The worst customer service I've seen in a very long time. I was passed off 3 times in the few minutes I was in the store. Although there was a polite young lady that helped me before she clocked out. The first employee continually slandered his work place "this store is Stupid", "we don't have nothing right" and he wasn't to sure about the products. The last person (I believe a supervisor) seemed very impatient and rung me up, but failed to give me a receipt (over $400) and directed me to bring my car up to load and also left one of my items in the store. I had to return for a receipt and the last item, as he enjoyed his smoke break outside. The store also seemed unorganized and most pieces of furniture were not marked with a price, while it was hard to finally get assistance. Terrible read more

This store is really sad, to start with this store is very dirty..the floors look like they haven't been cleaned or even mopped in month's. The service in this store is bad as well, I was looking into buying a lap top, my husband and I was looking at them for about 30 mins NO ONE came to see if we needed help with anything....we finally ask for help. I think we could of been the only ones in there at the time. Plenty of workers standing around doing nothing, considering the fact the place is very dirty inside. Hallways towards the restrooms, floors were so sticky your feet stuck to the floor two days later we go back. WOW floors are the same way. I bet if I was to go back now again a week and a half later it'd be the same way. This is really sad that store used to be a very nice store I don't know what has happened over the years poor management perhaps. You can get everything cheaper online if you don't mind waiting for shipping. Usually if you're prepared you can order it in advance and not get taken advantage of by an Office Depot Brick and Mortar Mark Up. I go here regularly for batteries, printer ink, reams of paper, etc. Great for having it right now. Better if you order online. read more

Had a great experience at Office Depot, got an HP desktop computer on sale at last Black Friday, had "issues" from the beginning trying to burn a cd. Dennis asked me to bring it in, I waited too long and then one day while attempting to burn with online software my entire computer crashed! It was now March. I'm talkin the blue screen of death! Lost everything. Called Dennis, and even though I hadn't purchased an extra warranty from Office Depot, he got the operating system re-booted for me at no charge. This computer was only four months old by the way, but lesson learned, unless your item comes with a comprehensive one year warranty, most don't, BUY THE IN-STORE WARRANTY! read more

Brought my laptop for repair because it freezes sometimes after booting. Normally, I have to restart a second time, then it works just fine. I demonstrated the issue with the technician and in front of him signed in into my laptop. His prime suspicion is that the OS was malfunctioning and gave me an an invoice based in that initial diagnosis. A day and a half later, I got a call to pick it up, BUT that the issue was not resolved. This time he said the hard drive was bad. So, I went to pick it up. Upon taking it home, I tried to power it, BUT gave me a message of 'non-bootable.' This is the first time I have seen this. Other than my laptop being very slow at times, I have always been able to sign in and start the screen. I brought it back to the technician at Office Depot to see if he could at least restore it to the useable state it was before, albeit slow. He tried some actions but was not successful and said "sorry, there's nothing he could do." Then he tried to open the back casing to peek at the hard drive. What I noticed is how sloppily he placed the tiny screws in his cluttered work bench. After that, he tried to put the screws back. And apologized for not being able to fix it. I was hoping for an apology that he may have messed it up further since it was a workable laptop (just that its slow and freeze once in a while). Now its totally crashed and not even restarting or get to the sign in screen. Frustrated, I just took my laptop and headed to my car. However, I checked the back to make sure the screw were secured properly, I noticed 2 screws were missing. Went back inside to see if there were screws left in his work bench. He found one but obviously lost the other (with all the clutter). The I went home and decided to make a review of the service that made my laptop totally unusable than when I first brought it for repair. What say to you, Office Depot? read more

On Feb 16th I ordered a single one page 24x36 blueprint at approximately 5am online. At approximately 12:00 noon I visited the store to pick up the print. Emma and Victoria in the print department did a terrible job providing customer service. The indicated it was not done and I should wait until I am called. I asked to wait while it was printed as I needed it and could not come back to the store that day. They refused and said come back after 6pm. Had this been a large order I might have understood their apprehension. However it was one pdf doc to print. Neither of the blueprint machines were running with any jobs while was there and in the time they took to set me strait they could have pressed a button let it print and this would be a 5 star rating. They didn't come across as helpful at all. This is not the first time this has happened at this store. I have since found another print shop in town and will redirect all the business for our company that shop. I doubt this rating really matters to either employee or their local manager but eventually it all catches up to businesses that have this attitude. read more

