Owner graciously met me downstairs, removed item from my car and took the time to inspect the item and point out the "gem" I procured as he compared my lounge to the "prefab won't-last-five-years chaise lounges of today. He asked questions on where the item will be stored (high traffic va low traffic areas of home) and when i answered he provided a plethora of fabrics to consider. Most importantly, he did NOT expect full payment that day! Whew!! What a relief. Starting a new business is expensive so not having to make full payment before work commenced made my day. Chair is absolutely a transformation. Comfortable and I can't wait to use as a prop. Love the oatmeal color I chose.

Came with measurements and a floor plan and my designer came up with a really creative way to set up my room. Sounds great - right? It was, until when the furniture was delivered, I discovered my designer had ordered the wrong size dresser/chest unit. It fits in my room but not in the way I thought it could be arranged. I called the store immediately, the designer came to the phone but offered no apologies, no options. It's a custom piece, of course, so I can't return it. But I am deeply disappointed and will not use this particular Ethan Allen again. Buying furniture should be fun - and for the price, their customers should be thrilled with how the room turns out. I can't dump tens of thousands on furniture right now - there will be plenty of business for them over time.

We moved up to Carmel this past spring - the previous owner of our house had tried for weeks to set up a cleaning, but couldn't get anyone to respond, so they purchased a gift certificate from Schech's for the cost of opening the pool and gave it to us when we closed on the house. My husband called several times and tried to get someone from Schech's service to commit to an appointment. After receiving no reply, he made a trip to the store in person. The salespeople said they would communicate with service, but we never received a reply. I finally sent an email to the website to see if anyone would reply, and received a response from Barbara Schech-Freer. I replied that we had a gift certificate and were extremely flexible on which date the opening would take place, only asking that they put us on the schedule as soon as possible. A week went by with no response, so I emailed a final time to ask for the cash value of the gift certificate, since we were forced to go elsewhere to have the pool opened. No reply to my second email was ever received. I understand that it's a very busy time of year for the business, but it shouldn't be this challenging to receive a simple reply. If they had told us they weren't able to take us on as a client, I would have understood and not written this review. To completely ignore us this way speaks volumes about the importance they place on customer service, and so I suppose it's just as well we signed a contract with Strongman Pool Service instead. Strongman's team is prompt, thorough, reliable, and reasonable. They send us an email with a photo of our pool after every service call, along with detailed notes about what was done and results for each water test. If you own a pool in Carmel, you have options other than Schech's. Based on my experience, I highly recommend you explore those other options.

Her attitude didn't ruin the taste of the food, but this was a special outing (my first in 3 years since falling on black ice), near Goodspeed Opera House. This is a touristy area and people that run breakfast/brunch spots are usually friendly and eager to help with small requests. Often interactions with the restaurant staff adds greatly to the experience. Her sour grapes and refusal to help me feel comfortable by lowering it a smidge (I was already wearing noise cancelling ear buds, just so you understand how loud it was and that she didn't turn it down even a tiny bit), made breakfast less nice. We won't be returning ~ there are so many restaurants struggling to survive after Covid, we'd rather spend our time and money there.

Unfortunately, the next set of shades came in with the exact same problems -- poor quality and not as promised. When I tried contacting her, she was again nasty and unprofessional. She even came to my home and was shockingly disrespectful to both me and my mother before storming out without even saying goodbye. Angela claimed she would reorder the shades and claimed that this had never happened before, but the following set also came in damaged and unusable (at this point 3rd round of shades that were horrible quality, damaged, etc). At that point, we demanded that she remove all the shades from our home. After weeks of fighting with her, we finally got our money back, but it was an exhausting process filled with disrespectful communication and zero accountability on her part. Now, not only were we treated horribly and had our time wasted, but we're also left with holes and chipped paint on our brand-new walls from uninstalling the shades.
