My husband and I purchased a new HP printer at Office Depot on Broadway yesterday. We needed some help and the Asst. Manager Rich was immediately there to help us. We went through all our needs and decided to stay with the HP printer. When we got home to install it there was a damage code for the magenta ink. We installed a new ink cartridge and we still got the error message. Frustrated I packed everything up again and went back to Office Depot. Rich immediately asked what the problem was; he marked it faulty/damaged and gave me the choice of a getting the same printer or buying a different brand. We decided to switch to an Epson for the first time in our lives. Got it home and installed it and are thrilled with it. It's much quieter than the HP and prints quickly. Very nice product. But the best part of the whole experience what what great support I got especially from Rich but it also included the cashier and the tech dept. Here is the 1 star review for Office Depot corporate I online ordered a $1500.00 desk for delivery. Today I get a call from someone I barley understand that payment did not go throw and they need my CC. Well I checked PayPal and it said waiting on them to accept charges. 1 hr phone call with office dumpster they tryed to charge PayPal $1600.00 because tax. Umm tax should be added before not after the payment. No crap they would not give more money then they charged on the web site. What a scam. Needless to say after they deliverer my desk for 1500 not a extra hundred for there mess up. Not my problem bro fix your website. I'm over here all excited bout my new desk and this made it a absolutely horrible experience. And the guy on the phone had to be told 3 times that's not how business is conducted. I waited at least 10 minutes at the printing desk for help with a small job-small but not self service. Sign in computer was not available. The clerk was busy with someone, but acknowledged the person in front of me and asked what he was there for, ignoring me. I continued waiting and he finally told me all he had was self service. He admitted to having what I needed but said he couldn't do it because he had "big jobs" to do. Didn't offer to do it later. Just- "can't do it"- guess where I won't be going to when I do need a big or small job done! It was enough to convince me that it is always best to go with a local business! read more

I am in Tucson, AZ and I don't know why it is showing me in San Francisco,CA. Do not order from them online and do NOT bother with their telephonic customer service, because you will only get a rep in the Phillipines who has no contact information for anyone in the U.S.!! I ordered ink, and it was set for Friday, then they said a truck broke down, (which means that they are now using a shoddy courier instead of OnTrac(, who could not even provide a subsequent ETA. I have been a customer for more than ten years, and I found this failure to be unacceptable and unprofessional. I can get the same ink from Walmart and Amazon. I refuse to be taken for granted and provided sub-standard customer service and fly-by-night couriers! read more

I ordered a photo online. I thought I had ordered it for the El Con store, but when I got there I found out the order was not there, but the staff was not the least bit helpful because when I went to the other Office Depot on Broadway and Craycroft, the gentleman there was able to look on the computer and see my order had been sent to the main office in California and was being mailed. The El Con store could have done that, but did not bother or try to help even after I showed them I was charged on PayPal. read more

Really nothing to complain about with regards to this Office Depot. Staff were quite friendly. I've only ever been in here pretty early in the morning (pre-10am) and it has never been crowded. They've always had what I am looking for. Proximity to places like Target and Home Depot make it a pretty good option for picking up supplies when out shopping for the workplace. This Office Depot is actually pretty nice. The employees are really helpful and they do have a great selection. I always find that their prices are a bit steep for stuff, especially calendars- I went to buy my new 2012 dayplanner at the end of '11 and it was $30 for a standard spiral-bound weekly/monthly calendar. No joke, I went to Target and found the EXACT same one for $10. Other than that, if you need a Sharpie in every color imagineable and any other obscure office supply, this is your place! read more

We have been buying office supplies from Office Depot for many years, and we have an account with them. Today I went into the location at El con Mall, in Tucson AZ, just to pick an item up that had been ordered. I got in line, and when I got to the front, the young woman told me I needed to sign in and go to the back of the line. I saw a sign, but I guess I misread it because I thought it was only for self service. She said, " The sign is big and if you cannot read it, that is not my problem." I became irritated and asked to at least be in front of the couple who had just come in because I had already waited 20 minutes. She said no. I admit, I was rude after that, but she saw me standing there, and their sign was not clear to me. I am not even sure I was in the right place. I got in line behind some women, as I did not see any other place to check out. I understand that they are short handed, and I deal with clients all the time who misunderstand certain communications, I do my best to work with them, and usually compromise. Since the Office Depot closed down on Oracle & Limberlost - which was a bummer - I've had to go to this Broadway location by the El Con Mall to have some printing done each month. Despite the longer drive for me, I like this location just as much, if not better. I actually had a bad experience or two with the printing center at the Oracle location that closed down. This location has generally been empty every time I've gone in. I've never really had to wait in line for the regular cashiers or the printing center. The print & copy center has always delivered in terms of service and quality. They get my documents printed quickly, and the quality of the printing has been great. The main reason I started going to Office Depot for printing is that I learned that the local branches here in Tucson offer a printing discount to current and former U of A students who have a Cat Card; the appropriately-named "Cat Card discount." The normal cost of a black and white single-sided page is $0.10 each, but with the Cat Card discount, you get them for $0.03 per sheet. You may want to double check this price, and you have to ask for the discount - and remember to bring your Cat Card! Though it's a farther drive, I like the location because it's right next to Target, Home Depot, and a newer Walmart (Neighborhood Market). Great deal on the printing, no complaints! read more

It should not take over 24 hours to print 6 pages of a black and white word document. I ordered it online, chose in store pick up, and it still isn't there. And that's after they told me I could pick it up at 7 last night but they close at 6 and don't open until 10am when the class I need ir for has already started. One hour pick up needs to mean one hour pick up. Not using their online service ever again. read more

Huge shout out to Jessica, who did a beautiful job repairing my iPhone screen. I had some warranty issues pop up from a previous repair, and she listened to all my concerns and went above and beyond to fix the issue. I've come to this location several times and experienced wait times of 5-10 minutes while the right staff member frees up to help (this branch seems a little under staffed at present), but all staff are considerate and attentive and they communicate well. The clerk told us we had to return to online service. We have called the number she suggested. We have called four times. Each time we have been given the run around . They state someone will contact us by phone with instructions. To date no one has contacted us. We have asked to be transferred to a supervisor to no avail. Do not buy on line. The customer service here is deplorable! I went to print a single copy of my resume (simple) since our color printer is out of order. The store was completely empty, yet I was totally ignored by the staff. Even when I asked for help, I was met with a snarky attitude and only offered minimal assistance.
