Can't say I'm the biggest customer of Office Depot but I've spent plenty of money there in the past. I was doing some after Christmas organization and was in need of a few boxes that reams of paper come in to store some of my canning jars in. Boxes that Office Depot are never in short supply of and throw away daily. When I asked for a few boxes, I was first told that they'd already crushed them for the day. I asked if I could come back the next day for some and the girl told me no. She said they would rather sell me boxes than repurpose the boxes they were going to throw away. I can buy anything Office Depot sells on Amazon or at Staples. Next time I need office supplies, I won't be going to Office Depot. read more

She saw me standing there, while waiting on another customer, greeted me, saw that i needed something printed, had me send it to her, and showed me how she could make it better and SAVE ME MONEY. Office Depot - Office Equipment Near Me - Arnold, Missouri

Walked in today looking for some Cardstock so I could take it home and print my seating charts out for my wedding. Cardstock is very expensive and I needed just 9 pieces in size 4x6 which they don't have. You have to buy them large sized and cut them down if you want them smaller. I went to the counter to ask a few questions and explain what I was wanting and they immediately offered to do it themselves for way cheaper than buying a whole thing of Cardstock and they could cut it down for me as well. They were very helpful and knowledgeable and the girl that was helping me was in training but did a fantastic job not only helping me but multitasking other customers needs as well. Her name was Kate and she was super super sweet and when one of my seating chart sheets came out smudged she reprinted it for me without me even having to ask because she wanted it to be perfect for me. Instead of spending over $50 buying a huge thing of Cardstock and struggling to do it myself at home they made the process completely painless. I will be back if I need anything else taken care of! read more

Office Depot told me that I cannot send an email order as I have been doing for years; I have to do it "online." We can't. #1, the system's limits don't allow us to tell it how to correctly process our printing, which involves cutting and making two-part NCR (carbonless) copies. #2, it won't take the Store Purchasing Card that we get through our business. That HAS to be presented in person. OD's people told me I have to come into the store. When I said "Your store is 20 miles away, and I don't want to make two 20-mile trips," the manager said, "You can wait in the store for it." Me: "No, I can't. Glue has to dry and that takes several hours." OD guy: "Blah blah changes because of the virus." Me: "Let me get this straight. Because of the virus, you want me to come into your store twice rather than order by email?!" OD: "You can't, we can't, we won't. Okay?" Very abruptly, effectively ending the conversation. Mind you, this is an order we have been placing via email for years. Don't tell me you're being uncooperative because of the virus. That's simply false. Common sense says you would PREFER I place my order by email and pick it up, as I have been doing for years, rather than come into your store twice. I truly hate it when vendors tell me "You can't, we won't," and don't have a good reason for it. When I've been doing it for years, that's frustrating. When their reason for changing their "policy" is baloney, that's even worse. This store has staffing issues--they are always shorthanded, leading to lonnnnng lines and wait times, and the turnover is incredible. So even when there's a nice employee who knows what I order, he or she is gone within weeks, and I have to start all over. No one in Office Depot cares, including their regional manager, who never responded to my call, and the 800 number, which never answered the phone. I placed my order through FedEx. I went to this place on the evening before my Mom's funeral, needing to get 200 copies of her funeral program printed. The guy in their print shop was incompetent, rude and whiny. He CLEARLY had no idea how to do the simple Adobe Acrobat operation needed to turn my pdf into a booklet. He was trying to drag and drop pages from the pdf into the print screen (!), but when I tried to offer step by step advice on how to proceed (because I do this FOR A LIVING), he got defensive. When I offered to sit at the computer and fix the file, he said he couldn't allow me to do that, because he'd get fired. So I went to talk to his boss. His boss was just as useless, and repeated the 'I can't, I'll get fired' line. Then, he went out for his cigarette break right out the front doors, while I packed up my stuff and made arrangements to send the file to a print shop where the staff actually knew how to do their JOB. As he sauntered back into the store reeking of smoke, he didn't even bother to apologize for his store's lack of quality. So I got on the phone to a nearby FedEx Office, where there was an actual PERSON WITH SKILLS. I emailed the file to him, and by the time I drove over (within about 10 minutes), he had a proof ready for me to look at. Looked GORGEOUS. I happily spent my money there, and was on my way back to my grieving family in less than an HOUR. You suck, Office Max 2770, and you have made me dramatically less likely to EVER go to an Office Max again, anywhere I see one. read more

I'm glad they offer scanning services, but there was very little attention to detail (should have known when I was told it would only take 5 minutes). The scan is indeed on my SD card, but the resolution is so low and the process so hastily done that it turned out to be worthless. Check that, the quality was as low as the price was. Can't say that I'm missing any pages, but I CAN say for certain that many pages were underexposed - somewhere in the process of scanning when the document was removed - leaving me with a half-scanned, blurry document. Sad thing is, there was next to no-one in the store, the rep I gave this job to was talking to another employee at the time, so I have to assume he wasn't overloaded with work. I was more than willing to give him an hour or two since I had more than 40 pages to scan. He insisted it would only take 5 minutes. Fortunately, the cost was less than $10, so I'm not going to throw a fit about it. Just chalk it up to experience. Now I know - don't go to Office Max/Office Depot for scanning over-sized documents. read more

I used to enjoy shopping at this location. But now all you get is Poor service and RUDE employees. Will buy my supplies on amazon.com from now on. May have to wait 2 days to get them but this place is not worth my time or patience. Prices marked cheaper than they try to ring you up for. I have been going to this location for years. I do not know what happened but it has gone downhill. read more
