The only reason I am leaving 5 stars is because of the excellent customer service provided by Heidi and Aracely. There were literally only 3 people working this big store with no security. I simply needed something scanned and the scanner wasn't even working. I would never leave a minimal staff to take care of a place like this. Shame on you!!! On a positive note, Heidi and Aracely had about 10 customers coming at them and they handled everyone with a smile, an apology and EXCELLENT customer service. Order from Office Depot and your $ goes into a black hole. They canceled my order 5/3/25 after 6 weeks since they could not get the items from the vendor. Now, over 3 months! later I have yet to receive a refund. My many calls were met with broken promises. They are either thieves or incompetent or perhaps both. I've had several great experiences at this store. Hannah is always a pleasure to deal with. She is extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and customer oriented. I also like her management style, as she mentors her staff rather than just supervises them. This evening, she had an employee fix a problem with a copy machine and suggested that they try to do it themselves to see if they remember how to do it. Most people learn by doing I've found, and it's great to see a supervisor who encourages learning in a supportive environment. Hannah helped me with a small copy issue and was extremely gracious. Very Helpful I know you can find most everything you need for the office online or at big retails stores like Walmart, but I still love going directly to the source. Office Depot still has a lot of game in my book. The prices can be higher than some places, but it can be worth it. The staff is very well trained, and they can help you find hard to find items. My last two trips to this location have been terrible. The last time, I arrived at 6:45 to pick up an online order that was ready for pickup on the shelf and wasn't allowed inside the door because they were closing at 7. This time, I ordered copies through the print services. When I submitted the order online it said it would be done at 5pm, so I showed up at 6:30 and was told to cancel the order because they couldn't say that it would get started that day or the next. Don't even deal with this location, they just tell you to go to Colfax or Colorado Blvd anyway after I just wasted a day. read more

I was just at this store to FAX an item. I asked a simple question because I had 4 pages and yet the machine kept showing 3. Apparently you are not charged for the first page and nothing says that so you are suppose to know this. The little man at the print center gave me such attitude. He was not wanting to help me so he could go back to flirting with the young girl that was also there. WOW, will never go here again. I called customer service regarding an order I had placed. The first call I was asked several questions and then transfered to another extention. Someone answered and then hung up. I recalled the number and had to go through several questions again. Then I finally got connected to an agent. The agent had no idea of how to help and put me on hold while he had to research it. I wanted to download the software I bought. My credit card was charged the full amount. I was told the software download would not be available for 24hours. This is an extraordinarily long time to be able to download SO WARNING: Office Depot is slow and their online customer service is terrible. read more

I keep thinking - really? I'm going to give Office Max a five star review? Yup. I live only a few blocks away, and have for a year, but just went in for the first time this weekend. I spoke to two different employees, both of whom were friendly, helpful, and efficient. I was purchasing a four padded folding chairs, and one man went in back to get them (they only had one out on the floor), carried them all the way up to the register, and even offered to carry them out to my car. Nice! The price was also great... I'd seen boxes of two online for around $80 (for the specific kind I was looking for), and the ones at Office Max were over 30% cheaper (plus, no shipping costs). Final note - I was floored by how big this store is! It's way deeper than it looks, well stocked, and very clean. I'll definitely be back. read more

I bought a desk and hutch online for pickup at this store. They were the only store in the area to carry both items. Right after I placed the order, I got a text saying that the order couldn't be filled. The same thing happened when I placed a second order for the same desk in a different finish at a different Office Depot. Now I have two transactions for large amounts pending with my bank and I can't do anything until they are removed. Their 800 number for customer service is a joke. read more