I received my credit card statement. Here was a charge from store #609 from Temecula California for the amount of $129.99. It was for a service contract that I did not request after they worked on my computer six months ago. So I called the number on my statement. Was on hole for 45 minutes listing to a pre-recorded message over and over again. After a couple tries I called the store and got through to the store manager. Once again I got pasted the buck as they would say. For two days I have been trying to get through to the tech service number with the same BS. They just put you on hold and play a recorded message over and over again... So I googled Office Depot Tech Support. It gave me a number to text. They said someone would be right with me? "Wrong" I got a text message back all agents were currently unavailable due to technical difficulties... So Office Depot I will be taking my business else ware. My daughter placed her order online( 20 pcs fliers only) around 12 noon and was promised that it will be done in an hour(1 pm). She called the store around 4pm and they sad it should be done in 30 mins. Since she didn't get any email/notification that her order is ready, I decided to drive her to the store at around 5:30pm because they close at 6pm, only to find out that they haven't started printing it yet! So I asked if can I speak with the Manager. This guy name Tom showed up and started arguing with me after I told him my case. He is rude, very argumentative and poor customer service. He started raising his voice thats when I defended myself. He said that " Im embarrassed for your daughter"... & I replied "I'm teaching her how to fight back especially if she's right". This guy has a bad attitude and temper. Doesn't know how to provide excellent customer satisfaction/service. I asked him the corporate office number so I can report him. He said "Google it". First of all, I have been to all of the "other" stores in the area for one reason or another, Best Buy, blah, blah, blah... and NONE of them have the customer service that This Office Depot has! I have always received exceptional personal attention from the moment I enter the store. They offer services that are extremely fair, reasonable and sometimes free...so I don't know why there are so many negative reviews here. Not everyone likes to get lost in the huge Office Equipment Chain stores...I prefer smaller one-to-one local businesses that truly outshine the Big Guys by a mile! So far, Office Depot is the ONLY computer and office support store I will deal with anymore. I came here looking for an external disk drive, and as soon as my mom and I walked in, we were greeted right away by an employee. He asked if we needed any help, and since I already knew what I wanted, he directed me to where I need to go. I was disappointed in their selection considering there was only one to choose from, but I needed it so I picked it up. I also needed a new mouse since mine crapped out on me about a week ago, and I found a wireless Gearhead one for $10! Lastly, we saw some laptop desks. Ones that you can lay in your bed with, and I got one of those too. All of my items were on sale, although I was surprised to find that the external disk drive was since it wasn't advertised. They offered a cheap 2 year protection plan for the disk drive at $5.99, so if it breaks or whatever, you can either choose to get a full refund or have it replaced. They even offered one for the mouse, but I passed on that one. The lady at check-out was nice, overall, a good experience. I do wish it was a bit easier to find things, and there were more brands to choose from, though. read more

After being a dedicated Office Depot customer for over 15 years - I am done!! The location closest to me in Murrieta closed this year. So today I go to order my ink online and use my coupon for $25 off a $100 dollar purchase - it says it is not valid. Huh? I have used these coupons for years and now more so that I am ordering online and not dropping into my past local store. Since it was a substantial savings my husband offered to make a trip to the Temecula location for me. He called me from the store and said that the FINE PRINT on the coupon would not honor the discount on our purchase of Epson ink. So we did not purchase our ink. WHAT???!!!!??? So I read the card! WOW - there were actually 13 exclusions!!! One being Epson, HP or Samsung products!!!! I'm done shopping there period! I will now be a dedicated Staples customer. So long Office Depot! read more

She was all by herself, yet she was able to deftly handle my crazy custom order, as well as the other customers who came and went during the time I was there -- no problem. Office Depot is horrible on returns if you order a product online. It is very cumbersome and I wasn't allowed to just return it to my local store which many retail businesses allow you to do. It has been nearly a week and I still haven't been able to return the item. When you call all you get is a recorded message telling you the voice mail for that representative is full. This review goes out to the Receipt Retrieval Department who wasted many hours of my time with very questionable business practices on the part of those who represent in this department. So for the past 6 months (at about 2 month intervals as I'm very busy) I have called into this department to retrieve a lost receipt. At first with a bit of digging on my part I found my old debit card number and gave it to the employee who in turn found the info. and gave me a reference number, transaction date, and amount of purchase, but for IDK why they couldn't simply send me the receipt to my email and said they had to have a special department I couldn't talk to send it to me and within a few business days but each and every time (about 4 times) they never sent it as promised and during the second and third calls who ever was answering the call lied and said that they couldn't even find the receipt, finally after the fourth call an employee finally just took care of business and located and sent me the receipt within a few minutes as the very first person should have done instead of drag me into a hell. read more

WOW!! This is a common trend with office Depots, yesterday went to the Office Depot in West Covina at the Eastland Center and today at the office Depot in Temecula. Although 70-80 miles apart same sh*tty service. 1 employee helping a customer with some sort of time consuming project while 3 other employees are standing around. I'm not asking to help me save the manatees, simply print out emails. After 15 minutes of watching one employee work with a customer that had never owned a computer. I had enough. About to be done with Office Depot all together as a company. "THE PROTECTION PLAN".....I walked in the store and spoke with the manager Mark, explained to him that I have this Levono 8" tablet I bought last Christmas 2014 and bought a 2 year Protection Plan that covers full protection plan which includes "spills, drops, and cracked screens" The problem with mine was when I turn it on, its just a blank screen. Okay so Manager Mark told me to call the "800" number and explained that I will get a gift card for the amount I paid for the tablet which was on sale for $119, regular price was $179.99. Then, use the $119 give card to purchase a new one and pay out the difference. I argue with him that its not what the protection plan states. Then I told him that when they sold me the "Protection Plan" they gave me all the spills about conveniently returning it to the store for full replacement. But Mark said they never stated that. Then I showed him the papers and card they gave me which is in bold, huge!!! blue letters saying " Your covered product will be repaired or replaced at no additional cost to you!" He told me "JUST CALL THE NUMBER" Thanks Mark. Never going to buy another plan from Office Depot. And I guess they teach their sales team like car salesman... read more
