I read the reviews of framers before deciding on Mosers, they were dated, not many, but good. My…read morewife and I went with our picture to be mounted and framed. The woman was nice who helped us pick out mat colors to go along with our painting and frame material we picked. We had a big picture, approx 40"x 54" final frame dimension. The experiance went well and we left 50% deposit, a couple of hundred dollars. Balance to be paid upon pickup. The woman said it may take a week but give her two, fine, no problem. Time goes by and I give a call, a man informs of an issue with the mat. They do not have stock and the distributer does not either, they may get in a few weeks, but no promises. He can have the woman pick out a new color or send via phone pics of colors. I declined because colors can appear different in camera phone screens. I stopped by the next day, the woman advised me the frame was made but she had it wrapped so no damage might occur while waiting for pic to be installed. I say lets look at colors and she said she spoke to distributer, everything is good it will arrive in a week. I suggest I look, just in case, and I drove from Cantonment to Pace for this so just in case lets look. No, no, no, she assures me there is no problem. Ok, I like original mat color and she seemed 100% and was adament they would have. You get where I am going with this, right? Yup, I call 6 days in to see if its ready, advised no, tomorrow. Tomorrow comes and I get a call, sorryit may take 2 to 3weeks more. My tone tells her I am upset, she semed taken aback. I ask for the color of the mat because now I am going to check. She gives a name and I say is this the color she assures me yes. No she gave me just the brand of mat as I searched it. I did locate it though at a few places, unfortunately the size did not allow it to be shipped by parcel. Well guess we will wait 2 wks at least, see what happens. 2wks goes by and getting ready in a day to go down again and get a call its ready. Great. Go down, they pull it out and ask me how it looks and I say looks great. Mind you one thing they installed cardboard corner protectors so the mitre joint is hidden, yeaah. I paid and I felt rushed to get out. The man helped me get the picture to my truck. I get home, I start removing cardboard, perfect, perfect, good, WTF! (See pic below) Right back to them next day. Surprised to see me and I brought the boss with me too. Whats the problem they ask. I am holding it in check but inside I am screaming. We discuss the corner, they start saying they did not make the frame in house, they send it out to molding supplier, and there are tolerances, not all molding is exactly the same, and its a big frame. My thing is I am paying several several hundred dollars and no one when I was ordering told me of tolerances and the frame material may be manufactured substandard. Besides it is not even flush in the back, make the front flush though. Ok, he says give him a week, he will send it back and see what they say. My wife lets them know if they need to get her on the phone and talk to them she will because this is unacceptable. A week later I get a call its done. New frame. Much better, no corner protectors on and check. Paid in full. I also checked there are tolerances which are way less then what we received. They hid it. I am glad they fixed it but they should have rejected it from the start. They knew I was coming over 30 minutes drive to them. I consider them dishonest in the handling of my service. I like to give good reveiws as can see, their saving grace was they fixed it in the end thats why 3 stars but they should have been, honest and not pass off substandard work at the high price they charge. I put two pics of the bad corner, a pic of a good corner as what all corners should have been and the whole picture with my pup in it so you get the idea of size. Be mindful if you go there. I have another picture to frame and thinking of Hobby lobby!

Had a set of custom mats made. One was not cut straight and VERY noticeably wavy. As an…read moreestablished framing shop, this should not have even been presented to me, and redone instead. However when I took notice, the owner said (and I kid you not) "Well what are they looking at, the mat or what's inside?" and "It's not even noticeable at a distance". It was corrected, twice, but smoothed out to form a slight diagonal cut instead of redone. Best way to describe it now is the non-industry term "a polished turd". Not wanting to deal with it anymore, I left it as is. It was mentioned that the reason for the waviness was due to the custom size of the mat, and that I understand. What I don't understand is why a larger piece was not used for the machine instead of probably a scrap, and also the attitude and (my perceived) unprofessionalism of shoddy work. I seem to think if I'd gone to Hobby Lobby instead, if there were an issue it would be corrected no questions asked. I have no doubt that Creative House is capable of great work since they've obviously been established for quite some time, but I can't see myself going back after this experience for another roll of the dice.
