This store refuses to print pro-democracy materials. In particular, the phrase "democracy doesn't fear protest, dictators do" violates their policy according to the employee that canceled the order. I recommend shopping elsewhere. read more

Office Depot - The image for the print job and the email from Office Depot claiming it violates their policies. - Office Equipment Near Me - Wilmington, North Carolina

Wanted to buy a small item from the store that the box was crushed. I told the cashier that I wanted to open the box before I bought it. She would not let me open it to see if it was broken. When I was persistent that I would not buy it until I inspected it, she walked away and acted like she had something else to do. No customer service is better than bad customer service, I guess I need to order from Amazon rather than go into Office Depot. read more

The managers--Alice and Ed--are not helpful. Today I used the self-service equipment since there is a required minimum for sales associates to assist. No problem! But when the self-service equipment does not print items as expected, these managers have no interest in helping make a wrongdoing right. Instead of reversing the charge, refunding the money, or printing the items for me, the excuse was that they had no control, and they seemed more interested in their conversation. Why are they there? There was no usual friendly greeting upon entering the store. No thanks for coming upon leaving and certainly no service with a smile. I did not even get an apology for the faulty transaction. I have gone to this store regularly on a monthly basis, but since I am not appreciated as a customer, I will exclusively patronize Staples. There should be consideration for patrons who have issues with the self-service equipment. I don't need my hand held because I am pretty independent. I only wanted fair compensation for the problem. Since the managers refused to assist, however, I decided to write this review and dispute the transaction with my bank. Thank you Alice and Ed for your lack of caring. read more

I tried to order a poster for a rally -- not personal, not inflammatory, not condescending -- and uploaded it to the website for printing. Within minutes, my order was cancelled "due to the nature of the artwork" (exact text: "Democracy doesn't fear protest; dictators do," pictured in part below). The first time I called the store to find out what was so objectionable, they hung up on me. The second time, they would say only that their policy prohibited "negative" content. Obviously, this content supports democracy, so apparently it's protest / dissent itself that's "negative." I won't be back. read more

I came here to complete a project and wasted time and money trying to print it myself. Cassie, the manager, went above and beyond to help me correct my errors and the print copy staff, Clarissa and Matt, were exceptionally kind and helpful also. I left with a finished project that looked better than I could have ever imagined! Great location with superb customer service. read more

I recently purchased ab Epson ET-4850 printer from the store on Oleander in Wilmington, NC. Everything was fine until for an unknown reason the screen changes the language from English to German. I do not speak German. Upon contacting Epson Tech service they were not able to resolve the issue as it seems that once the language is selected during the set up there is not way to change after that. they told me to return it to the Office Depot, I was informed that i was passed their return period by 2 days. After telling ne that i could return up to 30 days after purchase they informed me that their policy is only 14 days. I asked to speak to the store manager who was not in the store but i was assured that she would return my call later that day when she returned. that was 1 week ago and still no call. I guess that Office Depot managers do not care enough to return calls to their. Fortunately, Epson replaced the printer and all is well that ends well. Henceforth i will not purchase anything from Office Depot. read more

Went on Black Friday to shop for a new office chair. The staff was helpful and assisted me with an online order as the chair was not in stock. Friendly people and great service! read more

The staff and Store Manager are so nice and helpful! They handled a huge print job for me and couldn't have been nicer, faster or more efficient. This will be the only store I go to and recommend for your business needs. Hats off to them! read more

I decide to write a review about this ordinary store because the service there is out of the ordinary. The staff is so friendly and knowledgeable, and they go out of their way to help you. Especially at the printing booth. read more

Very helpful staff, good selection of office supplies, including desk chairs. Thanks to Chris and rest of staff.

