanted for our ceremony. We were initially uncertain, but had a lot of adjustments and omissions that we wanted once we had a draft; Rachael was very flexible and considerate, and helped us figure out what worked best for us while helping us to figure out some additional details. At the event, she was prompt, helpful, and professional, and worked with the other vendors to get the details sorted out while my partner and I got ready. We're really glad we hired Rachael! read more

We truly loved working with Rachael in the process of creating our wedding ceremony. The ceremony was super important to us, and she has a suite of options tailored to every style of couple. Our package included virtual meetings where we refined the parts of the ceremony we wanted to highlight, and where she helped us streamline our thoughts into a script. She was available for advice and help and it never felt transactional, but rather that a friend who was good at writing was helping us out! The day of our wedding was perfect, and so many of our guests came up to us raving about Rachael. Everyone thought she was an old friend of ours because of how genuine she comes across in the moment. I highly recommend Officially Hitched! read more

Rachel was the best officiant we could have asked to officiant our marriage! We only contacted her a couple of weeks in advance and she did not mind performing a pretty last minute ceremony for us. Our planning went super smoothly and she was very flexible with our schedules. She created a folder with samples of vows, ceremony plans and even a questionary that asked very meaningful questions about our relationship. Overall, it was very helpful as we both reflected on our relationship before writing our vows and thinking about what type of ceremony we wanted to have. A walk to our wedding destination was a little hike. Rachael, thank you so much again for walking with us and supporting our friend who had a broken leg! read more

Renesha officiated our wedding and we could not have asked for a better experience. She took the time to get to know us, helped us brainstorm details about the procession, love story, and vows, and totally blew everyone away with her delivery. So many people asked us afterward if she was our friend, because that's how personal it felt. And truly, we really did feel like we had a close friend up there with us. We will be forever grateful for the time Renesha took to help us through the process and for being the one to marry us. She made it feel so special and memorable. read more

We loved working with Rachael! My wife and I decided to get officially married 4 years after our destination wedding where we never got around to the paperwork once we flew back home. We were so very fortunate to find Rachael to be our minister. She was so professional and fun to work with. She made the ceremony process so clear and easy to follow from the start. Beginning with our first phone call, Rachael made both myself and my wife very comfortable. I especially liked her sense of humor Rachael was very quick to respond to our ongoing questions and concerns as the wedding drew closer. This brought much relief to us during this stressful and exciting wedding process. As we provided our relationship history, Rachael created and beautiful and spot on ceremony. She captured our favorite memories, our relationship milestones and also provided a respectful notation for our lost loved ones. Finally meeting her in person at our rehearsal dinner after calls and many emails, we both felt like we had known her for much longer. In short Rachael was amazing! I would recommend her to everyone I know again and again. Our many thanks to Rachael for helping to make our special day happen just like we dreamed. Thank you Rachael! Elena & Carine read more

Rachael officiated our destination wedding in Napa and it could not have gone any better. She was extremely professional, calm, and easy going. I loved how she pulled information about us from a questionnaire and put together the ultimate ceremony, even mentioning our dogs. I teared up when she sent the draft of our ceremony a few days before the wedding. It was perfect. Rachael was amazing. She made this whole process extremely easy and stress free. We wanted a very simple and fast ceremony to have more time for photos since we had it at City Hall. read more

Rachael performed our ceremony beautifully! She was so easy to work with over virtual meetings leading up to our big day. My (now!) husband has a pretty busy work schedule, and Rachael was so patient just working with me via video sessions, and accommodating when I passed on some last minute changes the groom made to the ceremony a couple days prior to the big day, lol. I thought it would be difficult to create a ceremony for us as we're not religious and trying to Google ceremony readings that were not only non-denominational but also not overly sentimental/sappy was proving to be harder than anticipated. Then after our initial consultation, Rachael had so many resources to help us find readings or quotes that felt true to us. She also made sure not only that the ceremony flowed well with elements we had picked out from those resources, but that it incorporated personal details she had us provide in a questionnaire. Even though we used a lot of traditional/scripted ceremony bits, she made it so that it felt very "us" and very genuine. Highly recommend working with her as she was prompt to every meeting, was personable and relaxing to speak with when crafting the script, and added such a warm, vibrant presence to our ceremony. Thank you, Rachael! read more

Rachael was an absolute pleasure to work with. She was poised, confident, and helped us and our families feel at ease. Oh man, Rachael really saved the day for us!!! She was an absolute dream to work with and made our wedding day infinitely more special. My partner and I were absolutely panicking about the ceremony portion of the night - 1, because we realized we'd left finding an officiant for too late, and 2, because we're non-religious Indians and had no idea what we actually wanted to accomplish with this part of our wedding. Rachael stepped in with 4 weeks to spare and crafted the sweetest, most heartfelt ceremony we could've ever dreamed of! She spent the time getting to know us and incorporated our personalities, quirks and goofiness into every second of the evening. She honored our family, friends and union in a meaningful yet humorous way that felt completely authentic to us. We've since received SO many compliments about how much our closest friends and family thought the ceremony reflected us as humans and how moved they were by this part of the evening! We could not imagine our day without Rachael - thank you, Rachael, for everything!!!! read more
