I just tried to go in to this office max at 8 o'clock, one hour prior to their posted closing time. The staff was locking the door as I walked up. I explained the one small item I needed and could see it from the front door as well as other customers still in the store and he refused to let me in. I told him I had checked their website and it showed them closing at 9 PM and he said that was wrong with no further apology or explanation. Just said that they do carry the product and come back tomorrow. I won't. Very very poor customer service on his part. read more

Store run by stupid lazy people. Went here around mid december, the place is empty. No one at the registers, and two people by the copy area, looking away. I had to get their attention, then I get this young girl to check me out. She rings up the items wrong, when I tell her theres a problem she gets the manager who make a futile attempt to fix it . Needless to say even when I told them my concerns they told me the items are rung up right and gave me a receipt. When I checked my credit card statement it showed up double the price that it should have. Lazy people, no customers and act like they are bothering them to ring you up right.. No wonder the place had zero customers while I was there. read more

FedEx drop off location. Yup, that was the reason for my visit, a Fed Ex drop off location. Close to work, and convenient. The store is well kept and organized. The staff is hit and miss with the help they give you. Trying to find someone is like finding the lost City of Gold, and the attention when you walk in ... well, two store clerks talking to each other and they might not really give you the time of day unless you really go and grab their attention. Not sure why the negative ratings. I've been there for multiple things and they've always taken good care of me. Had a concern with store brand ink. After I explained the problem, they told me to replace it with another cartridge but they ran out. They replaced it with the Canon brand ink at no additional charge. They've also worked with me on printing special projects. Finally, they give a discount teachers, which is sometimes above and beyond a typical discount. read more

I don't know why I ever go here for anything. Every time I visit I kick myself on the way out for thinking it might be better. Went this week to get a toner cartridge for my printer. When I couldn't find the one I was looking for, I looked for someone to help. While I was looking I killed a 2 inch spider that came out from under a shelf. The only person I could find was working in the print department. I asked her if she could find the toner cartridge. Without acknowledging me or my question, she got on her radio and asked someone to come over and "help a customer find printer ink". With nobody really in the store, apparently nobody could help me. She paused, still didn't acknowledge me and said over the radio, "so no?" At this point I walked out of the store and she didn't try to stop me or help me. This basically sums up my experience every time at this Office Max. I have stories about leaving a toner cartridge because the guy who fills them wasn't in. 3 days later I went back only to find they had no idea where my cartridges were. A manager finally remembered seeing them but there was no note with them so he threw them out. And what did I get for that? Nothing. Oh wait...I did get the not so sincere "I'm sorry". No discount on new ones. I am the sorry one for ever stepping foot in here. Go to Staples a mile away next time! read more

I'm not sure of all the bad reviews, but since moving to Oviedo, I've had nothing but good experiences here. I'm a teacher so I end up here every weekend making copies. Staff has been helpful and polite. The store usually isn't too crowded and there's always copiers available. read more

Went there to make some copies. The lady at the counter was extremely unpleasant and said it would take 2-3 days to make them. I have been there numerous times for copies and it literally takes them 10 minutes to make so I didn't expect to wait days. As she's telling me how backed up they are, she was just standing around. With all the big box stores closing down, you would think Officemax would improve their customer service. read more

Usually have good experiences but this last visit was inefficient and time consuming and I will not be returning. I came by after work to pick posters that took 24 hours to laminate. I walk in to find my posters still on the counter, not laminated, an hour after their deadline. And although an employee immediately comes up to me and promises they'll be finished I end up waiting for 30 more minutes before walking out. Apparently only one employee knows how to laminate and she was occupied while three employees watched. Their employees are untrained and don't have problem solving skills and even with a few great experiences, I will not be returning to risk that time-dump again. Look somewhere else for your services. read more

I have given this store many tries and just never gotten any customer service. I myself am a customer service rep and am appalled. Many times I end up waiting 45+ minutes to get 2 prints from the print center even though I'm not waiting on another customer's order to process. Never a smile, and always short snide answers. If the one kind kid isn't up there I leave, he is the only one who will at least listen to what you need done without barking at you. I've sense started going to staples down the street.. who also has way better print quality for a penny cheaper per sheet... read more

Worst Graphics department ever! I have never experienced such bad customer service on something as simple as a logo design. I went in with a photo of what I wanted our logo to look like and Clay one of their associates spent 10 minutes going over everything I needed. Said I would have it in a few days. A week later, nothing so I called and found out he had gone on vacation that whole week, never passing my project off to someone else. I then proceeded to work with 4 other associates all of which really had no excuse to call themselves a graphic designer as they could not even do the most basic of the design elements. Finally after 3 weeks, I got my logo. They put it on a flash drive I provided and said everything I needed would be there and if not to let them know. I had requested the logo be in color and also in white so it could be used on our retail shop window as a decal. The white logo was never provided and here it is another 3 weeks later (total of 6 since the initial order) and I have not received any response back to my multiple emails. Very poor customer service, I regret going there. I had to have Fast Signs redo my entire logo so I could have for my shop window. By the way, they did it in 2 days and it looks better, wish I had gone there first. My main problems is the bad customer service, just ignoring someone over something so basic is ridiculous, I was not upset in my emails or any of my dealings with them, so not sure why they decided it wasn't worth their time to even follow up with me when I had an issue. Won't go there ever again, poor staff and poor management for not following up. read more