I never write reviews but I am so bummed after spending time at this store today with such bad service. Wanted to print some files and chose to use the Self Serve printers. First two documents printed fine. As I continued, it was taking forever as the other documents had to be converted to .pdf format and then the print job cost had to be calculated. This was a very slow process bordering on ridiculous. At one point while I'm waiting for the computer / printer to process, one of the 3 women behind the Print counter asked me if I needed help. I complained about the slowness and she advised me to cancel the job and let them print it for me. Since I thought I was almost to the actual printing, I said I would continue. I was not near to printing the document and eventually cancelled it. I then wrote down the four files on my USB that I wanted to have printed. At that point there was a man and a woman behind the counter. The woman was waiting on someone. I told the man what I needed and was told, "I have to call someone, because I don't work in this section." The person he called never came. He told the woman waiting on the other customer what I was waiting for but I was never acknowledged. Would have been nice if she had taken a moment to let me know how long it might be for service. After standing there for what seemed like a very long time, I just left. I will go to Staples from now on. read more

Only Office Depot in my area...recently moved from Richmond, Virginia, where I was used to exemplary service from my neighborhood Office Depot. Not so here. Staffed this evening with young people who were more interested in socializing amongst themselves than on being customer friendly. Probably the shabbiest Depot I have been in, also. read more

This place is awful! It's dirty and the bathrooms are dirty and smelly. We wanted to try out a pair of headphones but the plug was stuck in the display. We came back to try them a few days later and the plug was still stuck and the trash sitting on the display shelf was still there. Craziness. This is so not my favorite place for office supplies. read more

The other reviews are spot on, this place is ridiculously understaffed and management is a joke. I came by to print two documents on 8x11 plain white paper however when I arrived there were already two other people in line after patiently waiting 25 minutes without even being acknowledged I asked the other woman at the register to call for backup. 10 minutes later the manager emerged from the back and began to help people in the print line which had grown to five people. After waiting 40 minutes it was finally my turn and the manager informed me that he had broken the printer and it would be a few minutes while he reset everything. I left frustrated and angry that I had wasted so much time and still had no prints. read more

Store is old and in need of an update. Liked shopping here anyhow as it is convenient. However on this most recent trip, the cashier was rude and had an attitude. Took my business to Staples and found the item I needed was priced lower AND their store is much nicer with friendly staff members. I think I'll be a Staples customer from now on. read more

I called them because I couldn't find out how much regular, generic business cards were from the website. First the woman who picked up sounds like she hated her job, I asked her what type of bundles did the business cards come in and how much for each bundle. She was like have you checked the website? I was like yes and that's why I called. she was like your gonna have to wait because I have 2 customers in front of you. And I waited for 10 minutes only for them to hang up on me. Customer service is terrible and management has some work to do with staffing the stores. read more

Worst service I have ever experienced! Rude staff. I stood there and waited for thirty minutes with no help shipping my package and got attitude from the staff .Recommend going somewhere else! read more

great service, and they definitely got my copies done with speed, and it is not even my local store!

I primarily come here for print services but I find everyone in the store is helpful. The print services manager and employees are bright, expedient and know their stuff. read more

Awful customer service. Every time I come to this place they can never help me do what I need to do and they never seem happy to even try to help. Do yourself a favor and go down the road to Office MAX. read more

This is regarding the Wilmington, NC Office Depot. I have bought from this store for years. I purchased an extended warranty on my Samsung laptop. It was explained to me that would cover the unit for spills or if it was dropped. I was told that if I ever needed to the laptop could be brought back to the store for replacement. After dropping the computer the case cracked. I used it for a while until it would not close & the power cord would not connect. I took the laptop back to the store. They were not able to replace it but I was told I could send it in for repair. I sent it back for repair on 7/10/15. I bought a new computer from Office Depot that didn't work as well as the old one. I was told that maybe I needed a new modem or router which I replaced. Finally I took the new computer back & it was exchanged. The new computer works better but not as well as the old one that I had sent away. I was without the old computer for a month until I received it back on 8/11/15. The power cord will now connect but the case is still cracked. It cracks more each time it is opened or closed. I called to let the service center know that the case is still cracked. They suggested I send it back, even though I have only had the computer back for 2 days! The extended warranties are expensive. In my case I shouldn't have purchased an extended warranty. My suggestion is to save your money & plan on replacing your computer more often. I am going to do this but I am going to try another store. I am curious if customer service will be better somewhere else. I will avoid Office Depot in the future. My grade is 0 stars but I have to click at least 1 star for my review to be published! read more