She helped me get a hi-res image and select quality paper and did it all with a smile on her face. I feel like you don't get customer service like this anymore and she was awesome! We normally experience pretty good customer service at Office Depot stores, but this proved to be the exception. Recently, we purchased an item online at the store because the item wasn't in stock. The sales person said we would be receiving the item delivered to our house the next day. The sales person and MANAGER had problems placing our order, and we finally received confirmation after about a 20 minute wait. Regardless, we figured it was worth the wait since we were told by the salesperson that we would be receiving the item the next day. After waiting a week for the item (which still hadn't been delivered), we contacted the store. The manager had nothing but excuses: the employee was new, they were busy, blah blah blah. He finally said he was going to cancel the order and credit the card that was charged. Flash forward a few days after the conversation with the manager, and the item shows up!!!!! The order wasn't cancelled. We sent an email to the manager over a week ago to let him know that we received the item and were still awaiting the credit. To this day, we have not received a reply from the guy. Today, we contacted Office Depot customer service to arrange for the return of the item and a credit. Customers shouldn't have to go through this effort to order or return an item, especially from a STORE MANAGER. Very poor experience. I don't recommend this store at all. Total waste of our time. Day-timers, white boards, gel pens, fancy-pants sticky notes, colored paper clips shut up! white out, stickers, hole punchers...please avert your eyes, I need a moment. Thank you. The ball-n-chain learned long ago I am happiest in second hand stores and office supply joints (or a pho joint but I was trying to stay on topic). Keep your Neiman Marcus and Sax, give me a well stocked office and Heidi will accept a hand in marriage. Everything under the sun to organize your life and your office. I was happiest in school because that extra set of rainbow pens was bonafide! There seems to be very little turn over with the employees which I take as a very good sign. So, the location is excellent, and they have really convenient parking, but what really blows you away is the extensiveness of their menu. It's a little too much really. I mean, am I going to be able to taste the difference between 42 varieties of Laser Paper? I've got reams of inkjet and laser lying around the house, and, frankly, it all seems the same to me. Why would I even bother to go out? I decided to try fancy stationery for an appetizer, and one of their textured resume papers for the main course. The drawing paper selection was a bit limited, and overpriced, in my opinion, so I skipped that. If I want art paper, I'll go to Meininger's anyway. I have to say overall that, despite my nutritional criticisms of chain restaurants like this, you can actually find a tasty high-fiber meal here for a pretty low price. The quantities are huge, and you'll have plenty of leftovers to take home in the convenient plastic doggy bags they give you right away at the checkout counter. However, at this Office Max, the noteworthy service stops there. I found the rumors about the unfriendly atmosphere here to be unfortunately true. I was excited to dig into the cream fleck stationery right away, but I couldn't find any tables. I eventually found a spot on the ground, but it was in a high-traffic area near the entrance, which turned out to be a diner's nightmare. Two different members of the waitstaff said rude things to me while I ate, and most of the passing diners gave me some really weird looks, apparently unaware that they too would soon be dining picnic-style. Morons. Ultimately, I really can't give Office Max more than two stars, despite the great selection and price. I mean, they need to at least put out a few tables, maybe a little self-serve ink and toner bar. I think the management of this chain needs to take a good hard look at their business plan, or this place is not going to last in a competitive restaurant town like Denver. read more

Internal pring services: Not bad! Significantly smarter & more efficient than Kinko's for projects needed asap. But still WAY over-priced compared to local printers. But does the trick when you need something printed within the hour... One piece of advice: make sure you have your project 100% ready to print. They charge $15 + $1 a minute for any edits. Do you have a business with occasional copying needs? Do you like receiving efficient service? If so, stay away from this place. This location should be called OfficeMinus. I have never experienced such incredible bad service and inefficiency as I just have at this OfficeMax location. I came in to get some copies made for my business. The person making the copies got all of my docs set up by the copier, and then left for 20 minutes. I watched him help two shoppers find items, and then watched as he tried to slowly convince someone else to buy a computer. After returning to the copy area (without any explanation regarding why he left in the first place), he had little experience working the copier and had to redo the process twice to get proper copies.I find it almost comical that it took me 45 minutes to get 84 pages copies. I swear this company must be training their employees with a Customer Disservice Manual. I am never using OfficeMax for my business needs again. read more

I've seriously stood there for like 10 minutes before they even notice me. There is a younger dude who's always there and he's such a terrible person at customer service. Normally I'm just getting stuff laminated but I took a project in, told him I needed one paper on the front and the little paper on the back of each of the lager ones, then that I needed it laminated. I came here twice in one week to have a proof copy of a comic book printed. The first time, I was helped by a very swift and friendly man named Michael. He seemed genuinely invested in the quality of my project and knew exactly what he was doing. I got home and read the proof and realized I had made a mistake in page ordering (thus fulfilling the purpose of a proof!) So I went back today and was helped by a man named Allen, who was impressively knowledgeable about the history of D.C. Comics and very helpful and competent at his job. While this store seems well stocked, carrying all the standard and exciting new brands of paper and other supplies, I always seem to feel like they could do a better job of stocking variety, at least in the electronic items. One or two choices just doesn't do it for me. Comparing how I feel shopping here to other Big box office supply stores, this place comes in third, behind Staples and Office Depot. I only go here anymore when it is the closest location, or I am verifying that something is really the best choice for me. The other thing that annoys me about this store, and about any other store, is staffing on cashiers. I am a customer, and I want to spend my money and leave. I don't want to sit and hear both cashiers try to figure out what will satisfy the customer at the other cashier. Call someone off the floor to help the poor customer out, but keep the second cashier working. I had to stand for 10 minutes so both cashiers could get a reply from the back that yes they did have the HD the other customer wanted. I've been going here for quarantine wfh supplies and so far they've had the best prices and stock for all my monitor/mouse/keyboard/chair needs. Today I went there to get the last piece of my work station; an office chair. Office chairs are expensive, and I needed something comfortable so I was pretty SOL. When I found the most sad and cheapest stationary chair, I brought it up to the register. The cashier, who will remain anonymous, took one look at it and scoffed "Are you going to be sitting at that chair all day?". I muttered yes, and she took me to the chair exhibit and pointed out a premium stock that was on sale she had found in the back room earlier that week. This $500 chair was on sale for $120, and she was giving me an additional 50% off for clearance or some other reason that I didn't question. I've just assembled this superior sitting machine, and 10 minutes in I can tell you it's the best chair I've ever sat in. You've changed my life (you know who you are), and I will be forever grateful for you and Office Depot. read more

I usually print quite a bit at printing services but after my experience with a young man there I will not be coming back. This was not the only bad experience but it will be the last. They ran out of the material I was printing in and decided that would be enough for the day. No explanation of when and what I could do to print what I needed.
