The printers have the capability for many options including stapling, binding, and hole punching. Instructions are posted on each copier and are easy to follow. I had a really positive and speedy printing visit here thanks to the help of Jake at the printing desk (right side when you enter). I Had hoped to order my prints and advance online but wasn't done in time to pull it off. Fortunately, I was able to walk in, email over the file and print off the items and be out the door in less than 15 minutes. They also offer a stash of paper cutters, hole punchers, etc. to finish off your project. The stood itself looked quite bare bones and almost empty but my printing experience was efficient and positive enough that I wanted to share with others. read more

Need ink? Gotta go to Office Max! I always seem to run out at the worst times. Luckily, Office Max always has it in stock along with all the other office needs. (Like a paper calendar...yes I still prefer paper!) But they not only have all the office supplies you'd need but office furniture, printers, and cords needed for your AV equipment. This one also has a print shop. The turn around is pretty quick but it does depend on the work orders ahead of you. If you need a few simple copies, they have self use color and black/white copiers. read more

Customer service needs some coaching. Visited the Indianapolis Office Depot (W. 86th St.) to ship holiday gifts, only to be told that "the machine isn't working - hasn't worked in a while." When I asked when it might be repaired, the response was "nobody seems to care." So I drove to the Carmel Office Depot (146th & 31) where I arrived right behind a woman who was unfamiliar with the shipping process. The clerk kept going to do other projects while the woman struggled to complete the information on the computer for her three boxes. When he did return to check on her, they acted like it was social hour at the senior citizens home. I'm sure the clerk is a very pleasant man, but the shipping process really isn't very complicated. It wasn't worth the 15% discount coupon to wait 30 minutes to ship my two boxes. Next time, back to UPS store. read more

I came to Office Depot to get some tape and supplies to help me with my move into a new apartment. I also checked out the office chair department because I am in the market for a new chair. There was staff on the floor walking around and offered assistance if I needed it, so that made me feel good. Office Depot is a great office supplies store and it always has everything I need, so I always enjoy shopping here for office supplies. They also have a variety of goods online on their website if you ever want to shop online for masks, hand sanitizer, etc. They have clearance racks which offer good deals on selected products depending on what you are looking for in your office. I am always very pleased with Office Depot and their selection of products, as well as their friendly customer service staff. I've been to this location several times and got just ok at best service. Yesterday I went to see about sending a FedEx package, but I had to stand at the counter and watched three people had some sort of discussion for over 10 minutes before I finally was able to get their attention and luckily they referred me to go to the main FedEx location since I had a lithium battery in that laptop. I'll keep this relatively brief, but I do think that the recent renovations to the Westfield store are a welcome change. During the Office Depot years, I always felt that the layout of the store was not conducive to finding what you needed, and everything seemed very disorganized. Now, they seem to have made much better use of the floor space, and the aisles seem to be easier to navigate. My only concern now is whether they'll stay in business. The Amazon effect has shuttered more than a few office supply chains over the years, and I just hope that there's enough foot traffic to keep this store open for the long haul. read more

I have found some great bargains here too. In the strip mall between Barnes & Noble and Petsmart. They usually are pretty busy and with margins the way they are you won't find a lot of floor help, but here's a tip: go to the copy center and someone will be able to help you normally. read more

I love a good office supply, and came here to find some stuff I probably didn't need for my new office space. So... They didn't have alot of cute stuff that I wanted but plenty of standard office supply stuff to choose from and I was able to pick up a couple things. I gotta give them a five star thought because I experience excellent customer service that went way being my expectations for a late Tuesday evening. My cashier found me a coupon, have tips on saving money and was extra friendly to my daughter. She was truly great. She even confirmed I picked up the right thing when one of my products cost more than other similar items I bought. I have no issue with officemax whatsoever. I sell on Etsy, and have used OfficeMax for all my shipping supplies. They always have what I'm looking for, and I enjoy the rewards program and helpful employees. Tonight however, I had a weird and off-putting experience at this location. Earlier today I bought some mailing tubes to ship an unusual item that I don't carry regularly in my shop. Despite measuring the item, upon returning home, I found that the item would not fit into the tube I selected. So I went to return the shipping tubes (undamaged-3 hours after I purchased them). I was greeted by one of the most unpleasant employees I've ever encountered- Bonnie. Bonnie scolded me for buying something that I couldn't use and returning it. She proceeded to chastise me telling me that they wouldn't be able to resell the item as it was out of its original packaging- as if the return comes out of Bonnie's personal bank account. Bonnie then pressured me to keep the mailing tubes and cut them in half saying "can't you use it for something?" in a condescending tone- as if it's any of Bonnie's business whatsoever. I asked her if it was against the stores return policy to do this, to which she said no. She then reluctantly rung up my return while glaring at me repeatedly. Finally I said "stop glaring at me geez". After this, Bonnie changed her tune and began to be extra-sugary sweet to me. I would have spoken to the manager on site, but honestly, I was just so stunned that this had even taken place, and wanted to get as far away from that insufferable woman as possible. She really should be trained in "how to deal with people 101". I hate calling out specific people, but she was just plain mean. read more

This Officemax is my go-to place for faxing and picking up supplies on the fly. For large quantities of things, I usually check Costco first, but when I just need an item or two, I prefer to hit Officemax. As a rule, office supply places are boring and the staff who work in them are generally unenthusiastic. But, the staff at this location actually seem to like their jobs and they will not only greet you and ask if you need assistance, but they also know where things can be found. I like this! The faxing service is not 'self-serve' but I guess I don't really mind, unless of course serving myself would make it cheaper. Yikes! Faxes run about $1 a page. Officemax usually has pretty good deals on back-to-school goods as well. read more

Good place to get your school or office supply. It sells more variety and brands than Walmart or Target. Regular price is not the best price here, but grab the items you want when they are on SALE. Their back to school item prices are quite competitive and ridiculously cheap (a penny or 25 cents). The store is usually empty during the week. Do your homework before you shop, it is often hard to get help here. read more

This location is absolutely terrible. The manager is probably the most unprofessional person I've ever had the displeasure of dealing with in my life. On top of the fact that he can not even run his store, he is disgusting to have to deal with. Not only did this individual lie right to my face, he was unwilling to fix his mistake. In dealing with Andrew, he tried to threaten my constitutional rights by telling me how I could talk, what I could say, and how I could say it as well as him throwing a few derogatory comments about armed forces veterans in the mix as my veteran status did come up in conversation. I guess what more could I expect from an individual who could not aspire to be anything more than a manger of a third-rate office supply store. If you want your order messed up, want a denial of refund/resolution to the issue, and want to be treated all around like a third-rate citizen you should go to this location. If you should feel a loyalty to the Office Depot brand, I highly suggest the location on 86th st. The manager is awesome and the employees are amazing. I would highly encourage one to try the 86th street location before giving up. They are worth the drive. After spending nearly $10,000.00, with necessity to purchase more, They have lost my business. I will be posting this review everywhere as well as tell everyone I know about this horrible establishment. I have a very large following. I will stop every person I can reach from going through the same horrid situation dealing with the defamation and bullying tactics of this crass individual and his faculty.
