I was walking around with an armful of bolts and another customer offered up her cart. Good thing, I filled it right up! They are so friendly and have so much selection! Anything from yard care to plumbing, air filters, or pool supplies. I cannot comprehend how they can fit everything I need in such a small store without it feeling overly cramped -- but they do it well here! They will give honest recommendations for what you ask and will not try to upsell you on products just to make an extra buck. They are more focused on earning loyal, returning customers than creating a bad experience with higher sales. The mix of friendliness, honestly, and helpfulness has turned me into a loyal, returning customer for anything and everything I can purchase here.

This review is about the Stihl department only (it's in a separate building). The Hardware store…read moreitself would have a good rating. I purchased a $750 chain saw in the morning. When I brought it back that afternoon for help in starting it, the man who had sold it to me was very unprofessional, with a complete lack of people skills. He got angry and contradicted me, claiming to know everything since he'd been to Stihl "school". But he was wrong. Stihl's own directions for breaking in a new saw contradict what he said. Where do they find these people? I hope I don't ever have to go back there again.

I just felt the need to pop in for an updated review of a store that I really liked for fun bed,…read morebath and beyond stuff. They've been closed here throughout Covid and I was looking forward to their return. However the company announced they were closing 60+ stores not long ago and just recently made another announcement about pulling products from their inventory for political reasons . I'm not a fan of politically motivated corporate nonsense under any circumstances. If it's a Mom & Pop or family owned operation then I am much more inclined to be more sympathetic, from a free speech perspective, and I'm not weighing in, pro or con, a specific issue here. However I am exercising my constitutionally protected rights of free expression, speech, and assembly by writing this post, speaking my mind and not gathering at one of their stores. I have read exhaustive arguments of Citizens United and other legal free speech arguments, as it relates to corporations, going back to the 1800's and understand that those entities are broadly protected for their expressions but I just personally disagree with its practice. I'm leaving out professional sports and news outlets and entertainment entities because it would be easier to list the ones that I don't have on my list of no-go's joining Dick's, Marriot, Hyatt, Lyft, GrubHub, Starbucks, Papa John's, Time Warner, T-Mobile, Kohl's, K-mart, Wayfair, Sephora, Forbes and more but the one that I have long missed the most Ben & Jerry, that one stung a little :-) Bottom line: My list is long fluid but Bed, Bath and Beyond is the latest sad addition.

I was appalled by the customer's words, and the poor cashier was visibly upset by the remark the customer made. I noticed rather quickly that management did absolutely nothing to diffuse the situation and basically allowed the customer to show blatant disrespect in front of other customers. To me, that is wildly unprofessional on management's part; nobody should get away with calling a kind worker "a mother****er" for just doing their job. I'm not sure what kind of policies allow this behavior, but I do not have any respect for places like that.

I purchased a compression tester that was like $35 that turned out to be defective. When I returned…read moreit I was told that I would be charged a 20% restocking fee if I didn't trade it out for another one. I of course had decided to buy one of a better quality and was not going to trade it out for another one there. How can they be allowed to charge a 20% restocking fee in a defective item? The fact that it's defective should immediately mean that the customer should suffer 0 loss. They are not restocking it, or at least I hope they are not. And they should be compensated through their distributor or product representative. In my eyes that is essentially blackmailing their customers. It's you either keep this tool that has already proven itself to be of low quality or you pay them 20%. Had it been for use in a vehicle I would have purchased I higher end tool to begin with. But it was for a lawn mower, something I didn't work on very often so a lower quality tool would have been ok. Until that toll just flat didn't work right out of the box. At that point it immediately became clear that Harbor Freight diagnostic tools where not of a build quality that could be trusted. The tool was not being returned because I changed my mind, because I didn't pay attention and bought the wrong thing or for any other reason that could be attribute to myself. I can understand a restocking fee for customers changing their mind and returning an item, or because they didn't do their homework and bought the wrong thing. But to charge a customer 20% on a defective item because they chose not to attempt a repeat and went with a better product? To charge a customer 20% in a product they are going to be credited for via their product rep or their distributor (and if they are not it's either their choice or they didn't negotiate being credited the fault and defective merchandise when they negotiated the contract with their distributor). To charge a customer 20% when they walk out of the store with nothing? To make the customer financially responsible to you when the product you shelved and then sold them with the express understanding that it would work and it didn't? Any other company would want to see their customer walk out of their store whole, happy and satisfied. Instead Harbor Freight sees fit to charge their customers 20%. And when contacting customer service I was told a would be hearing from a supervisor. When I didn't I began calling and emailing customer service, for over a year with over 20 phone calls and at least 50 emails after being told that a supervisor would be in touch and they never were they proceeded to ignore me until I stopped calling and emailing. Feel free to Google asking if Harbor Freight charges a restocking fee when returning a defective product. It's a fact! They are made whole through their product reps or distributors and they still make their 20% profit by charging the customer a restocking fee on a defective item. HOW CAN A BUSINESS RIGHTLY CHARGE A CUSTOMER FOR RETURNING A DEFECTIVE PRODUCT?
